Agent was a friend and recommended however I discovered fast once I found a place I liked that his motivation was to get me to buy, not buy smart. He was polite, professional on many counts and has good taste in properties but not concerned about price sensitivities. For one we were told the listing was only on the market a "few weeks" when I discovered on my own it had been on for over six months originally with HIS firm Prudential Beverly Hills. Plus we were told by seller "all bills paid period" on HOA but I discovered on my own that was not true. In fact he discouraged me on re-addressing these and other major issues that in hindsight after talking to others in real estate I should have. If you are first time buyer or you need to be mindful of your money, I do not recommend this agent or their firm Prudential.
Description of Work: Agent acted as a buyer's agent. Gave a lot of personal service viewing 20+ properties in a short two weeks all over Los Angeles. Identified good properties. These are the pluses. However the negative overall is the agent was not honest about the time in the market and not aggressive about negotiating on the buyer's behalf.

The agents were incompetent and indifferent. Forms were incomplete or late. We were asked to move three weeks early to accommodate the buyer. Then the NIGHT before we were to move--with power, water, etc. schedule to be turned off the next day, we were told they have never informed the buyer that we agreed to move. Everything had to be turned back on with reconnection fees. In addition we had an extra mortgage because we moved our moving date up. Then, two weeks after closing, we received a phone call saying that the buyer's agent hadn't included all of the paper work and that we owed $5,000 to the buyer. Prudential essentially said "Tough luck. Pay up." Even though they had just made $80,000 from the sale of my house, they refused to compromise or offer any compensation for their unprofessional and indifferent conduct. NEVER, NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO BUY OR SELL A HOME. THEY'RE HORRIBLE AND THEY DON'T CARE. There are plenty of qualified, competent agents out there. Use them.
