I responded to an ad that was mailed to my house that promised a free furnace if I bought a premium air conditioner. Although it looked like a scam, I checked the references on Angie's List which had positive ratings for the company. It turned out the offer was pretty expensive, but they had another offer that was within my price range and they could install the next day. The salesman was very professional and they had a pretty impressive resume of services. After negotiation, I was able to replace my old system of 4 ton compressor and 80,000 BTU furnace installed for $5,000 (which is competitive). The installers showed up as promised and they completed the job in less than 8 hours.

They are excellent. They do great work and they are very responsive. They are very customer service oriented. They always do a good job and I would highly recommend them.

We called when our heater didn't start up. The repairmen was there within the hour. He inspected and then explained very clearly what would need to be done to replace the old heater. He showed us their notebook of photos, certificates, etc. which helped us learn about their company and service history. He offered to set up the work for the following day. They were on time, cleaned everything well, and were very efficient in use of their time(no cell phones, breaks, etc.). After they left you could not tell they had been there. Except that we have a new, very efficient system.

I liked the technician, they were knowledgeable. I liked all the service guys but didn't care for the sales. I believe the pricing was reasonable and they did quality work.

We called Service Champions to have our A/C serviced. The operator was very courteous and we received a follow-up call to confirm our appointment. On the day of our appointment, we arrived at our new place to find Frank, the technician, waiting for us. He was extremely courteous and even put on booties to protect our carpet. He first explained to us that he would need to verify that the A/C was working. He probed the inlet and outlet temperature and found that our unit was pushing out a 10-degree difference in temperature, which according to him, was under the 20-degree industry standard. Frank replaced our air filter with a properly-sized filter and checked the A/C coil in the attic. He patiently answered all our questions about the unit's size and capacity while helpfully pointing out key warning signs which we should be looking out for, among them condensation rings around the A/C drain, signs that the A/C unit was moved before, and the type of the mounting hardware. After checking the in-attic components of the A/C unit, we walked him out to the external compressor unit. Frank took the unit apart, washed out the debris collected at the bottom, acid-washed the cooling fins, and oiled the fan. Again, he patiently explained what the different components of the compressor unit do and what signs we ought to watch out for: hissing, corrosion, and creaking (among others). He then checked and verified the electrical components and the refrigerant levels, still answering our questions and patiently explaining what the different electrical connections to the A/C unit did. After the external maintenance, he came in to check the temperature. The combined service increased the efficiency of the A/C unit, which was now pushing out air 18 degrees cooler than the incoming air (an 8-degree improvement): Frank explained that it was reasonable to expect the 2-degree difference out of older equipment like ours. Frank offered us a two-tiered service plan (silver and gold); we enrolled in the silver service plan after running the numbers. We also asked him about how much setting up a two-zone A/C system would cost; Frank explained that it wouldn't be efficient to dual-zone our place and instead suggested installing a large ceiling fan in the stairwell to mix the air. We appreciated his candor. He also suggested the best value lines of A/C units that we might be interested in when we have to (eventually) replace our unit. We will take his recommendations very seriously. Frank left us satisfied with our experience and confident in Service Champions' employees. We would certainly call Service Champions again for A/C unit maintenance.

Technician arrived at the latter end of the appointment interval, but still within it. He explained the process clearly and showed me problems he identified and fixed. He was very considerate to avoid dirtying the house. He actually spent almost double the amount of time he'd predicted, doing a thorough job in preparing a recommendation for future work needed, but didn't charge extra. He was knowledgeable both about the particular equipment in our home and the company's business policies, etc. He was also very personable, friendly and respectful throughout.

It was awesome experience. They were here right on time and did not waste any time, they finished their job quickly. The clean up was great and they did a few little things that would make things work better and last longer for me that were outside the scope of what they were doing without charging me anything extra and made me aware of the parts that did not need replacing, like our air compressor which allowed us to save some money.

Excellent service, very knowledgeable estimator/salesman (Sean) and very hard working careful excellent communicators who did the installation and made sure it was done exactly as we wanted it. Arrived on time, got full job done in 1 day, exactly at agreed price. Excellent clean-up.

I was so pleased with the quality of workmanship, and the very complete cleanup when they were finished. Both men were very helpful and answered all my questions.

Service Champions were very professional and thorough from beginning to end. Ed Smith, the salesman, arrived on time and quickly determined the work we would need. The original estimate was high compared to our other estimate. They did included several discounts, some from the manufacturer (Lennox) and some from Service Champions themselves. When I questioned the price, comparing it to the lower quote already received, Ed offered Service Champions (secret?) Price Match + $50 offer effectively meeting the other quote plus another $50 off. This lowered the total price by almost $1800. Sign me up! SC quickly mobilized within two days, arriving on time and completing the work in a 6 hour time frame as promised. The only hang-up we experienced dealt with the condensate drain. Our home was built "AC ready" with a condensate line in the mechanical closet. This line, however, could not be tested for connection with the drain/sewer system and SC assumed it was active. It wasn't. After two days of use, the AC shut off and I discovered the condensate drain line was backed up to the unit. Fortunately, SC installed an emergency shutoff switch in the drain line that automatically shuts down the AC unit with any condensate backup thus protecting the AC unit and our floors. I reported this problem, and on the same day an area manager came to check out the problem. They then scheduled a second trip by an installer crew to install a new condensate drain pump and drain line. This crew did not show up as planned, and we found out our appointment had been lost in the system. After a 1 hour delay, the crew did show up and complete the installation. All seems well now. The 4 ton unit is very quiet and efficient.

We signed up for their maintenance contract a few years ago ($14.95/mo), which includes bi-annual tune-ups. As previously reported, they try to sell something each time. If you call another contractor for a competitive quote, you'll find out how expensive they are, even with the "Gold" plan discount. The last straw with these guys was when they tried to convince us that our 10 year old furnace had to be replaced because we didn't do all the additional work they tried to sell us. They even brought in a supervisor to convince us how dangerous it was to keep using it. Of course, we decided to get another opinion. I called a very reputable contractor (from Angie's List) that did a thorough inspection and said there was NOTHING wrong with the unit. He cleaned out a small orifice that the SC techs missed on their tune-up. He didn't even charge us. Needless to say, we cancelled our contract with Service Champions. When we called to cancel they did everything they could to talk us out of it - even offered to continue it for FREE! That goes to show what the contract is really worth - and how they make their money on the phoney/unneeded repairs. Just my opinion, of course.

Work was done very professionally. We recently purchased this home. I expected poorer performance and less work for a $79 special. I was very satisfied with the job. Dan, the technician, made an instant friend of my wife by putting on booties to cover his work shoes every time he came in the house. Company offers two maintenance contracts which cover two (heating and air conditioning) preventive maintenance visits per year, priority status on service calls, and discounts on parts and labor. Dan explained each but there was no sales pressure whatsoever. If you have a fairly new system and no one is home during the day, the contract may not be worthwhile. If you have an older system and the home is usually occupied, the contracts probably are worthwhile. For those in between, it's your money and your judgment call.

The people were very reasonably priced. They also followed up two weeks later to make sure the unit was working well. The job allowed for 3 days finishing and that s how long it took them. There were 2 people doing the work and they did explain everything to us.

All the representatives were careful and diligent in their tasks. The price was excellent. And the installation, although done during a heatwave, was done quickly.

Combined heating & AC units are difficult to find with the efficiency and features that I wanted, but they were able to accommodate my request for a high-efficiency unit. They also convinced me not to spend extra money on dual-zone conditioning, because they were sure the variable speed fan I wanted would solve my problems with large temperature differentials between floors (and it did). The only delay was the crane showing up an hour late, which caused no inconvenience. The installer was not satisfied with how the attic access hatch turned out, so he returned the next day to improve it. When the roofing inspectors from my condo association turned up some parts of the installation not to their standards, Service Champions returned at my convenience (and no extra cost), made the changes, and provided me photos to prove the work had been done as the inspectors required.

On time, professional, hard workers, clean. My wife and I could not have been more happy with the job. The air comes out without any noise. We used to shut it off at night and now it is so quiet and comfortable, we just leave it set. I checked a lot of other companies and no one had the same guarantees and type of employees that Service CVhapions has. I would recommend them to anyone.

I called and left a message. They called me back with an appointment that afternoon. The serviceman arrived a little later than expected but not so much later that it was a problem. He was very friendly and positive about the intended repair, found the problem immediately and had it fixed within a few minutes. He offered us an annual check-up service which sounded good to us and we signed ourselves up.

The work done was very good. The only problem I had was that sometime between when I signed the Work Order on 6/1/06 and the date of the scheduled work on 6/20/06, someone failed to actually schedule the work. When no one showed up by 9:00am on the 20th (the WO stated that I was to be the first call on the 20th), I called the company and was told that the work was not on their schedule, even though they did find a copy of the WO. When Mark arrived around 1:00pm, he got right to work and completed around 5:00pm.

It was pretty expensive and the inspection fee was not applied toward the cost of the repair.

ITS REALLY GOOD. THEY WERE SMOOTH AND PROFESSIONAL. I CALLED THEM AND THEY GAVE A GOOD RESPONSE TIME. THEY ALSO GAVE ME TELEPHONE NUMBERS. THE COORDINATION AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.

I WAS SO UPSET WITH THEM LAST WEEK BECAUSE THEY DID NOT CALL AND WERE NOT PUNCTUAL ON THIS LAST VISIT. I'VE USED THEM BEFORE, AND OVERALL I THINK THAT THEY ARE A RARE FIND. THEY ARE NOT SALES PEOPLE. THEY WANT TO WORK WITH YOU FOR THE LONG TERM. THEY TRY TO HELP YOU.

I WAS SATISFIED WITH THEM. AS I SAID WE SIGNED AN AGREEMENT THAT THEY WOULD COME OUT SO MANY TIMES A YEAR. THEY REMIND US WHEN THEY SCHEDULE A RETURN VISIT. OUR HOUSE IS IN PRETTY GOOD REPAIR SO WE DON'T HAVE A NEED FOR PEOPLE TO COME OUT.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY DID. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE WAS OKAY. THEY RETURNED PHONE CALLS. THEY CALLED TODAY AND ARE COMING TOMORROW. WE ARE VERY HAPPY.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE HONEST AND PROFESSIONAL AND THAT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE REALLY CAREFUL ABOUT NOT GETTING DIRTY SHOES ON YOUR CARPET. THEY PUT LITTLE THINGS ON THEIR SHOES AND THEY DIDNT TRY TO TELL ME THINGS WERE WRONG THAT WERENT.

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL. THEY COME IN AND THEY SEEM TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THEY ARE DOING, AND I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STUFF. IF WE NEED A NEW FILTER THEY WILL SHOW ME THE OLD ONE, AND TELL ME HOW TO REPLACE IT NEXT TIME.
