My new vanity is beautiful and very high quality. It fits perfectly into the space. The workmen were efficient and on time with the installation. Precision Cabinets replaced one of the drawer slides without a problem after the installation. I had no problems with Precision Cabinets and would hire them again. I love my new vanity!

Showing up in their beautiful showroom to see what they have to offer we were surprised at the array of colors and patterns they had to choose from. We felt no pressure at all and were allowed to take our time looking, discussing different options before making a decision. We in fact returned a few times just to make sure we would be happy with our decision. After all, they were pricy but if you want quality work it's worth every penny. These guys always showed up when they said they would. Measurements were taken with utmost care to assure a perfect fit. Everyone was very professional and it was all business through the entire job. Our cabinets and vanities have been in for a number of years and still there hasn't been a day that I haven't looked at them and enjoyed the quality workmanship Precision Cabinets has done for us. I am very particular with detail and craftsmanship and these guys are on top of the list and I would recommend them very highly.

Precision required a 50% ($7,540) down payment in 8/2009 to begin specifications of cabinets. (This is against state law!) Eventually, they raised the price to $18,336 as details were changed. We had a competing bid for $17,000 but we did not think we could get our down payment back. In the design process, we were clear that we did not want pressed wood, and have emails to that effect. On 11/5/2009 we agreed to the revised price. Foolishly, we signed their boilerplate contract, which had almost no descriptive information. On 12/23/2009 they sent an invoice and wanted to be paid in full prior to delivery and installation. We refused, but agreed to make a substantial progress payment at delivery time subject to acceptable cabinets. The cabinets arrived, and most of the cabinet sides were pressed wood, as well as the sides of the refrigerator cabinet, and all of the shelves in the glass display cabinets. The varnish finish seemed to be thin. We refused to accept the cabinets. The following week we went to their warehouse in Brentwood (an 80 mile reound trip) and looked at the cabinets in detail. They tried to convince us that pressed wood was a better material. We discovered an additional problem at that time - the drawers were poorly constructed with butt-glued corners, had thin bottoms, no bottom reinforcements on the large pot drawers and light duty slides on the same drawers. We had been given an option to have dovetailed corners, but the sales person assured us that their standard construction was excellent and we should not spend the extra amount. We have since found a Yelp posting that reported the same problem. We were expecting quality similar to our current cabinets which tongue-and-grove corners and blocked bottoms. We sent them a letter requesting either that they make the cabinets to our expectations or refund our money They then sent us a bill for $5,800 to "upgrade" the cabinets, and threatened a lawsuit. Their atttude seems to be that they could deliver cardboard, and we would still have to pay. As a result, we have lost a rate lock with Fremont Bank, and will have to restart the refinance process - at a higher rate - the immediate loss is $795 on this for the loan application and rate lock. Also, we will incur a renewal fees on our building permit. And they cost us attorney fees - so far $1,120. And there will likely be more costs if they sue. And we have been without a kitchen for 5 months, and they have had our $7,500 for 6 months. We have filed a complaint with the California State Contractors license board. They take you from the ground up. They took my general design and they added excellent detail and ideas. They came back free of charge to fix our cabinets. They have followed up and called us to see how it is still going.

THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL WITH ALL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DESIGNING OUR KITCHEN CABINETS. WE WERE EVEN ABLE TO TOUR THEIR WORK ENVIRONMENT TO SEE THE COMPLETE PROCESS OF BUILDING THE CABINETS. THEY ALSO MET THEIR COMPLETION DATE.
