He came over we agreed and started service. After about three months I stopped and started doing it myself again. This year more surgery so I called Nick said he would be over next day 2:00 pm but never showed or called . I called back left message but he never called back. Getting someone else now.

The Vega team's hardscape job was a big success over 11 workdays in January. The worker's skills included tree & concrete removal, stucco repair, redwood fencing, concrete painting, & pavers. This work transformed a small, cluttered entryway into a spacious mini-courtyard. Then a backyard renovation of brick patio included a slump stone planter to match the wall. Mr. Vega visited the site every day & was always reachable by phone.

They were on time, friendly, thorough and professional. My yard looked fantastic. I will be scheduling service in the future.

When I first call Nick he came out right away and provided an estimate. When I said it was acceptable I was told it would be about 2 months before he could start. I took that to mean he was busy and that is never a bad thing. I accepted and after about three weeks he called and asked if I didn't mint the job taking a little longer than expected he could get started right away. The one week estimate of time turned into a two week job but it was well worth waiting for. Great job, good fair pricing, and a beautiful yard!

He showed up on the scheduled day and the work was completed in two days. I was very pleased with the results and will probably have him back in the spring to landscape the front yard.

If I could give Nick and his team an A+++++ I would. Nick worked with us on budget, took our vision and took it to the next level. He had his team here everyday that was promised and finished on time. That is unheard of. I now have a beautiful yard for the Holidays. Thank you to Nick and his team.

Nick was Great! help me make the correct decisions on the design of my front yard based on time and budget, work very fast, his team alway cleaned up, delivered the design and followed thru. Always answered my questions and adjusted to please. I very much recommend Nick!

Nick Vega (owner) met with us to discuss our goals and budget for our complete makeover of the backyard. Of the four other contractors that met with us, he was the only one to provide us ideas for meeting our goals while still staying within our budget. The other contractors listened and knew our budget yet ignored the bottom line completely in providing an estimate (no alternative ideas to control cost). Nick promised to help us make our yard look like we spent more than what we actually did and I am now a believer. Initially it was difficult to schedule Vega Landscaping (VL) but this is only because they get booked up and like to work on one project at a time to meet estimated completion dates. Once we did get VL scheduled, the work started on the date promised and finished right on time! The VL crew was professional, courteous, and experienced - not to mention hardworking (even worked into darkness a couple days). Nick was on-site daily several times, performing quality control and making sure his design on paper was accurate in its implementation. He was also readily available for questions and had no problem adding in a change order for additional irrigation and softscape we decided on during the process. Finally, there was a minor issue with two landscape lights that had been installed. I sent Nick a text message about the issue and he had someone out the very next day to resolve the issue - no problems since then. Bottom line, I was impressed by Nick's company and their professionalism. A refreshing change in an industry where services rendered aren't always up to par and companies aren't always as professional as you'd hope. We will definitely call on VL if and when we do the front yard AND we've already hired VL for the maintenance of our beautiful new yard. Well done, Vega Landscaping!

He set the appointment for 10 -11 am I waited. He never showed

As I stated, they, checked the low voltage lights and reset two time clocks. He explained things as he performed them and answered any questions I had.

The work started with spraying old lawns to kill the grass. For a few days I hade an ugly brown front, side and back lawn. The actual work started on July 29, 2013 with removal of all concrete around the house which took about three days. Subsequently, multiple drains were laid out to the ground and future sprinkler lines were placed and the ground would be prepared. The first hard scape work was the construction of several raised planters, All planters had in-ground wiring for low voltage light. The next step was the lay-out for the concrete. A network of wool frames were built that were later removed after the concrete had been poured. The most laborious work was placing flag stone. The team placed numerous pieces of flag stone prior to mounting them. This is an extremely laborious process, but Nick Vega's crew did a marvelous job. The whole work took more than two months (until October 6th, 2013. But the result is simply outstanding: Everything from the design, to the selection of materials, to the quality of the workmanship to the finishing touches. was extremely well done. Nick Vega is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the work, the hardscape as well as the soft scape. Since I wanted plants that do not require large amounts of watering he used beautiful California native plants in a very tasteful design and arrangement. Nick attends to all details of the work. He is extremely responsive. I mainly communicated with him by email and SMS. He responded usually within minutes! There were numerous details that would go to far to describe in detail here. Overall, Vega Landscaping and its owner, Nick Vega, get a straight "A" from me.

30 minutes prior to set appointment, Nick called to cancel and reshedule. My husband told me to give him another chance so I called him to set up another appointment 10/5/13 at 11am. An hour after the set appointment I call Nick and got an answering service so left a message that I will not be seeking for his service anymore after missing two set up appointments as this shows me that he is not reliable. If you don't want a particular job or too busy, at least be honest about it, don't let your prospect customers call you multiple times and cancel last minute or don't show to a set appointment with them. Very unprofessional.

The owner was very nice and proffessional. He was always prompt and always answered his phone when I called. The service was performed on time, on budget, and the quality was excellent. Most importantly the sod was very fresh and I had no brown spots at any time. I highly recommend.

The job went extremely well, the price was reasonable and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. Nick's crew showed up on time and eventually finished the work a day earlier than expected. Throughout the process, Nick was extremely professional and very, very nice. Not only did he do an excellent job, he also helped me fix an issue with the lawn in my front yard, free of charge. I would definitely recommend him.

I called Nick to talk about a landscaping job--in the range of $10,000 - $15,000. He was very prompt, coming out the next day. We spent 30-40 minutes talking about the job and the landscape design I had done. Nick promised a quote in a couple of days. After a week, I called him to follow up. No estimate, but he did leave a message a couple of days later saying he would email it to me. Another week went by -- no estimate, no returning the phone call. Seems like a nice guy--maybe he's just too busy.

He did a great job, but we need to put off the project till later.

We talked for probably 30-45mins, and they gave me suggestions. They said would send a written quote tonight and email it to me. I have yet to hear from them and no longer want their service.

Nick and all of his employees were extremely hard working and professional. He was always very courteous. Although he estimated the project to take one day, he encountered several unexpected problems that prolonged the work to three days. Despite the unforeseen problems, he did not charge me extra and completed the job with the utmost professionalism. His workers cleaned up after the project was done. I am quite happy with his work and would hire him again for any future projects.

I called Vega Landscaping to come out and quote the above work. We wanted to have our backyard redone for our son's first birthday party. Nick came out, surveyed the yard, quoted on the spot. His price was far superior to another company we had quoted a few months earlier. We decided that we were going to go with Nick since we needed this job started soon. Nick provided a detailed drawing of the backyard with the vision we had in mind. We scheduled the work to be done in a week and half so that we could do some plant selection. Work began right on schedule. Everything progressed nicely, the yard was cleaned up as much as could be at the end of every day. The patio that we had shortened took a little damage when it was cut, but Nick and his guys were able to repair the damage very nicely. Once the plants were installed, we realized that there were certain plants we didn't like and we didn't like the placement of some others. Nick offered to replace and move some of the plants we didn't like free of charge! Nick's team also did some extra maintenance on our yard that wasn't part of the original work scope. They weeded our side yard and parts of our front yard and we were happy to see the extra effort put forward. All in all, the yard looks fantastic! It was hideous and shameful before, but we are very prideful in how it looks now. We will go with Nick for all of our future landscaping needs.

I emailed provider to come by my home for a design/layout and estimate of my small patio. He responded right away and came out the same day on time which I was very impressed. He told me he will give me the estimate and layout within a couple of days. My main concern for the project was to get it cleaned up and to give me something that would require little maintenance, he came up with a few solutions but kept asking for budget. My primary budget was 2k, but really I am flexible so I asked him to max out at 5k, he asked a couple of times to get my brick work redone and told me the cost just for that would be a min of 5k. I declined and asked for a design capping at 5k. As of today, July 1st 2013 I have yet to receive a call or email. Maybe my small 5k project was not good enough for Mr. Vega, he maybe suitable for larger projects. Sorry I have wasted your time Mr. Vega. Have a wonderful day.

Very professional, he arrived on time for the estimate and did not stay very long and did not waste any time while he was here. I did need to remind him to email the estimate as promised, but when it came it was very professionally prepared and was of a very high quality. We did not use him for the job because his price was higher than we could afford at the time. I would not hesitate to contact him again once our budet would allow us to use his services.

The landscaping job was good. However, maintaining the landscaping has been average.

I requested quotes from 6 different contractors thru Angie's List, Vega Landscape included. Nick was the first to reply & the first to come by and give me an estimate on the sprinkler installation. Nick was prompt for the estimate. He was very professional and quite knowledgeable about sprinkler systems. His workers did a great job at installing everything. Nick followed up with me and kept me aware of what was happening. To his credit he was also quite flexible in scheduling an additional fertilize & re-seed job that wasn't in the original work order. All this, besides the fact that his prices were fair and reasonable. I can't recommend Vega Landscape enough. My wife and I are looking forward to a beautiful lawn this summer. Thanks Nick.
