He was great. He came and removed it in just a few hours. We were very pleased. We would absolutely use him in the future.

His price was a little higher than I was looking for so I didn?t use him. His response time was good and he does very high-end and quality work. I usually do work myself so I don't expect needing to use him in the future.

We did not hire him because of the lack of professionalism in giving us a quote.

Mike returned my call immediately. We set up a time so that he could review the work that needed to be done. He showed up on time. Mike is friendly and knows his business. He spent about 30 minutes taking me through what the problems were and what had to be done. He was able to start the job on Monday morning. His crew showed up and started right away. A portion of the driveway needed to be dug up so that the roots could be removed. They then correctly re-graded the driveway, poured cement and re-tiled. A section of the wall had to be removed and then rebuilt. Mike showed me how the old wall was not constructed correctly and explained how they will rebuilt correctly. Mike also reinforced the rest of the wall by placing cement and rebar every two feet. His team first removed many of the trees that were pushing on the wall. They then tore the wall section down and rebuilt. When they were done they applied the finish on the wall and it looked just like the rest of the wall. Mike and his team did some very hard work but at the end of each day the cleaned things up so that it didn't look so messy. Mike came by each night to check on the work that was done. They showed up everyday and finished the project in a week. Even worked Saturday. When they were done the place looked great. I was so happy with the quality of work Mike had done.

I just went through hell on a full remodel of my home, so working with Mike was heaven sent. The time, cost and design were perfect!!! In fact he was done early. I am bring him back to look at phase 2.

It went very quick; the crew was careful not to make a larger mess than necessary. I really appreciated that they took up the brick pavers carefully enough that they could be reused elsewhere. The crew was always on time and Mike check in every day.

Overall it went really well. I originally called Mike in for an estimate on just the concrete work, but when I found out he did sprinklers and landscaping as well I decided to use him for the whole project. His crew was always on time, and Mike came by every day to make sure things were progressing. He had lots of suggestions and advice, too, since I wasn't always 100% sure about what would work best in a certain area. They do a beautiful job with brick and concrete work, leveling and reinforcing and making sure the final project is as sturdy and attractive as possible. They also worked a mountain of mulch into my barren front yard, and now my new plants are very happy!

The project took about a week to do. The experience was good and pretty painless. He did things pretty quickly and the whole thing has stayed in good shape. The price was a little on the high side.

Our house is in an historic preservation district. The design I had created matched the existing home details and had been approved by the city. It was important that the construction materials and craftsmanship also be appropriate. It was clear from our first meeting that Mike understood these goals and he was able to suggest sources that would allow us to closely match the existing brick size and color (what was common in the 1930's was not so easily found in 2008). Mike's estimate was completely professional and very fair, so we contracted for the work. The job itself took about two weeks, since there was quite a bit of detail work and a few tweaks along the way to adjust proportions and fit. In one area, for example, where we were doing repairs to some of the existing, aged brickwork, Mike and his crew were able to make an exact match by cannibalizing bricks that had been edging one of our backyard flower beds (they replaced the edging with the newer bricks.) Throughout, Mike's crew was professional, proactive in solving problems, and always pleasant to work with. Mike himself was on-site at least once each day to check progress and follow up on details. The crew cleaned up well each day and kept things well organized and safe. The final job looks terrific, is solid as a rock, and has resulted in many compliments from neighbors.

Overall, it went very well. Mike provided a good value for solid work. Our home is from the 1950's and we wanted the brickwork to match the look of the house-look original to the home. The columns are proportional to our house-not too wide or tall. The widened front walk looks like it was always there. The driveway looks great-matched the back of the driveway perfectly. Mike was patient: he showed me several brick samples and took the time to discuss design concerns. His men worked hard and cleaned up well. We decided in the middle of the job to make the columns higher and he gave me a good price for the change. The only issue we ran into was the placement of the "gate" columns-initially, they were built too close together, making our entry too narrow. We opted to rebuild a column and widen the entry, another change that Mike made at a fair price. There are also some issues with how close the fence columns are to the gate columns-we now have a fairly narrow side-gate when we thought there was going to be more space. My only advice-and this is true for ANY contract job-is to really, really detail the measurements and proportions that you want. I should have written out that I wanted the driveway entry to be a certain width and that I wanted the fence columns to arch away from the gate columns so that I could place lights on the front of them.

From start to finish, Mike was professional, kind, on time, and finished the job earlier than he said he would. He worked hard to save me money and no job was too big or too little. I have a soft spot for anyone who can answer "I can do that" to the most outrageous request. There is truly nothing this guy can't do.

Mike and his crew arrived on the job when they said they would and stayed on the job until it was completed. Each night they left the job site neat and clean. At the end of the job they left the job site in great condition. Small changes along the way were absorbed into the job. This was a true pleasure as some contractors nickel and dime you to death for every change. We are quite pleased with the results!

It went very smooth, any question we had Mike was avail. to clarify. we're very impressed. we are not easily impressed. His crew are such hard workers, diligent, respectful, personable, knowledgeble, punctual & talented! Its refreshing to see that craft manship still exists. Mike is a great guy to deal with as well. Straight forward, offers good solutions, good sense of style & is concerned about the final product as well. ,

Mike was able to meet me the day I called him. He was professional, intelligent, and courteous. He listened to my ideas and had suggestions of his own that were right on. When we did choose him to build the wall, the work was done perfectly as I had imagined it, and very quickly as well. The crew was polite and cleaned up when they were done. Mike charged about 25% more than one of the other estimates, but it was worth it for both quality and efficiency of getting the job done right.

Overall, what we liked about Mike Guttman's company included speedy responsiveness, a high caliber crew, and quality work. We arranged for 4 estimates. Mike was the only one to schedule the appointment for the estimate on the same day he got the call. (He was in close proximity to our home, but the others appeared to be too.) He was the only one to provide an estimate and reference letters on the spot, and the estimate was on the lower end of the range. He was one of only two to give a follow-up call after the estimate. The crew was professional, conversant in English, and able to answer questions. (The weather was not on our side; we had questions about the impact.) The work itself was done neatly and quickly. We were so happy that we added another project, which was incorporated in the original time frame.

Michael and his crew repaved our circular drive way and in that process he needed to create a bridge to go over a ditch. In all of that he had to not destroy our gardens on either side of the drive way.

The job had a lot of intricacies and there were a lot of people working from start to finish. The total time for this project installation was about 4 months. From the beginning, I could always reach Mike and talk to him. He was there almost every day talking to his crew and the clean up every day was very important and he did it to my satisfaction. His crew members were very efficient and they did their best to get the job installed as fast as they could. Mike always made me feel good about the work that was being done and I counted on him to pull me through such a large project. My husband was impressed with what I accomplished which wouldn't have gone as smoothly without Mike's team.
