Carver's Plastering & Stucco

Terry stucco'd an exterior wall (approx. 12' x 10') that extends from my garage that was previously finished with paneling that was inappropriate for external use. The job required his removing the old paneling and starting from the studs to resurface the wall with stucco. Lots of layers and preparation that I don't know how to adequately describe but it also included setting a post to add needed stability to the wall. The job took 3 days to allow for appropriate curing, etc. In addition to the wall, Terry fixed miscellaneous damage to the stucco on my house - most of it minor but some seriously ugly damage caused by a sprinkler system set up too close to the front of my house. Terry missed one crack that he had intended to repair. I called to point it out and he fixed the very next day. All the work looks great - can't even tell where the water damaged part was - the new stucco totally blends in.

Terry is great. I found him on Angie's List and he certainly lives up to the recommendations. His quote was extremely reasonable, he arrived on time, was extremely tidy, and completed the job quickly and to my satisfaction. He is extremely courteous and thorough and made me feel I was in good hands.

The work occurred without a hitch. At my request, Terry Carver came to work while I was at work. When I arrived home at noon, the job was on time and the workplace was neat.

I called Terry Carver to repair stucco on the side of my home. To save time I obtained his email address and emailed him digital photos of the area needing repair. He responded quickly and gave me an estimate. He accommodated my schedule by coming on the next day (Saturday). When he arrived I showed him another area that was in need of repair that I had overlooked. . He did that for the original quoted price of $550 because he said the additional work was a small job. He worked quickly and cleaned up. Job took about 3 hours Very pleasant person to work with I would definitely recommend him.

Terry was great to work with, and the finished product was perfect - everything was done quickly and with high quality. It's worth mentioning how responsive and easy to work with Terry is - we've worked with numerous contractors since owning our house, and personality and responsiveness makes a huge difference. Terry was great in every regard, and we'd definitely recommend him and use him personally for other jobs.

Terry was extremely nice, diligent, and did a great job. He fixed a longstanding stucco issue that was under our bedroom screen door. He did it in extreme heat, but was punctual and pleasant the whole time. We had a lot of peeling stucco that needed to be patched before a paint job and Terry was great.

Terry Carver - the owner of Carvers - came out on Thursday, July 21, arrived when he said he'd be here, carefully inspected the house and gave us his $600 estimate, which sounded fair to me. We scheduled the work for the next day, Friday (Terry was starting a big job on Monday) On Friday he again showed up when he said he would as a one man crew, worked quietly, did all the work plus some additional things he discovered while working on the house, worked carefully around our plants to minimize damage, thoroughly cleaned up and, even with the extras, charged me the agreed upon $600. Having tried to patch the stucco myself - and done a perfectly horrid job - I couldn't be more pleased with how he was able to match the texture of the patched area to the rest of the walls. I was very pleased with the work, the results and the price.

Terri was, from the beginning, a total professional. He fit me in right away to come look at the job. He was very personable and happy to answer my questions. He was my third bid and I hired him because of how thoughtful, honest and confident he was. The job was a challenge because the electrician had taken down the big old-fashioned wood box that housed the OLD electric panel. Then the electrician secured the NEW wall mount electrical box right onto the framing for that old fashioned box. All the stucco bidders stated this was wrong, but it couldn't be changed. Even the inspector who passed the electrical work was skeptical that the stucco job would really be waterproof, so he required an inspection for the waterproofing part of the job. Terri came (always punctual) took out all the old framing except about an inch from the new electric box (a difficult and precise task). I saw the outstanding waterproofing job he did, which passed inspection the next day. Terri came back to add the stucco. I couldn't believe the job! Amazing transitions right up to the box. The stucco job was soooo smooth going into the old wall. He fixed the irregularities where it met the old stucco. It looks great!!! It seemed it was doomed to be one of those bumpy stucco jobs, but Terri really saved the day.

Overall, our experience was fast, easy, and pleasant. Terry did a great job.

Ted did a superb job - he is a master craftsman! He transformed the crumbling,bubbling, flaking stucco mess on the front of our house into a seamless, smooth surface in a matter of several hours. Couldn't have asked for more! Thank you Angie's List for providing such an excellent contractor!

I spent $8700 on that service. Terry is the owner and he did the work himself with one other person. He was meticulous and followed up a couple of times after the job was done to make sure I was happy. He just did a really great job. The pricing was at the higher end, but I think I got my money’s worth. It was so easy and it all unfolded exactly as he said it would. He is very professional and understands his work and in fact he has been hired by a couple of my neighbors. I was thrilled with them.

It went extremely well. Terry was punctual, and explained the process and gave advice on getting the right color on the stucco. His price was very reasonable for the job. He estimated it would take 2 1/2 days, but finished in the job in two days. The stucco looks beautiful and his suggestion of adding more color worked out well. He did a wonderful job, was very patient with questions and concerns, and cleaned up perfectly. He's more than a craftsman, he's a stucco artist.

Terry came out and did excellent work. He took his time to do the job well, and I'm very happy with the result. He cleaned up after, and was very helpful overall.

I needed high quality stucco work and went right to the top of Angie's List to find Carver Plastering. Budget wasn't a concern as I wanted to correct a slightly misaligned window installation in our foyer renovation. Terry's quote was reasonable. I was also struck by Terry's professionalism and straightforwardness. Terry filled in the stucco around the window and matched the existing stucco perfectly. He pulled back some of the existing plaster from the inside walls to smooth the transitions from the plaster the the jambs of the new hexagonal window. He worked both sides alternately to minimize job time. Terry worked with great skill and care and the job went very smoothly. I am very pleased with the work.

Terry was very helpful in scheduling. He had previously come to our house to give an estimate on extending a stucco wall outside. In this case, he was able to accomodate my busy work schedule. He arrived at the house and began the work a couple of hours before I came home. I let him inside to complete the job under the kitchen sink. He was very helpful.

My home was plagued with ugly stucco patches where windows had been replaced or plumbing repairs were done over the last fifteen years and none of them matched, it was time for a face lift. I decided to find someone who could match the original cement finish, as I thought that would be the easiest, but after a few phone calls I could see it wasn't going to be. Apparently no one either wants to take the time or has the expertise to do "vintage" work... no one that is until I met Terry, a true craftsman and artisan. He listened to what I wanted and gave me a little sample to see how close he could get to the original stucco, it was almost an exact match... eureka! Terry is also a patient man, he would have to be to work with me. Just when we thought we were good to go, I decided on a completely different finish, something I always knew I wanted but thought it was out of reach, not so. I showed him pictures of the "old world" troweled finish I wanted and he went to work, welcoming my input and in the end my home looks absolutely beautiful... and old! I will definitely use Terry in the future and will have no problem recommending him to others. He is a true professional, as is his helper Alex, who not only assisted Terry but always made sure the worksite was cleaned up. Thank you!

Terry Carver provided excellent service. He was very professional and prompt, and gave us a good rate with an Angie's List discount. The work he did is beautiful; he matched the existing ceiling surface of our 1937 house perfectly so you won't be able to tell there was ever a gaping hole there. His work was also extremely clean for plaster work; we were pleasantly surprised to find that we didn't have to clean up afterward and there wasn't plaster dust everywhere. In addition, he followed-up on his work with a phone call to be sure that the plaster had dried properly. We would recommend Carver's Plastering without hesitation and will use them again if we need more work done on our house.

Terry was extremely professional. We're remodeling an older house, where some sections of stucco were in good shape and some needed to be demolished and replaced. Terry did a seamless job of matching the stucco, so you can't tell what is old and what is new. Always showed up when promised, worked long hours, even worked in the rain. We also had him stucco a cinder block retaining wall.

Terry Carver is the principle at Carver's plastering. During the interview process he made a lot of good recommendations and spent a lot of time with me. He seemed very focused on making the customer happy. I was also impressed that Terry was not just a guy who makes bids and supervises a crew of workers. Terry is an actual craftsman who lays down most of the stucco himself. This is why I chose him to do the work at my house even though his bid was a little bit higher than one of the other contractors I interviewed. Now that the job is complete, I have no doubt that I went with the right guy. He was very easy to work with and completed the job in a timely manner. He even came back after I had paid him in full to patch up a small hole that I had asked him to leave open under my electrical panel until I could finish some wiring I was doing.

terry was great to work with, extremely professional, and went above and beyond my expectations. he showed up exactly when he said he'd be there for the estimate and same thing when he started the work. the stucco on our house has one of those funky knockdown textures and i was concerned about the repair matching the existing stucco as the largest spot to be repaired was in a very visible location. terry was able to match the existing texture perfectly, what a relief. a couple things i should add that make me have an even higher opinion of terry. first, i screwed up... after terry did the brown coat i was supposed to call for an inspection. i was away for work when i was supposed to call and didn't have the info i needed so the inspection didn't happen as scheduled which screwed up terry's schedule. he was a bit frustrated at first, understandably, as he was starting two large project the following week, but he worked with me and got the job done on top of his other jobs. second thing that really impressed me that was above and beyond was that the day terry was finishing up the job we were having our front and back doors replaced and despite the installers promise that they wouldn't damage the stucco there of course was some damage. nothing major, but it would need to be repaired. as terry was cleaning up and getting ready to leave he noticed the damage and said he'd be back later that week to repair those spots... at no extra charge. wow. what else can i say? he's super easy going, works quickly and quietly, doesn't leave a mess behind. i shouldn't be needing any more stucco work done soon, but when i do i'll be calling terry back for sure.
