About us

WHAT TO KNOW I have 20+ yrs of experience in home improvement and repairs from drywall, patching, painting, mounting, wall hangings, sealing/weatherproofing, carpentry, installations, furniture assembly, and other home repairs of all kinds. Feel free to ask about your project. DISCLOSURES I’m not a licensed contractor. I do not do plumbing. I only do minor electrical work, where power already exists, such as changing light fixtures, switches, outlets, etc. MY RATES I charge a minimum trip fee of $170. The trip fee includes 2 hours of work, after which I charge at $85/hour. These rates do not include materials, which are additional. I also provide estimates. There are certain specialty jobs such as door/window installations and others that I charge flat rates for. Payment is due at the time of service. A deposit is required if I have to order/purchase materials for your job. I accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or cash. HOW I WORK I almost always ask for pictures to help me understand the project. I usually like a picture of the specific item to be worked on as well as a wide shot of the space to be worked in. The pics are vital for saving you money because they help inform me what special tools and materials I may need to bring with me as well as helping me understand the space I’m working in, thus increasing efficiency and cutting down on runs. I also ask lots of questions to facilitate the same thing. The more info the better. And I always invite questions, so feel free to ask.

Matt was awesome! He was super knowledgable and explained in detail what the issue was with our leaking window, which I really appreciated. He did a careful and thorough job with the repair and even patched up a few other problem areas where water was getting in that we hadn't noticed. Really helpful, professional and prompt!!

It went brilliantly!! Hire Matt Hish for whatever you need. Very Happy.
Description of Work: HandymenMatt did numerous things from fixing leaking bead room window, fixing roof, fixing bedroom door, cleaning facets, hanging towel rack, fixed it so I could ger Netflix and Amozon on tv. Also looked at headliner in car. Very versatile, very nice. He explained everything. He was here for over 4 hours and for the time and what he did for me he was very fairly priced.

I had a patio roof that was a hazard and needed to be removed, unfortunately it was tied into my regular roof. Matt came up with a plan for safely removing it without any damage to the remaining roof. He walked me through the plan step by step, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. He showed up exactly when he said he would and completed the job according to the plan. I couldn't be more satisfied, his attention to detail, his clean up after, everything went without a hitch. I can't recommend his services enough.
