Nick Of Time Handyman Service

It was expensive. He did some business for me before like for the roof and the gutters that was reasonable but when I had them on my garage door I guess it was weak and some termites had gotten in there; he can't reinforce that and it cost me a lot of money. They charged me for too much money, I don't remember the exact amount but I won't use them anymore. I would say to friends and family members to make sure to make the price down before you start.

Very professional. Came to house on time and seemed concerned about not costing me extra money. Worked quickly and seemed to genuinely care about doing a good job. Nick came with his assistant so the work got done within 2.5 hours or so. Very good. Would use him again.

Nick was extremely professional as well as his entire crew. He was always on time and was great about communicating during the entire process. He would make the time to speak with me and let me know the progress, any issues, and recommendations. He always found ways to make our requests happen, regardless of what obstacles he ran into. We also have two older dogs, he and his crew were so nice to our dogs and careful not to let them out of the yard. Nick also took complete ownership over all the projects, he had a carpenter build the cabinet and paint the kitchen and he was involved every step of the way. He and his crew were always careful not to stain or damage our floors or anything else in the house. I was extremely grateful for all the work Nick and his great crew did! I previously had a contractor go on vacation and never come back, luckily Nick was able to pick up where the other had left off. He even was able to fix many of the things the other contractor did wrong. I highly recommend Nick, I will definitely use him in the future!

Like I said, I would give him, on everything, all As.

They had to cut counter tile to install new oven. Cut could have been straighter. They didn't notice that electrical cord and outlet prevented stove from being pushed all the way to wall and didn't fix it. I had to pull out oven and move outlet. They should have done this when they saw the issue. And we expected cost to cover that.

Nick provided the initial bid. Victor did the work. Nick and Victor kept me apprised of their anticipated arrival time. Victor made sure that I knew what and why he was doing certain work. He also kept me well informed of this planned work and anticipated completion of each stage of work. I was very satisfied with how everything went.

Called for estimate and promptly made an appointment. Very professional and fair price for service. Very responsive to phone calls and kept me updated regarding the job. Did the work on a weekend and was able to repair cabinets within two hours. Looks great and would/will call again when I need some help on a task that is out of my area of expertise.

Job included removing old wood and repaired wall inside and out with dry wall and stucco. New wall outlet was installed and changes to breaker box had to be done. Very professional and clean.

One of the best experiences with a contractor. Replied to all emails. Came next day. They were more concerned with how the laundry room looked as far as matching paint colors and tiles than I was. Very professional, will use again on future projects.

All work was handled well.

I needed just one room painted; his price was off the charts, but I was willing to pay it just to have this room don before the furniture arrived. I scheduled a day for him to do the painting and he never showed up. When I called him, he said "I spaced, didn't have it on my calendar." Thanks for nothing, pal.

They took down walpaper. Painted the wall and did tile work. They gave me an Angie's List discount without even asking. They were really polite and honest. My only complaint was that something would come up and they couldn't make it. There were a few times we had to reschedule.

Nick and his associates arrived EARLY and got to work taking apart and removing the old playhouse. The playhouse was built VERY sturdy back in the 70's and required some sawing. They had their tools and worked hard to complete the job. They hauled away EVRY BIT of it and left the open space looking very neat and tidy! We will DEFINATLY call Nick if we need his assistance again in the future! Thanks Nick & Crew!

Nick and his crew responded on time. They installed a range hood without any problems. They were exceptional in the fact that they waited (took their lunch break) until my husband went to the vendor to retrieve a range hood cover that was damaged when it was shipped. They cleaned up and left my kitchen as if they hadn't even been there. I'd definitely use him again.

He is very responsible and done a lot of work for me! I am very happy with Nick's services! He is very busy but he will keep in touch with you, make lists for you, and is there for you. He is also very reasonable!

The a/c had been in the wall for about 40 years, there was rot and mold and other unforseeable damage so he had to fix that as well. He was timely and professional and cleaned up and hauled everything away. It was like he wasn't even there except now there is cool air to be had.

It all went very smoothly. Nick and his crew did a great job on all of the repairs to this house in Long Beach that was going to used as a rental. This house is very old (built in 1929) and Nick had to do some searching to find parts for some of the windows. You cannot go wrong using Nick. He and his crew are prompt, show up on time every day, clean up at the end of the work, etc. He is AAA+

This is the second job I have had Nick do and similar to the first, everything went very smoothly. As was the case in the first job, the crew arrived on time, completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up, and did a great job. Nick is the guy you want for handyman type of work!!

Most of all they we reponsive and prompt - a very rare thing with handymen in my recent experience.

Nick was very responsive to first telephone call and came out promptly to provide estimate. Nick and associate arrived early for the job and promptly went to work fixing the hose faucet and reattaching the loose air vent. I asked him to call me when they finished with the patio cover demolition which he did promptly. The patio area was left neat and clean. I would call Nick again for work that requires a licensed professional and insurance coverage.

I contacted Nick by email and he emailed back that day. We set a day, but when I contacted him less than an hour ahead of time to confirm he said it wouldn't work out, so we rescheduled for the next day. Nick said that the minimum would be $160, that it was $80 per hour, 2 hour minimum. I notice that is different than other reviews say. It seems a little expensive for a handyman, but they had good reviews Wes was a little early. He did one project after another and cleaned up after himself. I was thrilled to get all that done

The first time he came out, he was great. The second time he came out; he did not do the work and charged me. The third time he came out he broke a piece and the stuff that he said he fixed, he did not do. I ended up replacing those things later. His price was high, because he was charging me more than what he was worth. I did not mind paying $45 an hour; it was when he was charging me for stuff that he did not replace. I had lived in the unit before and I knew what had been replaced, what was new, and what was old. He charged me for something that he did not replace and he broke something and did not replace it. Then when I called him to come back and replace what had been broken, at the last minute he called and cancelled the appointment. I have not heard back from him since. I would not use him again. He did give a discount on his price. The quality the first time was great. He was late a couple of times and he was very professional. He was okay.

I called Nick in the morning. We set up an appointment for an estimate between 3 and 4. His employee ( I am terrible with names) was prompt. Looked at the job and quoted $80.00. He was ready to do the work and was finished in 30 minutes. I definitely recommend this company.

Really well- Nick was responsive from the beginning, came right over and did some of the repairs right away. He had to get supplies for some of the other repairs, we communicated by phone and text, he was always responsive, sent his people when it worked for me and all of the work was great, complete, and they cleaned up everything afterward.
