Doll Electric Service

From the moment Oscar gave me the estimate I knew he was the one to use for my installation needs. He listened to what I wanted and agreed with my concerns in not making several holes in the walls. I did not just wanted vents to be taped but secured to attic boards or somehow to outside vent . He was very sure he could do it and and explained how. He's easy to talk to I was comforted by his knowledge. My house was built in 1924 and he did understand the attic since he looked around during the time the estimate was given. I was completely content in hiring him that I had no doubts. He also is on the job every minute and does not just give you a quote and then sends someone else to do the job. I knew this would not be easy. Compared to the other quotes Oscar ended up making one tiny hole to accomodate the wiring to pass. That was very impressive. You should look no further because he is the one you want to hire. He was not the least expensive but I knew what he was telling me was honest ,reliable and thorough. I thank him and Adrian so much! They were responsive when I called; made themselves available on the date I was already going to be on the property getting a bunch of other things done. The biggest problem was they were quite late. By the time the guy got there I needed to leave. I gave him a key to the place so he could lock up and asked him to mail the key back to me. Since it turned out that he works out of Glendale and my house is in Studio City, he said he would drop the key off that evening and would give me an additional bill if it was more expensive than he thought. I could only assume he did the job, because about 7 days later when he still hadn't returned the key, I called him again. He said the job was a little more expensive than he had estimated, and said he would bring by the key and the invoice the next day. This time he did. The work itself was fine, but I was a little troubled about him showing up so late, and then completely forgetting to return the key until I called him again. It will not stop me from using him again. I'll just be more insistent that he be accurate about the time he will be able to get here.

Oscar was very accomodating and professional. As part of a bathroom remodel, we needed to replace an old ceiling mounted light and heater with one which vented steam from the shower to the outside. We also needed the work done on a Saturday because a family member works from home in the adjoining room taking calls during the week. I was impressed with Oscar's knowledge of what needed to be done and his willingness to meet our scheduling needs. Oscar arrived with a helper as scheduled. When the ducting piece needed to vent to the outside did not fit properly, he arranged for someone to pick up the needed part and bring it to our house. He and the helper also installed a light fixture where one had not existed. This light fixture took care of a problem with insufficient lighting and shadows when using the mirror in the bathroom. The entire project was performed professionally and knowledgeably. Oscar's price was about in the middle of the bids we obtained. His knowledge of the job was at the upper end of those we spoke with.We were so pleased with the Panasonic heat, light and fan unit as well as the installation, we subsequently had Oscar install one in another bathroom as well as perform other electrical work.

Oscar was very accommodating as I had a situation that needed to be addressed within a couple of days and the electrician I normally use was unavailable. As part of a kitchen remodel, I was having a doorway relocated and a pocket door installed and needed to relocate electrical conduit, switches, plugs, etc. Oscar knew exactly how to handle the situation and relocated the electrical to make room for the rough framing for the new doorway.Upon arriving, he surveyed the situation and laid out a plan for my approval. He was very professional and respectful and I greatly appreciated him taking the time to make sure I understood how he was going to approach the situation. I was so comfortable with his work that I arranged for him to install a ceiling fan in a master bathroom. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Oscar is the owner of the company. He came recommended through a friend, but didn't realize he was listed on Angie's list. On my first initial call to him he was very professional and gave me an estimate for the installation of 2 bath exhaust fans with new ducting for two baths. He is also courteous. When he arrived, he took a look at the two bathrooms and told me exactly what it would involve and the pricing. He broke it down and gave me a price for the first bath which involved new wiring and the relocation of an existing fire alarm sensor that was located in the middle of the bathroom in order to position the new exhaust in the center of the room, same with the other bath. Both bathrooms are relatively small, approximately 7'x8'x8' so space is at a premium, he also replaced the existing switch with an automatic timer (which I provided). He also replaced the 2nd bathroom but this one I had an old switch that comprised of an on and off switch and a outlet plug all in one (very cramped). I wanted to have a timer on this exhaust as well as a separate outlet for electrical. He and his assistant installed two bath exhaust fans, ran new ducting into the attic where they were mounted flush up to the side vents, installed a new GFI outlet and replaced two light switches with timers and spackle all the holes and gaps within 3 1/2 hours. That's fast. Also, not to mention they cleaned up very nicely all the debris that was created during the installation. Later that afternoon, I discovered the GFI outlet wasn't working. I called Oscar and he was willing to return 3 hours later which he fixed due to the wrong polarities on the wires (something that his instrument did not pick up before he initially completed the job). Nonetheless, I'm very satisfied with the service. I found Doll Electric to be very professional, responsive and performed solid work. The rate I found was not inexpensive nor overtly expensive but reasonable for the services performed as you are paying for the expertise of over 20 years of experience in the industry.

He seemed really great. I felt like he was going to listen to my needs. I felt really comfortable with him. When it came to the quote, he never got me the quote. He apologized about the fact that somebody else needed his work at the time.

Excellent service and price. Oscar was prompt and completed the work quickly and neatly.

They showed up on time, ready to work. Called me issues were discovered, dealt with scope of work changes very reasonably, cleaned up when they were done.

We searched for many electricians on Angie's List and got several estimates, but Doll Electric was the best in price and comprehensive services. We had just moved into an older home that needed a lot of work done to it. At first, we only wanted a fan installed in our kitchen hood and lighting installed in our garage. Oscar took one look at everything and warned us about the older wiring. Sure enough, when he opened up the plugs, the wiring was disintegrating. We signed him up immediately. They came to our home on and off over the course of a month, doing extensive work in every room. They made sure to have drop cloths to collect debris and at the end of every day, they explained the work they had finished and what was left to be done. They alerted us when they would come next to continue the work and arrived on time. I would recommend Doll Electric without reservation.

The whole experience went very well. I knew it would as I have used Doll Electric in the past. Oscar Camacho is very personable , efficient and fair. Several years ago, he rewired my entire house and charged me less than I was expecting. I would never call any other electrician!

He did a wonderful job. Most of our wiring was original and he replaced all of our wiring. Mounted lighted fixtures and security senors as well. He even satisfied the city of Glendal's inspector. He even repaired the plaster where he had to bust up to complete the job. This cost of the work was for a duplex.

The service experience was 100% positive. I don t know what else more I can say to express my satisfaction. The work done and the people who did the work were great. They have done a lot of work for us with no problems at all. I don t remember the price anymore.

They did their job beautifully. I was very pleased with the service and friendliness of them. I do not remember the price anymore but I do remember that it was fair and that they stuck to their quote. I did decide to have them install the new vent fan after the quote and they were willing. I did, of course, pay for that also. They did an efficient job.
