Zuta Appliance Repair

I found Zuta through the Angi website/app. I was very nervous about contacting an unknown 3rd-party appliance repair service so I tried using Angi for the first time since they verify license & proof of liability insurance & do a background check. I started chatting with Alex via the Angi app and he was very responsive. Initially I thought our compressor had failed on our 15 year old frig since it had stopped cooling & freezing. That would have required us to buy a new frig because the repair cost would have been so expensive. But Alex suspected that it was the starter relay based on my description of more details of the issues before the frig stopped working. And he was right! He came to my house the next day & replaced the part & boom, it works beautifully! I would highly recommend Alex & Zuta. Alex was professional, respectful, efficient, and friendly and saved me the cost and hassle of replacing the frig at Thanksgiving time!

Great repair and service!

Good job repairing the dishwasher. However, a cable to garbage disposal was knocked loose. Didn’t show up the next day, but fixed it the following day.

Repair person came to evaluate the problem. Very knowledgable and honest. Stated the repair would be more than a new machine.

The office responded immediately to my email asking for information. They sent Otavio out who was polite, professional, and carefully COVID-19 safe. He diagnosed the problems and returned in less than a week to install a new icemaker and water valve. The price was acceptable, and the invoice itemized each item, which I appreciated. So far, so good - we have ice!

Otavio was great—he even wore a mask and gloves to comply with regulations regarding the Covid-19 pandemic

Alex, the service technician was great. he explained and showed me the problem of the blocked frozen lines. told me what needed to be done and quoted a price. Initially I was a little disappointed since my call was directly forwarded to Zuta from Berkeley Appliance Repair without my knowledge. I questioned whether the 5* reviews were theirs or for BAP. They reassured me that they were getting all referrals from BAP in Berkeley and had me check Angie's and Yelp which confirmed Zuta's reputation. they did an excellent job and I will definitely keep their numbers for any other household repairs. It turns out that BAP is a call center only not an actual business

Very good. He quickly identified the problem, ordered the part and returned to replace the part in a timely fashion.

My washer/dryer had too much damage. The repair technician told me that while he could fix it, the final cost would likely be greater than purchasing a new unit. I appreciate his honesty and would rely on his opinion in the future.

My technician was extremely helpful and polite, as well as reassuring. It was an eye opener that the cost of the refrigerator doesn't equate with it breaking down, that the industry in general makes sure that you'll need to repair it within 2- 5 years, in order to maximize the incidence of replacement. Shocking but it made me feel much better about having chosen an inexpensive model. He was very straightforward about the cost of repair, and tried to minimize it overall by contacting his manager. I really appreciated his candor and honesty.

Excellent...beginning with my call, I felt my concern was going to be addressed with great care. I did not have to wait long for an appointment and the technician was able to isolate the problem immediately. I am extremely pleased with Zuta Repair and would definitely recommend them to others.

Alex was calm in the face of our noisy dog. He was friendly and professional.

The service was excellent. Alex was extremely responsive to all my messages over Angie's list while I was trying to finalize my decision. His quote was also the most fair. Alex did the work on a Sunday, and came right on time, did the work professionally and quickly. He also helped with a minor fix up on my dryer.

Was able to discuss the project over email and Alex was able to clearly indicate the work and the part to be used. Alex showed up on time, and then did the work professionally. I am writing this review after a few months, and the installed gasket has worked well without issue.

As you can see, Alex has worked on all my main appliances and has always done a great job. I used a Thermador authorized dealer for my oven years ago and they did not problem solve the issue as well as Alex did. He shows me his cost for parts which proves how honest he is, and is always so prompt at getting back to me within such a reasonable amount of time. He’s worked on all high end appliances for over a decade so he certainly is knowledgeable. It’s a shame these appliances don’t last as long as they should but with someone like Alex to help it makes the process less painful!

It went very well! We have used Alex before and he is top notch! He gets back to me quickly, prompt availability, showed up on time, gets right to work, is very professional, but also has a super cool & pleasant personality, and always does great work!! My fridge had been leaking and food was freezing for a few weeks. I had no time for a repair, but when I finally did I realized I should've called much sooner. Alexander took care of my fridge in less than 30 minutes. He was punctual, respectful and very professional. I would definitely hire Zuta Appliance Repair again. I'm very happy with the service.
