I selected RHA for my kitchen and powder room remodel. My project was small, but Avi treated me as though it was a multimillion dollar project. His responsiveness, patience, and general customer service was outstanding. His team, foreman Alfonso in particular, is also fantastic. I am very satisfied with the final product. My kitchen and bathroom look great! I highly recommend RHA for contracting services!

We started remodeling our kitchen with them and the experience was amazing right from the start! They take the time to write a detailed proposal and design with a fixed schedule. The crew is respectful clean quiet and professional. This is what you want from a contractor. I will be hiring them in the future to renovate the rest of my old house! Highly recommended! Do not hire Avi! He comes across as a very professional contractor but donâ t be fooled! His subcontractors, Alfonso among them, are completely incompetent and will destroy your home. We paid to have entire upstairs remodeled; 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and all new fans and wood flooring. 15 months later the first bathroom must be demolished and redone, 2nd bathroom has gaping holes in the floor. Paint was splattered on all walls and new fans, lamps were broken and every piece of furniture was covered in paint. They did not cover anything. We paid out of pocket for $25,000in repairs to make our home livable and were never reimbursed. My husband and I are both elderly and today my Dr said this remodel is adversely affecting my health. There is so much dirt and dust everywhere we have had to hire our own housekeepers to stay on top of it. Fans are still falling halfway out of the ceiling. We have filed a complaint with state licensing board, at THIRD recommendation because of the severity of the problems. Plumbing was incorrectly installed and on and on and on.

Avi was super nice but he needed to be around more to oversee his cres work. His foreman, Alfonso, was completely dismissive and did crap work. He was eventually banned from our home. He installed the stove vent even though it had a dent, so I was unable to return it. That was $600 down the drain. The cooktop was installed without the rubber seal under the edge, so I am constantly having to scrape food out from under the cooktop. The oven/microwave was installed but the guts were not. The replacement hood had a protective plastic covering and Alfonso said it was too difficult to remove. He finally removed it but not well. He only removed the top, not underneath, and left a bunch of pieces in the seams. He forgot to run water for the refrigerator and when I asked about it, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. They had to open the outside and dining room walls to run the water line, after the fact. The kitchen faucet literally fell off, and I have had to have a Plummer out three times, at my cost, to fix his shoddy work both under the kitchen sink and the bar sink in the living room. The electrician also did sub-quality work. He had to come out several times because of issues with the outlets around the sink sparking and popping and ceiling lighting that was flickering. They failed to install a dedicated plug for the trash compactor and Avi told me to just run an extension cord. Yeah - that did not fly with the inspector. They also forgot to install the under the counter lighting and had to jury rig it after the fact. It looks cheesy but it is what it is. Alfonso was supposed to come by to get a key before we left for Thanksgiving, but he did not show. We left a key in a lock box and texted Avi the code. The crew could not get it opened and I watch my security cameras, in horror, as one of the crew literally broke into our house through an unlocked window and let the others in through our back french doors. They could have locked the front door when they exited but, instead, they left through the french doors so the house sat unlocked the entire time we were out of town. Avi recommended the company, TAJ, for the quartz and kitchen cabinets. I specifically asked if they did quality work and he said, â of courseâ . They did not. The quality of the cabinets are mediocre at best. The seams in the quarts were put in odd places so it looks super choppy, and the seams are jagged rather than smooth and tight. I had them come out to fix the seams, but they ended up making it look worse. The quartz is also not level from the edge of the sink about 18 inches to one of the seams and you can feel there is a hump where the two pieces meet. When leaning on the quartz it pops.so I know the seam is eventually going to crack or break. During the demo, the crew removed a custom shade from over the sink and ended up losing some of the pieces. The shade had to be reordered and Avi took responsibility by paying for the replacement. When the installer came, he refused to even put his knee on the counter because he could feel that it was unstable, and he was afraid he would crack it. Do not use TAJ! They have not returned any of my follow-up emails. Be sure to pull a permit even when working with a licensed contractor. The work failed inspection 3 times and the inspector found even more issues than we had seen. He was an advocate for us and I really appreciated that extra oversight. The seven-week projected ended up going from October 8th until April 15th with the supply chain issues causing a small part of that delay. What I learned: When you are marveling over the images in a contractors advertisement, you are actually admiring the decorating taste of the homeowner. You are not seeing the quality of work, or lack thereof, close up. I absolutely love everything I selected but do not look closely or you will see all of the flaws in the work.
