They were excellent, they were so good.

There was a very rude receptionist when I called. All she told me was that my house was too little. I told her if the price was right that I was going to stucco the whole thing. She didn't want to help me. She was pretty much talking back at me because I didn't know what I was talking about, but I know what stucco is. She then transferred me over to the owner, and he says that they were just too full to come out and give me a quote. They are are six months behind, so they won't be able to help anybody. Someone needs to talk to them and they need to be removed from Angie's List. There is an etiquette, and if they are busy, send it to voicemail and don't pick up the phone.

Clifford Davenport (president of Lemon Grove Stucco) gave my wife and myself a "Lifetime Guarantee (good for as long as we own the home). Now we had a problem with their inferior workmanship and He personally refused to honor his guarantee. Then he lied to the BBB when we filed a complaint. I would not recommend this man or his company to anyone. He has no business ethics whatsoever. If you decide to take a chance you have been warned. I am being forced to take legal action against this man and his unprofessional company. a completely dissatisfied former customer.

when we booked with lemon grove stucco our schedule was wide open. after having a few setbacks with a different contractor we ended up being out of town when the job was happening. this complicated things a lot. lemon grove stucco dealt with the situation like pros. they finished the job the day after i got back and i couldn't have been happier. i was walked around the job site by the foreman and was asked numerous time if i was satisfied. to say the least yes i am very satisfied. from the time cliff came by for a quote to the time they rolled out. i couldn’t have asked for more professional crew. the work that lemon grove stucco did was awesome i would highly recommend using them.

He is terrific. I last used them two years ago.

Workmen were prompt and professional, but they didn't stucco in the style we asked for. They said they would make it "better" than the original. The finished product is so ugly, that we're going to have to hire another stucco firm to re-do it, or get siding to cover it up.

Lemon Grove Stucco did an excellent job. set expectations and deadlines and met them.

They were good. The guy I talked to was like super knowledgeable. He was definitely the most prepared from the others I got a quote from. He was definitely willing to meet our concerns and timeline, but unfortunately, his price was about a third higher than somebody else we have had. His service was definitely med-high. I really liked how friendly he was and knowledgeable. He even prepared list of all of the home he have done over the last 25 years in this area, so he cross-referenced our side street like a 2-mile radius, and he has a list of like 15 or 20 homes that he have done. He gave me a good drive around for me to see what the work look like. He has the address of everywhere that he had done and the year it was done. That made it really easy. The only problem was they were a little too expensive for us. He also was the only one who offers financing which is kind of nice.

I hired Lemon Grove Stucco because they had done an excellent job at my daughter's home a couple of years ago. The price was right and Cliff Davenport, the owner, personally came out to talk to me about the job I expected. He gave me very good advice about color and texture. I would have zero qualms about advising friends and neighbors (which I did do) to use this company. My stucco job was the kind where neighbors came out to my sidewalk and told me how good it looked. And, if you get a chance, ask for James as foreman on the job. Great guy, always available and not only a person who listens to the homeowner but goes out of his way to make sure you are not only satisfied, but thrilled with the job.

Person answering the phone in the office said they do not do small repair jobs and suggested I call a handyman.

The process requires three days of work, First, thr messy part, is the sandblasting. They cleaned up very well. They then returned the next day to install a and quot;brownand quot; coat of stucco. This again was flawless an they cleaned up well. The third and last day was the installation of the finish coat of stucco with texture. This was perfectly done. The finish is very attractive.

Holy smokes!!! These guys are good. I'm finally on a roll in hiring contractors!!!! Thank you Lord! I went through a period of hiring the worse contractors out there. I seriously thought I had a sign on my forehead that said and quot;Screw meand quot;. Lemon Grove Stucco is one of 4 bids I received. Their price was as low as one company and lower than the rest of the companies (way lower). Cliff the owner offered up the estimate to me. He's been around the business for quite a while. Cliff is not a hard sell guy, something I really do appreciate. Anyway, never any negatives from Cliff when I asked for certain tweaks to be done to my house. Here's something... The guy will actually call you back in a timely manner. It makes me crazy when the contractors don't call me back within a resonible time frame. I liked Cliff and I liked his price. Oh, before I forget..... ONE YEAR SAME AS CASH!!!!!!!!!!! That makes things sooo much easier to afford to get the repairs done. So, the guys show up in force the first day, led by James. What a pleasant group of men. I never once felt uncomfortable leaving my home while the guys were working. They are all very nice and very respectful. Here's another thing that Lemon Grove Stucco offers that a lot of the other guys don't----sandblasting. Most companies only offer water blasting. They say that water blasting is as good as sandblasting. I'm not totally sold on that. I think the main reason they don't offer sandblasting is because a permit (license) is required and cost money and is more work to do and way more clean up. The guys taped off all windows, doors etc and then made a tunnel of tarps to work in and to keep sand from blowing in your neighbor's yard and everywhere else. They even taped plastic over my decorative rock. When they were done for the day, all the covered areas were uncovered and the yard cleaned up. **NOTE*** this is sandblasting people. They can't get all of the sand swept up from every nook and cranny. Ever go to the beach or desert and get all the sand out of your vehicle the first time you cleaned it? I doubt it. So if you have your home sandblasted, don't go ragging about the clean up. After the sandblasting the guys had to go around and grind out by hand all the latex based (read rubber sh**) that was used to improperly repair the crackks from the previous moron I hired. The next day was stucco day. They came out in force again. They taped everything off again and got busy.The guys worked hard until after dark. The texture of the stucco was beautiful. Not a typical track home stucco job, that's for sure. When Cliff gave me his estimate, he gave me his home address, and told me to got look at his house. He said that he would make my house look as good as his home. Guess what- my home looks fantastic. I had a lot of patch work done on my house prior to Lemon Grove Stucco starting, ie window removed and filled in, new windows installed and a door installed. When the stucco was applied to the repaired areas the color gets sucked out of the new stucco and you could still see where repairs were done previously, by the splotches in the color. No problem. Cliff was out the next day inspecting his men's work. He did a complete walk around of my home. He noted some small things that he wanted his men to take care of, ie better clean up of some areas and the splotchiness of some of the color. He sent a man out that afternoon to do final clean up. Keep in mind that these guys finished in the dark and couldn't see too well at finish time Next, Cliff arranged to have the guys come out and and quot;fog coatand quot; over the splotchy areas. Well, to my surprise James and Jacob taped off the house for a third time and pretty much fog coated the whole house, making sure that the whole house was an even color. The house is just beautiful. Neighbors are always commenting about what a good job Lemon Grove Stucco did on my house. I tried to write this review with detail, hoping to help others in deciding on which company they should use for stucco work. Lemon Grove Stucco did a stupendous job for me and I have every reason to believe that you too, will get a stucco job on your home that you would be proud of.

We contacted Lemon Grove Stucco because we were impressed with a stucco job that they did on a neighbor's house. We have a Tudor cottage style house built in the 1930's and wanted to ensure that the new stucco would maintain the original character and style of the house. We discussed this with Cliff, the owner of Lemon Grove Stucco on his initial visit to the house. Cliff had very good suggestions on what type and texture of stucco would work best for our house and more importantly what would not work. We were quite happy with what he showed us and felt re-assured that he instinctively knew what would be appropriate for our style of house. Cliff also helped us out with advice and direction on a restoratation project that we were working on. This project involved replacing a sliding glass door, which was not original to the house, with a door and window that matched the original doors and windows. He gave us advice on how to frame out the new door and window openings so that his crew would be able to match the existing stucco bull nose detail surrounding these openings. We were thrilled with how this turned out. The bull nose detail around the openings looks exactly like the original ones. We ran into one major setback when it was discovered that our existing stucco contained lead. This meant that the old stucco could not be sand-blasted off due to new environmental regulations. Cliff proposed using acrylic stucco that, while more expensive than regular stucco, can be applied over the existing stucco without sandblasting. We were very concerned that the texture and appearance of the synthetic stucco would compromise the architectural integrity of the house. Cliff came out on numerous occasions to show us samples of the acrylic product. He applied different types of the acrylic stucco with diffent techniques until we were satisfied with the appearance. In the end we were thrilled with the job done by Lemon Grove Stucco. The job was executed with attention to detail and great skill. The color and texture turned out beautifully. James (the lead foreman) and his crew of workers were excellent craftsmen and very nice guys as well.

See above. I was very pleased with the work performed on the work date but am dissapointed in the sturdiness of some areas of stucco.

Our experience was very good. We were told that we wouldn't need it for about another ten years, but we decided to do it now and not have to worry about it for the rest of our lives. Very honest and the owner even came out to make sure everything was being done properly. Everyone has been courteous and patient more than willing to explain or answer any questions.I will be giving them a good rating on Angie's list and Kudzu as well. I would recommend this company if someone want to stucco their home.

Cliff came out and performed a very thorough estimate of work he recommended. He seemed to make honest comments about problems with my home exterior that restuccoing alone could not solve and offered solutions. The estimate for work on a 1640 SF home and 2 sides of a detached garage seemed a bit high but I trust him. THe synthetic stucco which he said was somewhat longer lasting was 25% more expensive than concrete stucco. He was willing to coordinate schedules with roofer. He made suggestions about how to reduce moisture problem under my house. He gave me addresses of other homes in my area that his company had performed work on and suggested I drive by to select stucco colors. Very likeable and professional. I have not decided if I will hire them yet.

They were excellent and coordinated well with the roofers. They were prompt and the workers were steady workers and not like they were pulled off the street. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. They were very courteous and their price was moderate. I would use them again in future.

Great company. I met with Cliff Davenport, the owner for an inspection. He wrote a bid. The work was completed on time. What I really appreciated was the way Lemon Grove Stucco co-ordinated their work with the roofers, painters and gutter installers. The workmen were professional and pleasant to be around. At each step, I reviewed the work and signed off with a performance review with the foreman prior to the crew leaving for the day. I could not be more please with this company and their work.

This was my first experience with them. I thought they were good and offered a competitive price. However, following the job, I had contacted them as their were some areas which needed to be stuccoed again. They did not follow up nor return any of my telephone calls. I made six telephone calls to them with no such response. I am very disappointed with this. I would be very cautious to hire them again. The only reason why I would consider it is their rock bottom pricing. Also, I would make certain of their follow up plan and completing it to my satisfaction prior to leaving the premises.
