Found Walt on Angie's list and felt confident hiring him based on his nearly perfect reviews. It was a gamble well worth taken. Walt is very professional and his work ethic is of the highest standards. He is very meticulous in his handling of the work area, masking and most importantly his skill in painting. Maintains a very clean work space, and surprisingly his clothing is almost spotless at the end of the workday. I would highly recommend hiring Walt if you want the job done right. It is true, you get what you paid for. Walt is not cheap and his work justifies his pricing. Excellent work Walt, looking forward to hiring you again.

I cannot say enough about Walt. He came to my house right on time and did an excellent job in blending unfinished cabinetry to match other kitchen cabinets. He also custom shelving for my bathroom. Walt was prompt, skilled, honest, reasonably priced and an all around pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Walt to others.

My roof flashing started to peel off during a particularly windy day. No roofer was interested in coming out for less than an entire roof replacement. Walt did my exterior painting last fall (and it's absolutely beautiful), and I knew he had carpentry experience, so I called him. He came out quickly and did a short term fix. Since I had a list of things I needed, he returned later for a more permanent fix and to handle the other items. All went very well. I'm especially relieved about the fence (dog is an escape artist). Walt was really thorough, checked the whole back yard and found trouble spots I wasn't even aware of. Due to a handicap, I'm not able to deal with most things myself. It's really nice to know there's someone I can count on to help out in emergencies.

We chose Walt based on excellent reviews on Angie's list and we wanted a local business. Walt was able to come over to give me an estimate on a Sunday on the same day that I called him. He was able to give me a reasonable estimate and an accurate timeline of when he would be able to complete the work and how long the job would take. We decided to wait until almost a year after the estimate so that the work could be done in the spring and Walt kept in touch with us and started the job as soon as the weather improved. He was helpful in making color suggestions and what type of pain should go where. He does all the work himself, does not hire any day laborers. He arrived promptly every morning quietly got to work, finished the job in the specified time period. He was meticulous in the quality of his work and cleaned up the work site every day. We are very pleased with the end result. His work is high quality and he was very professional and gave us a great price. We plan to use him in the future for any further interior or exterior jobs that we may have.

Not only did he paint our cabinets, but he also installed hidden hinges, cabinet pulls and bumpers, and glass in our existing cabinets over our hood range. He is a one-man operation who takes his time, but the finished product is worth the wait. He is a disappearing breed of painter. Before he began painting, he spent three days sanding our kitchen cabinets by hand and with a power sander. He then coated them with a super high end urethane base primer and the cabinets were again sanded before the top coat of epoxy finish was applied resulting in a super smooth factory like finish. He was careful to mask all the surfaces he used in our kitchen and garage and cleaned up daily so we were able to use our kitchen to prepare dinner each evening. What I appreciated most about Walt was his customer service. He was willing to work with us to accomplish exactly what we wanted. If you are looking for an expert craftsman with integrity, Walt is the painter for you.

First, a big thank you to the folks who submitted reviews for Walt on Angie's List. You made my decision to work with him very easy. It had been a long time since my house was last painted, and the hot summer really took its toll on it. I had large cracks in the stucco in several places, and lots of peeling paint. Walt took a good look around and explained exactly how he would approach the project. He also brought a paint brochure from Kelly Moore to help me choose colors (good thing, because I was almost clueless!). He made suggestions for where we should use contrasting paint colors, to emphasize some of the house's architecture. He powerwashed the house and sanded in spots. He repaired all of the stucco. As mentioned in other reviews, he told me what he would be tackling every day. He showed up every cold morning and got right to it. I'm very pleased with the result, think it's going to last a good long time. Walt's obviously very passionate about what he does. I like that he does all the work himself, and that he's a second generation painter. I found him to be very professional and was completely comfortable with him working on my home. We're already talking about the next project!

This is my 8th time working with a professional painter. Walt's services and professionalism was top 2 on my list in the Bay area. Things that went really well: 1. Walt paints everything by hand and more importantly by himself. There is no leverage on sub-contractors. 2. Quality in everything he does; applied painters tape and protected the hardwood and carpeted areas. 3. I worked with Walt for 6 days, and each day he was punctual. 4. Meticulous to details; the trims, window trims, base boards, moldings were all protected appropriately. 5. In areas where the paint bled or dripped, he identified and went back to fix all areas. 6. He kept all working areas spotless and cleaned up daily (all work areas). 7. There were no left over trash or messy areas. Walt did the entire job himself. He arrived promptly each day and told us exactly what he was going to do each day so that we could prepare ourselves. His attention to detail is impeccable. We had a lot of corners and built-ins that he had to cut around and he seemed to handle this with ease and a steady hand. He cleaned up the job site each day and left very little; other than some fine dust for us to clean. We would definitely have Walt back without hesitation. If you want perfection, I highly recommend Walt's Quality Painting.

Walt arrived on time. He set up in the garage so he could sand and paint the doors. He sanded and painted the cabinets in the bathrooms. He was here for three days from about 7:30 till 3:00. I was unable to be home but felt comfortable with him in the house. When he left everything was cleaned up and locked up. The cabinets look great. About two years ago Walt painted my kitchen cabinets. They look beautiful and have held up very well.

Walt was fantastic. After his bid, I hired him immediately. He took the time to do multiple coats of primer and paint. We explained our choice of four colors and he advised on choosing the proper type of paint. His bid covered labor and materials - we had expected to provide materials! Great care was taken with our home as he performed his work. His work was so professional and beautiful that I added additional work (included in my cost estimation). I had a specific timeline for the job and he met it successfully and early. Even my dogs loved him! He is back now doing another job, and I have already referred him for additional work. I am so happy about finding him on Angie's list.

Walt did a great job and I'd happily rehire/recommend him anytime! I have a small townhouse kitchen with 26 cabinet doors/drawer fronts. He sanded, primed, painted, and rehung them. He was very responsive and scheduled around my needs. He was right on with his estimates, both cost and time. He spent 3 days working in my home and 2 days at his shop. They look great! Much better than other painted cabinets I've seen.

P.E.R.F.E.C.T!!! it was a big project: 3 bedrooms, two baths, 6 closets, living room and kitchen/dinette with vaulted ceilings. Plus 4 large walls of old wallpaper to deal with. From quote to finish, Walt is professional, punctual, and thorough. We appreciate very much his expertise and skill. He turned a 50 year old house into a sparkling masterpiece ready for move-in. The hardwood floors through out were protected. All teeny blemishes and wall damage were repaired. His time estimate to completion (even thru 90+ degree days) was spot on. We would highly recommend Walt and he'll be who we'll call for any painting projects in the future. It's great too find a craftsman

Existing paint on our kitchen walls, windows, molding and baseboard was oil based. Walt repainted with Benjamin Moore Oil paint and did a GREAT job. He was meticulous, and very professional. He recommended preventative maintenance on the kitchen window exterior surfaces and he spotted things in the kitchen that we had overlooked, and he took care of them with no extra cost (sanding, caulking, etc.). Walt was ont time,courteous ,friendly and an excellent worker. He made sure each room was done and put back in order and done to our satisfaction. It was a big job as he had to take off wallpaper and plaster walls before painting. He never complained. Walt tended to all details as if it were his own home. He made sure his supplies were put away when he finished the days work. He was very organized. He told us each day of his work plan. We really appreciated his work ethics and wish we could find other workers like Walt.

Walt was always on time and professional. He was amazingly neat. The paint job went smooth and we were very impressed with the quality of his work. Very detail oriented and neat. I can't stress that enough, as we picked a different company to do our house last year that was awful. Wish we would have had Walt do our exterior paint. The quality and workmanship of his work was exceptional. He responded and showed up promptly to our request for an estimate. He was honest and helpful during the estimate and gave us a price on the spot which he stuck to. The job required 4 full consecutive days. Walt was prompt every day @ 8am and worked diligently til 4 pm. When he left every day he cleaned up the jobsite then retaped and papered the next morning. He finished the job on schedule and we have already given him verbal ok to paint the outside of our home when the weather allows. The best part was that he did the work himself. At no time were there any strangers in our home.

Excellent !! I am very pleased with Walt's detail work. Walt's workmanship was great; he was on time, neat, and trustworthy. I felt like Walt's was painting his own home, because of the care he took. He was even mindful of my dog not getting out ! I hadn't painted my whole home before, and I wasn't sure what colors to go with; Walt suggested warm colors which were beautiful.

Walt was prompt at initial appt. He Gave complete details of the scope of the work; what paint he would use; where and why; told us how he would perform the task; where he would start and approx. when he would complete the job. Walt was very tidy and took extra care in preventing paint spills; any damage to plants; or exterior fixtures on the home. We will be considering him to paint the interior of our home in the near future. Would recommend him with confidence. GOOD JOB!!

Walt responded to my initial contact promptly, and we scheduled a date for an estimate. He arrived on time for the estimate, and after speaking with him, I had a good feeling about him and his level of workmanship. He sent me a detailed estimates via email. I had tried to get two other estimates, but one painter was booked for several months out. The other did offer an estimate slightly lower than Walt's, but since Walt seemed to be more experienced, I went with him. After I made my decision, we booked a start date about 1 1/2 weeks out. He arrived on time and started working right away. We discussed that the doors would be painted with semi-gloss to protect them more from the sun (semi-gloss also written in his estimate). One door in particular had really taken a beating from the sun, and the original paint was very discolored.) But after Walt painted the doors, I noticed that they were not semi-gloss. I mentioned it, and he said that it was a low sheen paint, and said it would be fine. I thought he meant a low sheen version of semi-gloss, (which was new/odd to me), but though I was a little disappointed, I was ok with it. Walt originally estimated the job would take 3-4 days, but he finished in two. His work looks very good. He also was sure to fill little gaps in the shutters, and so on, so the finished job looks great. He also did a great job with the stucco patches. I later learned that the "low sheen" paint is a sheen that is between "flat" and "eggshell", so it is actually 3 steps lower in sheen than semi-gloss. I was not very happy about this. I hope that the door will hold up as long as it would with semi-gloss, but I guess we'll never know. I'm not sure why he didn't use semi-gloss. Maybe because it would have meant buying an additional gallon of paint. He did mention that the paint was expensive. Anyway, overall, I am pleased with Walt and his work. He is responsive, prompt, and does good work. I would recommend him.

Walt did a great job on the painting and staining work; did lots of prep work beyond just power washing so it will last a long time. Sealed /caulked around everything so it is sealed tight everywhere as well. He applied special paint on some of the exterior sections where it gets more sun to enable the paint to last longer. He was very thorough on the number of coats of paint and even did extra coats on some sections to make sure there was good coverage in all areas. I would definitely recommend Walt for quality results. He understands the importance of the prep work in his bid and the work shows it.

I've used Walt before and he is an outstanding painter. He's professional, honest, and knows his trade. No surprises. He gave me a good solid quote but I did decide to go with another lower bid. I would not hesitate at all to contact Walt again for any painting jobs as I know it will turn out right and you won't spend a fortune doing it.

From the initial call, to the timely estimate, to the final product, Walt was spot on. I am reviewing his work almost 1.5 years after the fact because I simply forgot to and felt the need to add this now. I strongly recommend him. In fact, I will likely be hiring him to paint my home's exterior this summer.

I was so happy with how the kitchen looked that I asked him to also do the bar cabinets between my family room and dining room. Walt arrived every morning about 7:10 and began work. Due to a family situation, I usually had to leave after he arrived but he locked up the house each day and I was always pleased when I came home to see the day's progress. The kitchen was cleaned up every night so I could use it. I am super happy with my new, bright kitchen.

Walt was the ultimate professional. He came out and met with me to see exactly what I wanted painted, listed all of my color choices, and suggested that I do two coats on all walls. My house is brand new and had just the basic off-white paint on the walls. He gave me an estimate of the cost and advised me when he could start. He was punctual every single day and very precise in his prep work and painting techniques. He told me that he should be able to complete my job in 6 days and he did exactly that. He even did a faux wall in my dining room and kitchen area because the leaf application that I had first selected could not really be used on my textured wall. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a professional painter who takes pride in his work.
