Solar Harmonics

I had solar installed this spring, and picked Solar Harmonics based on their years in the business, good reviews, Diamond Certified rating and the very competitive price they quoted me. Everything about the project went smoothly, and Jamie was particularly helpful in getting all of the required permits, applications, etc. through the system. When the city inspector came for the final inspection, it passed with flying colors, and he told me, "You hired the right guys - they did an excellent job!" The system has been up and running for three weeks now, and PG&E has given it their blessing, so I'm all set! Looking forward to a nice, comfortably-air-conditioned summer!

He is patient and prompt in returning my calls and emails if for some reason he doesn't pick up the phone, which is usually the case. Unheard of with most other companies we interviewed. He was very easy to work with and always helped me with my numerous questions. The installation company that installed the panels on our roof took about a week and was also professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I felt like I was in good hands from beginning to end. It took about 4 months to finally get the permit from PG&E after the installation. Jamie continued to manage the whole process and email them during Covid and SIP when PG&E put everything on hold. Very happy with the whole experience!

I looked at going solar for a few years, and when I decided to go solar, I asked a lot of people. Unfortunately, most of my friends and neighbors had recommendations on who not to go with for their solar projects. Almost everyone had some type of horror story. I understand solar is a big purchase, so I wanted to go with a company with a great reputation - and I have not been disappointed with our system from Solar Harmonics. I’ve had my system for close to a year, and it has nearly eliminated our electricity bill. I enjoy checking the solar production of my system and really enjoy not sending almost $300 to PG & E every month. As far as the installation, I have had zero problems, and their crews were fast, efficient, clean, and helpful. I recommend Solar Harmonics to anyone even considering solar power for their home and am happy to give them a five-star review.

I’ve historically had high electricity consumption due to my affinity for air conditioning. When I bought an electric car, I decided it was time to seriously investigate solar power. I received competitive quotes from three highly rated companies. I had positive experiences with each but in the end, Jamie Duran of Solar Harmonics was the best solution for me. No regrets whatsoever. My roof has complex angles and surfaces, which face east, west, north and south. This is further complicated with shade cast by several large oaks that surround my house. I am amazing with the tools available to solar companies for analyzing the solar productivity potential of each of these roof surfaces. The constraints of my roof confined any roof-mounted system to a hodge-podge of paneled surfaces, which from an aesthetic point, was unappealing. As an alternate, I asked about using a ground-mounted system. I have a steep-sloped, unshaded, southeast facing area on my property that seemed like an ideal candidate for this. The first company declined to bid and the second increased the quote by 50%. It was clear that neither had much experience with ground mounted systems. Jamie Duran of Solar Harmonics said, “No problem, it’ll be the same price as the roof-top proposal.” Jamie shared their experience installing other ground-mount systems on steep hillsides and clearly answers all my questions. I was trading off a complex roof-top installation for a hillside ground-mount that had reasonably good access and proximity to the electrical hookup. Their experience made choosing Solar Harmonics easy, not to mention the excellent value they offered. Jamie informed me that the City of Pleasanton had an eight-week backlog on permitting, so I understood upfront that patience was part of the process. Jamie proactively kept me well informed through the several iterations back-and-forth with the city. He was very prompt in responding to any questions I had – even on weekends. I couldn’t have asked for better communication. Once the permit was granted, things moved fast. The twenty post holes were drilled, the mounting poles cemented in place, and the trench dug for the electrical hookup. In about eight working days the system was up and running. Joel, the foreman was very good at communicating how the project was coming along. At completion, he presented me with a very professional engineering package for all the system components and the documentation about how it’s all connected. This is essential for any electrician who works on system in the future. In reading through the package, I began to appreciate how much expertise and engineering goes into designing these installations. After just another week or two, the final step of getting PG&E’s approval for hookup was completed. Throughout, Jamie Duran handled all the PG&E paperwork and applications and only occasionally had me sign docs via email. It was a painless process. I now have a system consisting of forty panels, optimally pointing southeast, which on a sunny spring day produces almost 95kWh (which I can monitor from my iPhone). My system is likely larger than most residences require but is ideal for me. I can wholeheartedly recommend Jamie Duran and Solar Harmonics. They earn top marks in professionalism, knowledge, communication, and excellent value solutions. I didn’t know much about solar when I started but Jamie quickly provided knowledgeable answers to all my questions. It’s clear that they’ve been doing this a long time. I am so happy with my decision to go with Solar Harmonics.

He guided us through our entire solar installation. We discovered Solar Harmonics at a local Harvest Festival and what a find. We never wanted solar panels on our house, and could never find a good location for free standing panels. Jamie was the only person who found a solution which would work for us. At the first meeting with Jamie he had a plan for where to put the solar panels, how many we would need, financing information, tax credit information and introduced us to a new PG&E program that would work for us. Jamie and his guys did everything - permits; wi-fi set-up, etc. They showed up immediately when we had a delivery problem and made sure the solar panels were stored correctly prior to installation. We've had our solar for six months now and we are thrilled with the performance of the installation. During the last six months we have occasionally had questions and Jamie always responds and does everything he can to help. Jamie, and his crew at Solar Harmonics, are knowledgeable, professional and well worth your time.

Solar harmonics, no question the go to company for your solar needs. Sales, price, planning, design, and installation all excellent. 6k system up and running for 8 months - love watching the meter running backwards. When we decided to get Solar we had a quote from Solar City which was overpriced and the salesman was scripted.. He did not answer our questions, he only tried to persuade us to lease the solar from them. We saw an ad from Solar Harmonics and met with Fred. From that point on our experience was awesome. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable very easy to work with. They handled everything from the permits to dealing with PG&E. The turnaround was painless and the install was quick and painless. The installer even took the time to walk me through the entire system and deal with the city inspector. I would highly recommend Solar Harmonics for your solar needs.

It's been nearly a year since we have installed our solar panels and we couldn't be happier. I know this month we could expected a $300+ PG & E bill without the solar, but instead, it's $10. Solar Harmonics was thorough, professional, on time and on budget. You won't go wrong going solar with solar harmonics! We went solar around 6 months ago with Solar Harmonics and we love it! They did a great job, did what we wanted them to and didn't try to oversell us. They look at your house, your electricity usage and work from there. They are on time and on budget. We had Jamie Duran and he was great -- also checked in with us to make sure things were running smoothly. It's also fun to get that $10 PG&E bill!

Absolutely delighted with the solar system installed by Solar Harmonics, it could not have been easier, they took care of everything for us. After lots of research we decided to buy our solar system not lease it. It's a much better deal. Here are a couple of the things I really like: being able to monitor the output of the whole system even down to the level of the individual panels on my PC or iphone and of course having a zero electric bill from PG&E. Solar Harmonics did a great job and the cost was less than the others. Highly recommended.

Solar Harmonics did an excellent job putting panels on the roof of Clars Auction Gallery in Oakland. They gave us the best quote. After PG&E suggested we first switch to led lighting, which reduced our power needs by 40%, they didn't complain when we reduced the scope by 40%. The installation was quick. The salesman, Griff Adams, did good follow up through out the project,. They can monitor remotely in case some panels aren't working. I'd highly recommend them.

It's hard to find a company that does solar repair. Solar Harmonics did a great job replacing our 10 year old solar inverter. The work was done in a timely manner and communication with Jamie could not have been better. He was extremely response through out the entire process. They even discounted the final bill for work they ended up not needing to do.
