Accuracy Plus Termite & Pest Control

The staff was responsive, communicative and very professional. I will be calling them for any future extermination needs. *Clayton (the technician) was easy to reach, easy to talk to, and very straight forward.

Everything went great. They were fantastic. They were very thorough and very anxious to please us.

We had rats in the attic several years ago. Exterminators and even Vector Control could not figure out how the rats got in. Our house was new, and the vents, etc. were all sealed. So the rats left. Came back in late March. Clayton went through the attic thoroughly and found holes in the plywood base of the roof, which had been there since the construction of the house. Now maybe that is not a bad deal for a flat tile roof, but our roof tiles are mission style, curved. So the rats would get under the top of the tile, through the holes and bing! A nice warm home for them in the attic. Clayton closed the holes, not an easy task, then set the traps. His next visit was to remove a trapped rat, and on the third visit, he cleaned everything out and disinfected. Just before his third visit we told him about the bee hive in the block wall on the edge of our property - on a slope! - and he said no problem. Took care of it. We are in the 30-day guarantee period. No more rats. No more bees. Yay! Clayton is young, prompt, and professional. And because exterminators in the past could not find the roof holes, we are impressed with his thoroughness.

The two jobs seem to be done well; time will tell how effective the treatments & repairs are. In the end A+B resulted in $275 higher than another highly reputable vendor (who was a toss-up choice; who I didn't choose because of price and because of clarity & responsiveness in contract presentation.). Job B took only a little over an hour to complete; small (not large) wood pieces were involved. So, given their experience & expertise, now B just didn't so major that they could not give at least a ball-park-quote in the beginning. At the time their recommendation was: they would repair whatever and as many as they could so it was best to estimate job B (requiring wood replacement) after completion of job A. Next time I will contemplate on such recommendation more. Their responsiveness was mostly though not always A for job A; then went down to B for job B; but by that time I was already locked in and pretty much had to finish the project with them.

On the first visit, they searched for openings to the attic where rats could enter. Then they installed traps both in the attic, in the garage and outside the house around the eaves. They returned a week later to replace the traps with new ones. A week later they removed the traps and closed up the entry holes and overlayed screens. The only negative involved the charges. When the appointment was made, the receptionist stated the price would be the same as last time ($220). However, the serviceman said they charge $35 for each hole they closed which increased the cost by $140. I still felt the overall price was reasonable.

They were very timely and they came out when they said that they would. They offered a guarantee and they explained that if anything happened after the service they would come back out for free. I like that they were able to take care of the problem. They were in line with that was normal for the servicing.

All people I talked to were professional. Larry came to do the inspection and estimate, and was grreat. On the day of the actual work, the technician (Clayton, I think) was supposed to be at my house at 11:00. He called at 11:15, saying he would be there at 12:30. Once he got there, he was very professional, and told me everything he was going to do. He finished the work, and cleaned up very nicely.

The workers at Accuracy were very responsive and communicated well. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. So far I have not seen any evidence that they failed. They were very honest and explained everything to me. I thought that they were very fair. I would recommend them to others. I would use them again.

The person who came out first to do the inspection was really knowledgeable. Then a crew of two members came to do the job, one of them especially was very conscientious of the work and he cleaned up well after the job. It was a good experience.

They did an inspection and found some minor things that were what I had suspected. Accuracy Plus did a fine job and did a good job cleaning up and plugging the drilled holes that they had to do. I would recommend them to others.

AP was fantastic! AP was one of two company's we received bids from. A third company didn't bother to keep their appointment. Patrick from AP showed up on time and was extremely informative, walking us through every stage of the process. He made it easy for us to choose his company to do the job. It also helped that they offered greater service with the most competitive price. The gentlemen that performed the work were professional, efficient and walked me through the process before and after the treatment. I highly recommend them to anyone.

We noticed some termite droppings near our dining room, which was worrisome because we have a 1.5 year old child, and realized that the source of the droppings was one of the horizontal support beams near the ceiling. We called Accuracy Plus and when the inspector, Larry came out, he noticed some termite damage on the front porch fence also. So, we agreed for Accuracy Plus to perform exterior wall treatment as well for preventive measures. When the technicians first came out for the treatment, they only treated the exterior walls and failed to treat the problem area inside the house, which was our priority because of our small child. I asked them to come back ASAP to get the forgotten area treated, but they said it would take another week or so because of their scheduling. Since the interior beam was our priority, I went to the store and bought the termite spray and dealt with the problem myself. It took another two weeks for them to come out again to treat the interior that they initially forgot. Further, they didn't even bring the right type of ladder to do the treatment on the interior, and had to borrow ours! The more upsetting issue is when I called Accuracy Plus to schedule the initial inspection, I told them that I had an Angie's List coupon, and their office manager, who no longer works there apparently, told me to give it to either the inspector or the technician, and they will take care of it. When the inspector came out, he said he wasn't made aware by their office, and that he will have to ask the office to see if they would honor the coupon, which was a different story from the one that I got from their office manager. So, I called the office manager back, and again, she said all I have to do it give the coupon to the technician, and when they go back to their office with the completed work order, the technicians will hand the coupon to her, and that she'll send me a refund check for the coupon amount because they had already charged my credit card on the same day the first work was performed on the exterior walls. I waited two weeks, and I didn't get anything from Accuracy Plus. I made another call to their office, and their new office manager told me that since she was new, she would have to defer me to the inspector, Larry. I spoke to Larry, and Larry said he will have to discuss this with his new office manager and that he would get back to me, all the while continuously mentioning that the previous office manager should not have handled it the way she did telling me to simply give it to the technician and that I would get a check in the mail. I then waited four weeks, and when I still did not get the check from them, I called them back and spoke to both the new office manager and Larry, and they continued to defer the issue to each other. After several minutes of arguing with their customer, mind you, Larry finally said they will send me the check. This is after TWO MONTHS of their initial work.

I was able to schedule an inspection and then the service quite quickly. The inspector Patrick was thorough, professional and nice. The technician Ruben was also competent and courteous.

Overall it was great. They came when they were supposed to. Everyone was extremely professional. I had one person to come to do the estimate. The person who came to do the work was professional, spoke English clearly and made sure I was happy. The whole experience was pleasant. I've had no termites since August when the work was done.

The workman who came out to do the job (scheduled a week out) was fantastic, incredibly thorough, very nice, and extremely detail oriented. One of the best contractor experiences we've had. It took him about six hours to do all the work, I think a little longer than they had scheduled, but we were glad he never seemed to rush himself but instead concentrated on doing the job right. He even refused my tip!

Each person was professional and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions were pleasant, courteous and thorough.

I planned on seeing three companies. After I saw the first company, I was sure I was going to go with them because the guy had been in the business for so long and seemed like a straight shooting individual. Accuracy Plus came out last minute since I wanted it done so quickly. The inspector was great (Patrick). He explained everything I needed to know about the different types of termites I was dealing with. He then explained the options and the benefits and weaknesses of each. I never felt like I was being pressured. He never asked about the competition or what they were or weren't offering. He stated the facts on tenting and how much gas would be needed to do the job properly. He explained that everyone got the gas at the same price and so pricing should be within this range. If it was lower, then a company wasn't using enough gas, if it was considerably more, they were charging too much. After receiving his estimate and one other estimate, I canceled my final bid because I liked Accuracy Plus so much. Their price was better and what he was saying made more sense for my situation. The guys who did the actual work were nothing less than great. Polite, professional and got the job done in less time than estimated. The property was cleaned up after the job was completed. I would highly recommend this company.

The work was preformed timely and within reasonable price. They are a pleasant company with professionals working there. I would gladly use them again.

Their inspector, Patrick, arrived on time and was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. He provided reasonable estimates and explained everything very well. The following week I hired them to do the work. The two men who came to work on the properties were on-time and very customer-service oriented. I was particularly impressed with Daniel, one of the workmen who came to my house. When I mentioned that I still needed to go to the paint store to get the paint, he offered to get it for me. I really appreciated that because I was caring for my infant at the time. He stayed late to finish the job and even patched a couple blemishes on the exterior of my house that were not caused by their work. I was impressed with their attention toward providing quality customer service-- a rare thing these days. It was a job well done.

The technician had a rough day; he was under the house when the earthquake hit. He did not finish the work, and I had to have a second technician come out. The woodwork was nice, but they left a mess and stucco damage. A quick call got both problems fixed!

It was great dealing with a company that actually did something. We have had termite inspections for years and they have never done anything except slap us with an annual inspection bill while termites kept dining on our house over the years. Kevin who gave us the initial estimate and performed the inspection was very pleasant to deal with. The crew even washed our garage floor after the frame was sprayed which was a nice bonus.

They did thorough explanation and I liked how they used non toxic chemicals and they were neat and tidy. They showed up on time and I would hire them again and recommend them.

The salesman was very nice and promised me the world. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I was very disappointed by the workmanship. I hard a large portion of wood that was to be replaced on my home, however initially only part of this section was replaced. After contacting the salesman, the remaining wood was replaced. I really felt that the job should have been done properly the first time and should not have required my follow up. There were other mistakes along the way (they even put a hole in stucco of building!). I definitely would not recommend them to others.

The inspection was far more complete than the one the day before and reported LESS damage / infestation than the first company. I had been told I had to tent, but Benevolent (aka Accuracy Plus) recommended Boracare foam. I didn't even have to leave or remove my dog, cat or plants. The young man who came to do the work exactly on time the following day was respectful, careful and efficient. It cost me half what the other estimate was.

In a positive manner, Tony entered the house and set four traps in the attic, several glue traps in the garage and around the outside and within the water heater. He returned two days later removing a rat in one attic trap and reset it. There was no activity in the garage or around the hot water tank. The traps were left untouched when he returned two days later. The traps in the attic were untouched. He removed a bug caught in the garage. Every thing else remained.
