It turned out really well. He gave me a good price. He was there when he said he would be and was done when he said he would be done. He had to work around some other contractors, so I felt he was pretty flexible.

I can not say enough great things about this company!!!! They are terrific! The company took great care to work around the schedules of all involved. Kept all of set appointments. Worked with professionalism and speed. You can not even tell that there was ever a problem.

The work went very well. I would use them again. They were knowledgeable, experienced and did a clean job. They were fairly priced.

Because of the favorable comments on Angie's List, I contacted Mike of M & M Flooring. He came out right on time and gave me what I considered to be a fair estimate to tear out an existing fireplace hearth, replace it with brick in a herringbone pattern, remove some existing, damaged oak flooring, replace it with white oak flooring to match the rest of the oak flooring, strip and refinish both old and new oak flooring so they would match as closely as possible (the old flooring is 80 years old, and the match is remarkable). Mike and his team of workers were efficient, friendly, and experienced. They had to move some pretty heavy furniture in order to clear several rooms so they could refinish the floors. In addition to this, they, many days, had to keep an eye on a little dog, so it wouldn't get out the front door. They were always cheerful, had a "can do" attitude, which I really appreciated. They were not opposed to working long hours. Their work was very good, and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. I wouldn't hesitate to use M & M Flooring on any future jobs I may have.

We bought a fixer-upper in September of 2010. We replaced windows and doors, installed central heat and air conditioning, and have a list that keeps on growing. The biggest room in the house is the kitchen and we are remodeling it section by section as the budget will allow. We replaced the old sink and faucets as our first step. Our next focus was the flooring. The old vinyl floor was damaged and stained. It made the whole kitchen look dirty and dated. We called M&M and set up an appointment. Daniel came on a Saturday with samples and talked about flooring options. Vinyl flooring fit our budget and we chose a couple of styles He also explained how he would approach the job, how long it would take, and what we could expect. Our kitchen is the largest room in the house at @ 200 sf (the whole house is only about 875 sf, so the kitchen really impacts the feel of the house). He gave us an estimate the following Monday, we called him on on Wednesday and he came back to the house on Saturday with additional samples for us to look at and we chose what would be our new floor! M&M had to order the vinyl and about 10 days after our first meeting, Daniel and his son, Ryan, started to work. They moved all our appliances to our living room and rearranged the furniture to make us comfortable while they were working on the kitchen. We had no idea there were three floors they had to remove and some uneven flooring that Daniel wanted to repair. They removed the old floors, floated a new base, and installed the new floor. Two and a half days later...we had what feels like a totally new kitchen...next...new cabinets! Daniel and Ryan could not have been more professional, more friendly, and willing to explain each step of their reflooring process. We would hire them again in a heartbeat and will use them when we redo the bathroom floor.

i was extremely happy with Mike and his crew. He was very professional and knowledgeable. . He was always on time and worked long hours finishing the job in a very timely manner. Mike left his work area clean every day.. He repaired my many damaged areas laying down new hardwood which now is difficult to differentiate the new and the old flooring. He is a perfectionist and did a lot of the work himself. The crown moulding was installed meticulously and adds so much to my living room. He is a nice guy and very easy to work with. There were no surprises and he communicated with me on a daily basis. I would definitely hire him again and highly recommend him.

We called M&M right away after seeing all the positive comments on this site and were so pleased with the work they did. They literally took a 60-year-old floor (our living room) and refinished it to match brand-new flooring they put into the adjoining rooms. By looking at them, you can't see the difference between the new and old! The team always arrived on time when promised, were great to work with, and really seemed to care about the quality of their work. For example, we had them tile over our old brick fireplace, and to make sure the job was perfect, Mike offered up his carpentry skills to also rebuild the crooked mantel himself. Not only that, when it came to our stairwell carpeting, Daniel took hours of extra time (on a Sunday) to make the carpeting wrap around the edges of each stair, giving it a more finished and modern look. We will definitely use them in the future for the rest of our flooring needs, and would highly recommend M&M to anyone who?s looking for quality work and a team that cares.

I am considering replacing the flooring in my living room / dining room and I wanted to find out how much it would cost me to put hardwood replacing my carpet. When I called M&M they were very friendly, very polite. Not pushy at all (which is one of the best things I liked about them! They gave me professional answers to all my questions. When I decide I want the job done I'd definitely call them again.

I was very happy with them. They were very friendly. They did everthing that they said they would. The price was reasonable. Everything was great. They were very professional and polite. They were not pushy. They showed up when they said they would. They weren't messy. They were clean.

M & M Flooring was the subcontractor for the flooring job we had done last November/December. The work they did was exceptional. Every detail was completed with quality craftsmanship. They listened to our concerns and preferences so that the work was exactly what we wanted. For example, we didn't like the original T strip in the transition from the marble foyer to bamboo flooring that we replaced. M & M put in our engineered floor so that it perfectly met the marble floor so we didn't even need a strip to make the transition from one surface to the other. They did not cut corners with the job, nor did they shy away from difficult circumstances. For example, the stairway sub-floor was very unstable and uneven and now the stairway is sturdy and a beautiful focal point in our home.

Another company had botched up the job. I haven't gotten the bill yet. They seemed pretty conscientious. Daniel met with me and the owner to see what they could do to improve upon it.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Daniel was right on time for our consultation and walked us through exactly what we would have to do. When the job began the following week, he came to do the work even though it was pouring rain outside. Him and his team were polite and courteous. He suggested I should stay out of the house while they removed the moldy subfloor because we have a tiny new baby. I left the house while my husband stayed behind, he confirmed that it was very nice of them to give us the heads up to get the baby out of the house. After two days of work in the kitchen the floor looks amazing. They even put all of our appliances back in place for us. We couldn't be happier with the work done.

They were very nice but I decided to put off the job. They were very businesslike and very helpful. Their estimate was very good and they made two visits. They brought samples and we had a good discussion. They gave me a good price. If I decide to do the work they will definitely be in the running. They were very professional.

Was a little skeptical after reading the almost unbelievably positive reviews here, but found it all to be true. Mike and Raoul are a great team. They know their stuff, fix minor unforeseen issues and changes without trying to nickel and dime on the quote, and take great pride in their work. And, their quote was very competitive. Mike showed up early to the scheduled estimate appointment, and had already measured the place by the time I arrived (other contractors were there), saving me time not having to wait around for him to measure. He also had samples of wood for me to look at. As the work progressed, I had questions and changes about some of the finer details, like molding and transitions. Mike never gave me any heartache about these changes and had a lot of great input into the decisions. The work ran a few days longer than expected due to changes on my part (changed tile and pattern) and additional work I asked them to do (adding wainscot in the bathrooms). They have since been back to seal the tile grout and fix other minor issues - dropped a drill that took a divot out of the wood floor and they put putty in it to smooth it out. Can't recommend Mike highly enough. I'll definitely be using him again when I do my kitchen and master bath tiling.

Mike and his crew were absolutely great! Here is the bottom line: Mike showed up when he said he would, he did what he said he was going to do, he was honest, priced the job well and took pride in his work. Just to top it off, he finished ahead of schedule! Because he had a little extra time he did some small above-and-beyond things (weren't part of the job) and didn't charge me for them. I guess he just cares about making everything right. I will definitely use M&M again.

Mike McMillan is awesome! Straightforward and a great communicator. Mike's the kind of guy who will work hard to earn your trust and make sure you are happy with the job he's done for you. If he tells you he's going to do something, he does it. I asked for an estimate and received it within less than 24 hours (I think I actually got it by 6:30 am when I requested it the afternoon before.) No game-playing -- he honors the price quoted or will work with you to allow you to make the decision regarding pricing... We just had all our floors redone and were going to hold off on getting baseboards, but Mike convinced us it would be better (cheaper, less labor) to install baseboards prior to moving in and working around furniture. Initially we really wanted to get hardwood baseboards, not MDF product. Mike went around town to get us samples, and we learned that the hardwood baseboard materials were significantly more expensive than the mdf. To save money, we decided to go split between MDF and hardwood: MDF in the bedrooms (where they would be more hidden by beds/furniture) and pricier hardwood in the halls, great room, etc. So Mike went out to get the product, and called me to let me know he found the hardwood at a better price than he quoted so he could pass the savings on to us. I love that he did that rather than try to profit from the price gap! Mike is a great communicator -- he comes to you prepared to provide you information so you can make a decision and he constantly updates you regarding the status of a project-- whether things are progressing as planned or if we've run into a problem that needs addressing, course correcting... He always showed up on time. He and his team were always polite, courteous and professional. And when he was done he insisted that we call him if we need anything else -- for example, we had informed him that we would have new french doors installed a month after the base boards, so he left us with base boards, un-installed for that specific location. He offered to come back if the door company refused to install the baseboards once it installed the new door. And, in fact, I ran into Mike this week and was asking his advice on scratched-up kitchen cabinet toe kicks that were damaged by ANOTHER COMPANY when they removed old flooring we were replacing. This had nothing to do with Mike, yet he offered to come by this week to see if he had a stain that matched the cabinetry and hide the scratches. Sure enough, good to his word, he showed up yesterday and applied stain to the toe kicks and the ugly marks virtually disappeared. HE truly is a gem. I highly recommend Mike for flooring and baseboards! I initially met Mike because he does flooring work for another company and we were so pleased with the work HE did on our floors that we hired him for the baseboards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or hire Mike gain for flooring or baseboards work.

Daniel and his son, Ryan were OUTSTANDING! I was worried about leaving my valuables in the house. Everything was treated as if it were their own!

Mike is very personable and responsive to calls and questions. Original quote was for about 1 week and ended up taking about 3 weeks (as new problems were discovered under the carpet and tile). But the price reminded almost unchanged. Had to rebuild the stairs as well as custom build the front door entry way. The workers we had were very nice and Mike was there for every step. 1 base board popped off wall after 2 weeks and Mike came to fix within a week. Over all this company is very nice, just be prepared for date of completion to change if they hit hurdles -- as with another other company.

The work Daniel did was excellent. He was extremely professional and had an outstanding work ethic. He was on time every day. He worked longer than 8 hours a day so that he would finish the job in the amount of time he had stated. He cleaned up after himself at the end each day and when the job was completed the rooms were put back together and the floors were clean. My husband and I were very pleased with the job and the company. I have recommended M&M Custum Flooring to family, friends, and colleagues and will continue to do so.

Never any problems. Everything went VERY smoothly.

My wife and I were very pleased with Mike's work. He and his workers arrived on time and ready to work everyday. They put in wood floors in all 3 bedrooms in about 1 & 1/2 days. He also installed 12" square tiles throughout my home. The flooring was very unevern prior to the tile installation so he had to mix and spread some kind of cement-filler which helped level out the uneven areas. He then had to cut and install approx. 10 pieces of plywood, then wonderboard, before applying the tiles. He had his own tile-cutter and expertly made the correct cuts to make the job look professional. He had all the tools and did not waste time. Mike's attention to detail was very apparent during and after the work was completed. On several occasions, he left the work-area cleaner when he finished working than what it was when he arrived to work. Overall, I was very impressed and would recommend his company to anyone who wants high quality and craftsmanship with very reasonable rates. I have received many compliments from family and friends with the new look of my home and I have Mike McMillan to thank for that.
