+ 0 moreThe tree in my front yard had grown so large that the roots were uplifting part of my drive way. Vega Landscaping took out the tree, plus another one in the back year, replaced the tree with a new one, fixed the drive way, added soil/mulch to the back yard planters and trimmed a tree from my neighbors yard that was covering part of my garden (I requested at the last minute and he did not charge me for the work). Very pleased with the results and would recommend the company to friends.

I started out wanting new sod, and now have a beautiful new home. He drew up plans and I fell in love with them. Everything was done on schedule. + -1 moreI hired Nick Vega prior to joining Angie?s List. During the actual construction, there were a couple of times where the truck broke down which is understandable. That didn?t bother me because the work was completed. A year later we had problems with a sprinkler head and we didn't know how to adjust the control so that we could water only 1 area so we contacted him and he showed us how to adjust the sprinklers. He also fertilized areas of our sod without being asked. We are very pleased and satisfied with his work. It may take a bit of time for him to get back with the customer but he does get back and his work is very good and he is honest.
Description of Work: I hired Vega Landscape to grade the backyard, install a new sprinkler system and new sod.

+ 1 moreIt went very well. Nick is easy to work with. He made very good recommendations where to shop for the fountain and provided information on nurseries where I could check for plants. He was receptive to the changes I requested and quoted me reasonable prices for the extras. After completion, he returned to make some improvements in the hardscape and sprinkler coverage. I would recommend Vegas Landscape to anyone looking for an excellent landscape contractor. You will not be disappointed.
Description of Work: Removed 2 large trees and existing grass in the front and back of the house. Installed a new five station automatic sprinkler system, including sprinkler piping, valve stations and controller. Installed a wall mounted fountain inside a wooden framework. Converted an unused firepit into a table with a concrete table top which was polished. Removed old shrubs and planted new ones provided by us. Performed miscellaneous repair work of old brick.

+ -1 moreVery prompt from initial call to scheduling a first meeting to review project and provide quote. Initial visit was positive and seemed responsive. It took some time get followup from the company. When they eventually provided quote, the quote came as an email but only had an attachment, no personalized letter of introduction or name- just blank. The price was pretty high compared to others and followup could have been much better. I got the impression that my job was too small for their interest based on the high price and slow response/followup, so I chose to go with another company.
Description of Work: The scope of work involved complete removal and replacement of front and back yard grass, approx 2200sf. Including some sprinkler work of adding sprinklers and changing of heads on others to make sure that coverage on yard is complete. Also remove 50ft of brick in front yard in planter area. Grade dirt in rear yard to make level with patio area and also provide 5x7 area with pea-gravel for future shed. There were other items on original quote of removing a tree and capping off plumbing on top patio which was postponed and so is not included as a basis of comparison for this review.

+ 0 moreCommunication was good during the project. Work was performed with no delays. The crew left the work area cleaned up after the job was completed each day. We were very pleased with the overall look and have received rave reviews from neighbors.
Description of Work: From the beginning, Nick Vega was professional and responsive.We were redoing the front and back landscaping of an older home which had been neglected for many years. We needed a steep bank replanted with a good ground cover that would hold. The existing messy growth of trees and shrubs needed cleaning out and pruning. Nick covered the bank with netting and planted a fast-growing ground cover from flats. He added a redwood/decomposed granite pathway going up the hill. More existing plants were removed and others planted. One of Nick's talents is visualizing the finished project. He takes into account the appearance and colors of the house, in our case, gray siding, white trim, and brick. The plants he chose were coppery orange, white, grayish green, and purple in color. We were planning to use ground cover in the front yard, but. excessive rain and some frost caused us to replace the ground cover with a grass lawn, which Nick was able to install quickly and at a discounted price. He analyzed the existing irrirgation system, added appropriate valves and overhead sprinklers, and made sure that the existing system was operating properly .One large area of the bank which we thought had died came back to life.

I got 3 quotes for the job and Nick appeared to be the most reasonable and professional. He transformed our yard from a wasteland to a pleasant, enjoyable greenspace. We have continued to use his services for the maintenance of our outdoor space. His team is here promptly every week. There were some minor issues that got addressed quickly when brought to his attention. Overall, Vega landscaping has taken a load off my to-dos around the house, and has been worth the expense.

+ 5 moreVega did an excellent job of a front to back outside landscaping job that included new pool deck, sidewalk,brick trim,brick steps,stump removal,tree trimming,french drain rework,sprinkler system rework,planter redos, and new sod. Nick was so professional from the start. He did the bid very competitively and met that bid. He was very hands on as he said he would be. His team can do it all where others would have had to bring in tree people, etc. i could not be more pleased I used Angie's list to find Vega Landscaping. Nick and his team did an awesome on budget, on schedule, on performance job!!

+ -1 moreNick was pleasurable to deal with. He was very proffesional and prompt. Communication was also very good. I called Nick and met him at my home a few hours later. He tried to get sod ordered for the next day (a Saturday) but it was too late so they came over on Tuesday. His crew showed up at my home and were very courteous and got right to leveling the yard and adding soil ammendments. The sod had been delivered directly from the sod farm to my door step. The sod was very fresh. His crew had my sprinkler system modified to their liking (which they did not charge me for) and the sod layed down. After the crew finished the landscaping they cleaned up all the dirt and leaves in my entire back yard leaving the whole yard pristine and clean. It looked awesome and I was very impressed with the pride in workmanship. I would highly recommend them.

+ 0 moreCrew arrived on time. Owner included. Company discussed the job, made some great proposed adjustments and frankly got down to work. The installation involved digging 2? deep holes, watching out for installed irrigation piping, setting posts with concrete. Great communication with workers. At the end of the day it was determined additional concrete was needed. The next morning workers returned and knocked out the job in a few hours and installed the top frames. Owner and other workers came on the job to ensure the installation was correct and all the posts were properly installed. We will use these guy?s again for additional work.
Description of Work: The job required the installation of 10 4”x4”x8’ posts, buried 2’feet deep, with a concrete fill to support the posts. More or less like installing serious fence posts but these is to support top trellis growing frames 4’ on a side. All to grow Dragon Fruit.

He had his guys remove all the existing concrete and old plants and trees. New sprinkler system with timer was installed and it worked perfectly. I was very pleased with his work and plan to use him again in the future.

However working with Nick Vega it became clear that this was going to go well and it certainly did. Description of Work: Nick came over and installed 6 queen palm trees, added sod (grass) and mondo grass. I also had him install a waterfall for my small pond, add new low voltage lighting throughout the backyard and path lights in the front with spot lights on the palm trees, and re-do old sprinkler system. The project was completed in two days and transformed my backyard from dirt to a very nice place to hang out.

He showed up on time to review the job, walk the property with me and then quickly provided a professional, detailed quote for the requested services. Nick and his crew did a great job with all of the work, were very neat, performed some extra work at no charge, finished the job on time and always returned my calls promptly. When I had questions regarding the drip lines, he drove to my house to make sure everything was working properly and then followed up with me to verify that my questions were answered and the work was done to our satisfaction. My husband and I are extremely happy with the work that Vega Landscaping performed and would not hesitate to call them again for any future services. Nick Vega is terrific!

HE SUGGESTED A FEW THINGS, SO DID I. WE CAME TO AN UNDERSTANDING AND HE DREW UP A LANDSCAPING PLAN WHICK HE HAND DELIVERED. I CALLED HIM THAT NIGHT, AFTER GETTING APPROVAL FROM MY WIFE, HE SCHEDULED THE INSTALL, WITHIN DAYS OF MY OK. HIS CREW SHOWED UP AT 7:30 ON SCHEDULE, THEY FINISHED THE JOB BY 6 PM THAT DAY. MR VEGA WAS PRESENT THROUGH OUT THE DAY CHECKING UP AND HELPING WITH THE PLANT PLACEMENT AND ALL THE DETAILS. WE COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
