Description of Work: I called LGS Retrofitters Friday afternoon after an appraiser told us we needed an automatic shutoff valve on our gas line. Our inspector had noted that we did have a valve so we were quite confused! LGS answered the phone courteously and we scheduled an appointment for Monday (today) between 8 and 10. LGS called to let me know the technician was on his way and within minutes he arrived. He was polite, knowledgeable, and quickly identified that we did in fact have the valve. He explained how I could obtain records stating that the valve was installed to help with our refinance process. He left and actually came back to the house a few minutes later to tell me that he had called in and checked my records and was able to confirm the installation. Great service!

+ -1 moreEverything went exactly as promised, and ahead of schedule.
Description of Work: In order to get the installation permit for my new solar system signed off, it was necessary to have a seismic shutoff gas valve installed. I called LGS and they installed it the next morning. They even called and asked if it was OK to arrive a half hour early. Now that is promptness! I watched the process, and every move was deliberate and planned. And when finished, their installer repainted all scratches to former pipes and cleaned up so well that the only trace that he was here was the shiny new valve. He even answered all questions including how to reset it after a shake. Above and beyond his duty I am sure.

+ -1 moreI phoned after finding an ad online. The price quoted was $299, with a 10% discount when using the ad. I was given an appointment for Monday (called on Friday). The technician showed up early (tried to reach me first). I had to have someone here to meet him, but he spoke to me on the phone, told me exactly what he needed to do and what he needed access to. The job was done quickly. This was one of the best prices I found for this service.
Description of Work: Installation of an earthquake safety valve on our gas meter.
