Jon and his team replaced 1 slider, 1 French door, 1 awning and 13 windows (including a bay window) in our home. They worked very hard getting everything done before the holidays and did an excellent job. Very happy with the results.

Great job, on budget, on time, in a very professional and courteous way. Mike Bird makes everything so easy. Will definitely continue to replace my other old windows with Jon's windows.

These windows were for my disabled Sister-in-Law's home, owned by a family trust. Jon was prompt, courteous, and professional. His price was fair and he evaluated window needs to suit my SIL. Work was done on schedule, and the area was cleaned. There were a couple of very minor areas that needed touch-up after the fact. The initial touch-up scheduling sort of fell through the cracks, but once that was pointed out to Jon everything was completed quickly. Unrelated to the quality of the work, my SIL can be a bit "chatty" about useless and unrelated topics. The workers were very patient, and attentive with her while still getting their work done. Good on them!!!!

I had tried another well-known national vendor first, which turned out to be very disappointing (I had scheduled two appointments with them to measure and provide a quote and both times they cancelled at the last minute, saying that they had no representatives available in my area. In fact, I had two phone calls within 5 minute both confirming and canceling the appointment). Jon's was recommended to me by my hairdresser, based on what his customers had told him. We visited the nearby showroom to see what selection was available and Connie was very helpful in showing us the options to choose from. She called in Jon to address some of our questions. Jon recommended a heavier internal grid that would better match the style of our house. I submitted rough measurements to Jon and received back a quote the following day. Jon came out to do final measurements and submit the final bid. We went ahead with plans to replace 4 windows. The windows arrived sooner than expected and were installed 1-2 weeks earlier than planned. Jon's worked with us on a 2 week delay between initial installation and final finish work while we had our security service remove and wire the screens. The windows perform so much easier and better than our old wood windows and look wonderful.

We had an amazing experience with Jon's Window's and Awnings from start to finish, and I am not one to arbitrarily throw around praise. It began with the slow and tedious process of calling around and gathering quotes based on my own measurements. I experienced the whole range of responses from none at all to verbal estimates to needing come out and measure for themselves. I understand the need to measure and see for themselves, but I just wanted to get an idea of the rates. Jon was the only vendor to send me a detailed, fully itemized bid that broke down each window, cost, and labor. His bid was not the least expensive, however it was competitive, and he did honor his Angie's List discount. Jon, himself, came out to check out the place and take final measurements. This was done without asking for a deposit, unlike some other dealers. Based on the responsiveness, professionalism, and friendliness of Jon and Connie, we decided to go with them. Connie was wonderful to talk to and kept me updated on everything. The windows arrived 3 weeks ahead of schedule, and we were able to schedule an install date 1 week later. The Antonio and his install team arrived on time and got to work right away and made sure all our needs were met. We asked to have our kids rooms done first so there would be no issues with them sleeping at night. By noon, they had both kids rooms completely done, 2 more windows and 1 patio door up. By the end of the afternoon, they had all the window replaced and just needed to touch up the next day. Our place is a bit older, and there were quite a few issue that needed dealing with, like uneven walls and window openings, but they made everything look perfect. The 2nd day was spent touching everything up. There was some extensive wood work that was needed to get the patio doors fitted, but they put in some molding and made it look flawless. Antonio was thorough in going over the final balance with my wife and explained the warranty with her. The project actually came in under budget! When does that ever happen?! We are thrilled with our new windows and our experience with Jon and his team. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering window replacement!

I need 8-9 awnings for my home (about 4k worth of work), so, based on the good reviews here on Angie's List, I called Connie at Jon's as my third and final quote - I'd already called and set up in-home appointments with two others. Connie asked me to measure my own windows (width only) and "add 3-5 inches on either side" to send in before they did an in-person estimate. This was such a strange request that my husband didn't even want to do it. I thought it peculiar, but honestly understood because they're a small company and I can imagine how many wasted hours are spent driving and quoting and not even being "in the ballpark" as Connie said. I was heading out of town and in a bit of a whirlwind, so Connie assured me that if I didn't send in the measurements in the next couple of days, she would call and remind me. She didn't. I came home a week later and thought I'd give them a try so sent in the measurements as requested. In addition, I also sent heights of the windows so that they could adjust the depth and height of each. I was very specific and gave more info than requested. I got an email back from Jon with an initial quote that was 15% higher than the other two places and realized that the quote he had given was for the widths I'd given PLUS the additional 3-5" per side. He didn't know that Connie had already requested that! In addition, every one of the awnings was quoted as being 2.5' high and 2.5' feet deep (the space between the wall and how far the awnings stick out) I was pretty shocked, considering I'd told them that some of the windows were about 4' high. This means they would stick an awning on the window that hung down MORE than half of the height of the window! It would feel like a dark prison in my house with zero visibility! The quote came at almost 10 at night, so in my tired state, I asked if they did in-home estimates and yes they did. After they emailed me requesting a time, however, we decided that we were going to choose between the first two companies, as this one had miscommunication issues galore. I didn't want to get involved with a company like that to perhaps save $100 from the already-quoted (and far more professional) companies. Hubby was right in the first place.

I had a surprisingly unhelpful interaction with the person answering the phone in their office. I do have a nonstandard project that will take some creativity to solve. I have beautiful refurbished 1920s windows that face a valley. On the rare occasion that there is rain and wind hitting those windows at the same time, they leak over their sills and into the house. We've weather stripped them and done what can be done to the windows themselves but they need an exterior storm shutter, roll shutter, awning or other creative solution that we hope to find before the oncoming El Nino winter we dry Californians are looking forward to. However, when answering the phone, the woman at Jon's seemed very busy and uninterested in solving anything that didn't involve replacing windows. I'm hoping to pay an experienced and creative professional to figure out what we need but I've done a little internet research to figure out some words to say to describe the problem. I started to explain the issue and she seized on the words "roll shutters" said she had no idea what they were and that Jon's only replaces windows. That was confusing b/c their website says they do "windows and awnings" and are "everything for your windows one-stop shop" and that they've been voted "best of Burbank" for numerous years running. When I saw the website I thought they would at least ask some questions or come look at the problem to attempt to figure out what they could do. I assume this won't be cheap and that if I find the right shop it will be a "win win" situation for both of us. Instead, she told me they did one thing (replace windows) and acted as if I were wasting her time. It was very disappointing. Oh well, moving on!

Vendor provided estimate within week of initial contact. Installation crew arrived as scheduled and worked steadily until awning and its hardware were complete. Advise any buyer to be on site during installation, as the supporting metal poles for my awning were pre-finished in the wrong color. I showed the work order to the foreman and he had the poles repainted during the installation. Quality of materials and bracing and workmanship appear excellent. Only time and weather will tell if the awning maintains its color and the bracing remains firmly secured for 10 years as promised.

This was a wonderful experience start to finish. Connie kept us up to date by phone and Jon/Connie sent relevant documents and information online same day as requested. They were pleasant and efficient, truly professional. Their prices were more than competitive. I have used other awnings suppliers with very negative results, so was particularly delighted with them. They deserve your business!

Jon's Window and Awning was wonderful to work with and our project came out perfectly. Jon was able to provide us with an option that matched our existing windows also kept in mind our budget. Would highly recommend them.

I was very happy with my experience at Jon's Awning. I appreciated that as I requested he gave me an estimate when I emailed him exactly what I wanted including size. Another company I contacted wanted my address first and said someone would call me back and no one did. Communication was very prompt and easy via email and phone and my new awning looks great.

When I explaind to Connie over at Jons the problem I had not only did she say that it was something I could do myself she actually helped me figure out the best way to do it. she saved me time and money and she asked for nothing. How often does a business help you out for free?. I may not have used Jons but I highly recommend them.

They came out and gave me an estimate and they were very nice but I ended up going with somebody else. They are just very friendly and professional. He was on time and he gave us a call, it was very nice.

Missed installation date. Made measurement mistakes. Made corrections but shouldn't have happened in the first place. Now I have to patch and paint the holes that were drilled for the wrong sized awning.

We met Jon at his Burbank store where he explained the types of windows and doors he carried. We made an appointment with him to come and measure the window and door areas. He arrived on time and gave us a good price for the work. We would have used him but our remodeling plans changed. He was at all times very professional.

They were on time. They were very professional and we got three different quotes and options. They were easy to work with and returned my phone calls. They did a really good job with installation and clean-up. I would use them again.

Day of installation 01/13/14 two trucks with crew arrived with windows. Jon's window and Awning crew did not bother to put any padding or wraps to protect vynil windows and were just stacked on the truck with no protection. Jon's Window and Awning crew did not use truck lift or scaffolding instead performed a quiet amazing but totally unsafe performace worthy of acrobatic performances of likes of Circus De Soleil, by basically putting two ladders in parallel and having each guy guy climb separate ladder while hoding one side of it from other end. Which ofcourse lead to damages and scratches to the windows, however that did not stop the crew from proceeding with installation.Dirt and wall damages ranging from cracks to screw driver hole were left all over brand new plastere walls even though crew was made aware that walls were just plastered. Shattered glass from old window was left on patio and not cleaned. Windows were not properly leveled and at least one case closing latch does not properly operate. Two windows that were installed were wrong color and sizing but still installed and "FORCED TO FIT". No weather proof and sound proof framing were installed rendering high end triple pain Milguard Quietline windows useless for the purpose. One of the window panes in process of installation has fell out of framing and shattered, and I had to find out from my neighbor that there was a problem. Next morning when I called inquire whether or not email with complains was received I was told by Connie that from now on Milguard factory service will have to take care of it. When I asked how it is possible to repair vanyl plastic window scratches or construction knife punctured holes, I was told " THEY WILL HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT.

Everything went fine. Jon, the receptionist and the crew were all courteous and professional.details of the work above. We plan to add some plantation shutters and I will definitely have Jon do the work.

It was good. It was a couple hundred less than the other estimates I had gotten. You’re supposed to get a permit for a patio door but it’s just replacing one that’s there and I’m not getting a permit, it’s just a little scary putting this stuff on the internet. He had so many good reviews that’s why I picked him. I got an actual patio door in another place and he’s $800 lower than that. I have no complaints.
