I called Jack's company at 8 a.m. on 1/25/16. This was the first time I contacted them. A pleasant and helpful woman (Christine?) immediately answered the phone. I described my problem and asked if an electrician could come over today. She said 1/28 was available, but would check with Jack to see if he could arrange someone sooner. Jack himself called an hour later and did some troubleshooting over the phone. When that didn't fix things, he volunteered to come over in a few hours, which he did. He was very professional, competent and personable. He found the problem and corrected it in less than two hours for a surprisingly low cost. Some of his work was in the attic, which was hot and cramped. Getting this kind of prompt and competent service - and being a first-time customer at that - was nothing short of amazing. He also gave me some "pointers" on ways I could do my future wiring work a bit better. I recommend him very highly.

Life is great after the fix. The lights stays on steadily and they do not flicker anymore. The appointment was not easy to scheduled in early December, but I do not think it is their fault. Jack showed up right on time in the morning and explained the process clearly and courteously. After hearing my description of problems at my small dinning room, he started the trouble shooting process. I was kept informed throughout the whole process and provided reasonable options. I did not opt for the fancy light switch, which I had, to be replaced at later day. He found a basic one in his truck and virtually gave it to me for free. It has almost been 3 weeks and the switch still works perfectly so far. Thanks to be the member of Angie's List, I received 20% discount from their services, also.

Wonderful professional service. Jack patiently answered all my questions. Ceiling height not a problem 15 feet. I would need to get a longer down rod prior to installation. No additional charge on the tall ceiling. Josh was our installer. He arrived on time, made friends with our Two protective German Shepherd dog's then got right to work. Took down the old light fixture, put together the new fan. We needed thinner wire than what the Fan salesman sold me. Josh didn't mind at all on getting what was needed. He was quick to come back and finish up. When Josh finished installing the fan, my husband had a "Quick" question about our spa. Josh was now off work as we were his last appointment. He stayed an additional 1 1/2 hr to find and work on the problem. He fixed what he could, made sure all was safe.. No charge for the additional 1 1/2 hr. Came back the next day with the materials. Fixed the problem. Rechecked everything made sure all was working correctly. Charge was $117.00 Jennifer in the office is also a real pleasure. She gets it done, is very pleasant and call's you back if need be. They definitely have any future business we may need.

Our congratulations to Angie's List and our thankful appreciation to Jack Vardiman Electrical Contractor and all of their fine employees. After searching Angie's List for days, we finally decided to take the $99 Ceiling Fan Installation deal offered by Jack Vardiman Electrical Contractor (and we're so glad we did). We bought the deal on Tues., 09-01-'15. We were confirmed by Angie's List also on 09-01-'15. We received an e-mail from Customer Service person Jennifer at Vardiman Electrical Contractor, also on 09-01-'15, but were not home at the time to receive it. We called Jennifer the next morning (09-02-'15), discussed what we needed done and reviewed her schedule. Jennifer offered an appointment for 09-03-'15, between 10am & 12pm, which worked out perfectly for us. I was advised at the beginning by Jennifer that there would be an extra, minimal charge for the "ceiling fan box brace" and the installation of the two light switches. Jim, the electrician from Vardiman Electrical Contractor arrived at our home at 9:45am, on 09-03-'15, introduced & identified himself, was invited in and shown directly to the room the ceiling fan was to be installed in. When Jim first arrived, we went over what was to be done, and he also advised of the "minimal extra charges". He began working straight away. Jim is a very friendly, knowledgeable and very professional individual. Jim explained each step of what he was doing as he went along. I asked if it bugged him that I was standing there watching and he said "absolutely not" ! Jim took the existing ceiling light down, placed a special ceiling fan box brace, assembled the entire ceiling fan and light assembly and then installed the entire assembly on the ceiling fixture. Jim checked the entire operation of the ceiling fan and light assembly, plus that the remote control was functioning properly. Jim also installed two light switches for us. Jim had covered everything before starting work and cleaned up everything when he was done. The job was OK'd by us, COMPLETED TO OUR FULL SATISFACTION and the extra charges came to only $35. This company is very upfront, honest and very professional in the work they do. We are extremely happy with the work that was done and how it was done. We will use this company in the future (and hopefully Jim will come out) for any and all of our electrical needs. We will highly recommend this company to all our friends, relatives and acquaintances. This is really an outstanding organization.

Great! Jim was on time and took a look at the lights in the kitchen and advised regarding full replacement. He took down the ceiling fan and put up the new one. He was professional and completed the task in timely fashion.

Jim did a terrific job! He is a genuinely nice guy, and very professional and knowledgable. He answered all my questions thoroughly and in terms I could understand. He was punctual, courteous and careful. He hooked-up the new oven wiring, tested the settings and the power output. He also gave me great tips on the old push-button breaker panel. When he was done, he made sure I was happy with everything. The price for the service was well under what I had expected, considering his extra care and time spent helping me with questions. I wanted to give him a nice tip on top of the price, but to my embarrassment I realized I didn't have any cash on hand. He just laughed kindly and said not to even worry about it. Such a nice guy. I highly recommend Jim and this service.

The work went well without any issue. They were quick and professional. When the light that was brought was yellowish, they accommodated us in replacing is to LED comparable to daylight brightness. My wife and I are happy with the outcome.

After a new patio cover had been installed, we needed the poor and inappropriate wiring and conduits that had existed on the property when we bought it removed and replaced. This wiring served low voltage landscape lighting, a fountain, and an additional set of wires for exterior string lights. Jack came when he said he would to give us an estimate. Jim came out the following week, was punctual, worked at the job all morning, and put together wiring, conduit, boxes, outlets with closed covers. It looks good and it all works well--with one exception: one LED low volt fixture that was a defective part and has been promised ASAP. Jim even took a few extra minutes to look at an interior ceiling light in the kitchen that I asked him to estimate for a future job, but he analyzed and fixed the problem within minutes. Everyone I spoke on the phone or encountered in person was very pleasant and very helpful.

I called to check on some details and to add having the existing hanging light in the stairwell changed out for a new hanging fixture. I mentioned the wire for the bathroom fixture was probably too long and would have to be shortened and, possibly, the stairwell fixture might have to be lengthened. I wouldn't know the length until they came to the house. I was told they won't cut or add to the existing light wiring and I would have to go to a lamp repair and have them shorten or lengthen the wiring. This means I would have to get on a ladder in the stairwell and measure the distance needed for the lamp to hang at the correct height and do the same thing for the powder room light. I have NEVER HEARD of an electrician who will NOT cut the wiring/add to the wiring to make sure the fixture hangs at the right height. Needless to say, I will NOT be using this company or recommending them to anyone!
