We have never seen such quality work. Our retaining wall holds up a steep hillside. Two prior retaining walls had failed. I know the retaining wall that LEBEC designed and constructed will never fail. LEBEC designed and built a special keyway retaining wall (like a keel on a boat). The wall was reinforced with 5/8 inch thick rebar that was completely tied together and that also had "J bars". They also used a special wicking type material on the back side of the wall to carry water away from the wall. They also used perforated pipe wrapped in filter fabric and 3/8 crushed drain rock behind the wall. I have never seen such excellent construction, even on very large construction projects. Armando was the supervisor, and he was working on the project the entire time. Armando has 30 years of experience and it showed. Everything was done in a smart and efficient way. Armando and his crew had to drive a very long way in Bay Area traffic to get to our home but they still arrived early and worked hard all day long. Armando is bilingual so it was very easy to communicate with him. Armando and his crew became our friends and we were happy to see them come each day. They would always leave our home and yard neat and clean when they left each day. We were so happy with their work that we have signed a second contract with LEBEC for a second retaining wall.

Not well, the guy was not listening to what we wanted and kept trying to propose solutions that were far too elaborate. He also kept referring to plants he was proposing to use by their botanical names rather than the common name, as neither my wife nor I are professional gardeners we had no idea what he was talking about most of the time, which was very frustrating. He seemed to be more concerned with how our yard would affect the reputation of his company in the area than what we, the customer, actually wanted, which was something simple and easy to maintain.

It went very well. Excellent customer service. When part of the new lawn did not take, they replaced it. A couple of the plants did not take and they are going to replace them. The crew were very professional. They were working in very hot weather we were experiencing at that time. When the job was completed we were very happy. The front yard looks so different with the dry bed creek going through the yard. We have had many compliments about our front yard. People were even taking pictures of the front yard because they too loved the design.

I was impressed with the company originally, they came and did an estimate for a full re-do of mulch on our yard and the repair of a leak. The price was a little steep compared to other quotes, but they were professional so we decided to try them for just the leak and the tree trim and go from there on the larger project.For some reason after they got our payment method they sent a letter stating they were booked 4-6 weeks out, and that they would contact us when they had a date of service. It took them 8 weeks,and I had to call them to see what was up. They gave me a service date, which they later then had to reschedule. The thing is though, when they did show, they did an excellent job! So I'm a bit torn. On one had them waiting so long to complete the work wasn't fun, their work was nearly impeccable.If I need something large done I may contact them again in the future, but only if I'm prepared to wait with no contact.

They went fine. The gentleman showed up for an appointment. They went ever what need to be done. I think, they set me for $150 and gave me the 5% discount.

I have contracted them to do my work. They are going to be doing it in October. They got back instantly right after I put in for it. They contacted me right away. They got me a quote right away. But they are extremely busy. He told me that it would be twelve weeks out to do the work, which is fine. He came out right away and gave me a preliminary quote. Then they gave me a finalized quote and drawings. The quote was fair and reasonable. I am very pleased with them so far. They were very professional and very good.

They responded quickly, cut out the shrubs, and cleaned up the area for a very reasonable cost.

They were on time, they were right on budget. They did their job.

I already had a landscape design, but when Ed arrived he suggested some practical and aesthetic changes. Boulders and mounds were added strategically to create a more pleasing design and plants were moved to gain maximum effect. Ed's crew began on a Wednesday and finished the job within two weeks (few rain days). First they had to demo the existing plants and back yard lawn. They also removed a large wooden arbor and placed it in a better place in the yard. They prepared the soil and planted fruit trees, shrubs, flowers and lawn. Ed also suggested using a black (or tan) pebble as ground cover - looks fantastic! What sold us on the quality of his work was the way the workers planted the three Redwood trees. The trees have invasive roots, but Ed and crew, after digging a large hole, made a cylinder that would prevent the roots from traveling horizontally. Instead the roots will be encouraged to grow downward. This step took time and a lot of hard work to accomplish, but I feel confident that my neighbors will not be bothered by the roots. Outdoor lights now showcase this beautiful landscape. When the work was finished, Ed walked around the yard with us to make sure we were pleased. We are now using his maintenance crew to keep it all looking fabulous on a weekly basis.
