Fredrick was awesome! There was a ton of prep work needed for this job the walls needed to be hand scraped then primed and painted. He was quick and efficient, and the end product was beautiful. He also handed the rental of the lift which is something I was asked to from others, as someone in the middle of starting a business it was little details like this that were so very helpful. His pricing was fantastic, I got 3 other quotes and his was by far the most fair. We will definitely use him for future projects. Thanks Fredrick!!

I contacted Michael and 2 other contractors to paint the exterior of my house. I ended up adding a bathroom to the project subsequent to the exterior quote. Michael returned my call immediately and was able to come out to my house and deliver an estimate in a couple days. He was the cheapest of the contractors by about 25%. We was ready to work the following week. Michael was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. He called every day to give an update and a status report on the project. After the first day of scraping, I noticed that the cleanup was OK, but some was left over. Michael took care of it the next morning and I didn't have any other issues. The painting was done reasonably quickly (there was a rain scare), and it was thorough and looked great. I would use Michael again for any project, and encourage others to add him to your list when bidding a project out.

I give Frederick Jones Paining my highest endorsement! -I received a fair and honest quote from Michael and chose to use his company (it was the middle of 3 quotes I solicited...ALL were higher than I anticipated). -My house had not been properly painted in decades and needed a lot of preparation prior to the actual painting. Michael's primary painter, Pedro, did a phenomenal job preparing my house for the actual paint job. My house is about 1100 sq. feet and Pedro worked steadily for 3 solid weeks power-washing, hand-sanding, caulking and sealing my house. I was not in a hurry to have the paint job done (after ALL these years) so I appreciated the time and care Pedro took with my house. Michael asked if I preferred to have Pedro work alone of if I wanted a larger crew. I really appreciated the work Pedro was doing and chose to simply let him take the time to do the job correctly. -Pedro took great care every day to collect and remove any debris/old paint that was removed from my house. This was important to me as I have a dog that could have ingested old paint etc. -After all the preparation the house was primed and painted. Michael was very helpful with color suggestions. I am 100% pleased with the colors I selected. -I also chose to paint my door. The first attempt was less than stellar so we decided on a different approach which worked beautifully. I enjoy the pop of color on my door every time I come home :) -After all the work was done I took a couple of days to check out the house and make sure I was absolutely pleased with the final product. I had a couple of small changes I wanted to make, discussed them with Michael and then they went ahead and did them. Michael also suggested some final detail work. -I was/am 100% pleased with the work that was completed. It is clear that customer satisfaction is important to Michael. He is easy to communicate and talk to. -several of my neighbors are very impressed by the work that was done and have asked for this company's info.

He came and conducted the estimate on a Thursday and started the prep work/power wash on Sunday.We needed to have everything finished by Thursday at noon to list the house for sale. He brougtht out additonal crew to ensure everything was finished and completed in a professional manner by the deadline. We would efinitely use him again!

All went as promised, at quoted price and time, with excellent results.

We found Michael (Frederick Jones) on Angie?s List and had him paint the exterior of our house about a year ago. We were very happy with the quality of his work and we had looked at several bids and he was the most competitive. This last August we put our house on the market as we were moving out of the area. Our realtor advised us to have the house staged and repaint the inside-which we did. We needed the work done in a timely manner as there were a lot of things we were coordinating with a tight timetable. The painter that was recommended by the realtor gave a bid that we thought was high and also took way too long ? 9 days. Then he said he was too busy for when we needed the work done. In the meantime I contacted Michael again and got a bid from him. He gave me a bid on the spot and was able to start exactly when we needed him and did it in less than 6 days. As before, he did quality work and even did some things that we had not foreseen that were not in the original bid (like painting inside closets) and he didn?t charge us extra. And he was still $500 less than the other bid we had! He had to work with a paint ?color expert? from the realtor who was very demanding and particular. Michael did a great job and was courteous and friendly throughout. I would highly recommend Frederick Jones painting for any interior or exterior work. Thank you Michael! This two day job started on time and finished on time. Workers were polite and efficient. The dark stains on the exterior of our home were cleaned off, and the result looks great.

I got in touch with Mr Jones after searching the list. He gave me an estimate that was right on even thought the house took more paint than he first thought it would. About 3 days after the estimate the crew started and it was done in 4 days after the start. He gave me a written estimate and everything was done to my satisfaction.

My happiness with the work done is greater that my highest rating of the services provided, directly above. Fredrick met with me the same day as my initial call. A firm quote was provided soon after that matched the final cost for the Exterior Painting of my home. Professional preparation was done in their readiness effort associated with a 4 color paint job. Job done to original quotation and aggressive timeline. Very high quality of work completed. Hats off to Fredrick Jones and his team of professionals. Great work

A bid was requested in September, 2011, furnished, and found reasonable and acceptable. Work commenced in mid-September. Wood floors were protected by taping heaving paper from baseboard-to-baseboard before work commenced. Steam radiators were removed from wall brackets to permit wall repair and painting behind the radiators. The owner and crew were polite, cleaned up at the end of each day. Work was carried out without interruptions. The finished job was acceptable and the apartment will be easier to touch up and maintain the the future. Mr. Jones was always friendly and available to discuss details of the work, answer questions, and make suggestions. He was entrusted with an exterior key to the building, which he handled properly.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Mr. Jones. His crew did the best job anyone has ever done painting the front of my house, using quality materials and painstakingly careful techniques. His attention to preparation is immaculate-- they pressure- washed CAREFULLY (really important with old houses and multiple layers of paint!), and then scraped and sanded with a thoroughness that astonished me. Not only does the house look better than it ever has, but I am confident that this job will last. But even if there is some little glitch, I truly do believe that Mr. Jones is a man of his word, and he will return to fix it. I believe this because of his insistence on sticking with his original estimate, even when the job proved more complicated than he had first thought. I also believe it because he did everything he said he would, until i was satisfied. His crew is thoroughly professional, polite and efficient. They cleaned up thoroughly every day. We had to deal with weather delays, as well as the fact that I was getting this done at the busiest season of the year for exterior painters-- the fall. But despite these issues, and having to deal with the installation of replacement windows by a company that damaged the brand new paint job he had just comlpleted, Mr. Jones remained calm, courteous, amazingly good-natured, and always returned calls, letting me know at every step what was going to happen next.I hope to use Mr. Jones' services in the future. I unhesitatingly recommend him to you.

We are so lucky we found Frederick Jones! Frederick was responsive, communicative, punctual and respectful of our space and time. But most importantly, his team's work was impeccable. Our architect-designed 1957 mid-century modern home has been given a new life thanks to Frederick's commitment to quality. He gave us sound advice on technique and products and he took very seriously our unique home's needs. His team's prep work was meticulous and when the few minor hiccups arose, they were very eager to make things right immediately. His strong, long-standing relationship with his team (who speak perfect English, which made things run even more smoothly) showed. While his team was completely trust-worthy, Frederick would visit the site regularly to check in and make sure that every i was dotted and t was crossed. He also worked well with the carpenter/contractor who was prepping the home for painting (fixing dry rot, building new trellis, etc.).

The proprietor, Mr. Jones, was very responsive and happy to work within the timeframe what I had allotted -- an I wasn't exactly flexible with the dates, so I'm grateful that his team was able to do the job. The price was reasonable, and the team, lead by Guillermo, was quick and did good work on the trim of our house. They were pleasant to work with and got the job done. The trim now looks great and I'm very pleased!

I feel I really lucked out finding Frederick Jones to paint the exterior of our house. After two other bids, they came in right in the ;middle which was exactly what I wanted. As a stressed out homeowner juggling multiple home improvement projects to prepare our house for market, Frederick Jones was such a pleasure to work with. He put a "rush" on the job at my request and the finished product is so beautiful I almost don't want to move now. His team was professional and courteous and I could tell he treated them well, which is important to me. Mr. Jone's came out multiple times a day and was always available via phone. I had another contractor paint the interior so two crews could be working simultaneously but really wished I could have had Frederick Jones do the job.

The owner (Frederick "Michael" Jones, an experienced painting contractor) was very straightforward and accommodating, checking on the job several times per day. The painting crew (Guillermo, Oliver, and Wilmer, all from Guatemala in their 20's) was exceptionally diligent, considerate, neat, and equally accommodating. The job began and ended on time. Though I'm no expert, there are many reasons to believe that the quality of work was high. As one example, our protruding nails were fixed in a 6-step process: (1) set the nail; (2) prime the nail and surrounding depression; (3) fill the depression with Bondo; (4) sand the Bondo; (5) prime the Bondo; (6) apply the final coat(s). Our house looks like new; time will tell how long that look lasts.

Great! Took 6 days, 2 men plus Frederick who would be on site 3-4 times a day at least. The painters knew what they were doing, were efficient and quick, didn't downplay problem areas uncovered (e.g. dryrot) so I could decide what to do about them. Left site each day and at end of job clean. Were careful with shrubbery and nearby cars if there was any significant wind. Frederick suggested a few changes in design that were helpful and I changed my plan to incorporate them. I'd be quick to hire these folks back!

F.Jones came to give estimate for the job. Had fairly gaping whole in living room ceiling due to water damage. He recommended someone else for the plastering job, who was equally good, and got the job done quickly. I appreciated that F. Jones advised me that the plastering was beyond his usual work and recommended an expert. F. Jones then came back after plastering was done and did the paint promptly and professionally. He also provided paint samples and gave me choices on quality of paint. I am a pretty busy person and F Jones put up with my lack of responsiveness, at times, quite professionally and politely. Was very pleased with the job.

Very good experience. We we updated daily and any problems that we noted we promptly dealt with.

This Company did a superb job. They were punctual, worked extremely cleanly, did exactly what they said they would do, and the results were all I could hope for. This wood frame house, built in 1912 had not been painted for 11 years, and the old paint job was badly weathered, oxidized and flaking off. Before getting started Michael and I went over the whole house and he explained everything that would need to be done. I told him that I would visit everyday to check the work, (I was staying elsewhere, since the house is currently rented) since I'm extremely particular and also fairly jaded, having been cheated by workmen in the past. When I was unable to be there, he would call once or twice a day to keep me informed. His crew was very polite and careful, and not a plant or flower was ever trashed. Everything was cleaned up as they are very conscientious about that too. Best of all, the end result was spectacular. It looks brand new! I had gotten 2 other bids, one of which was just about the same as his, -$5000 for labor and about $1000 for materials - and another which was about 30% over that. They also did a great job on the deck and fence, which I had never gotten around to sealing before, in 10 years- $1000.00. I felt that I really got my money's worth. Michael aims to please and keeps an eagle eye on his crew.

Michael, who runs the company, was very easy to work with. They did superb work, came as scheduled, and finished early.

He did a terrifice job. Probably was a little expensive, I probably could have gotten the work done for less, but maybe not. He did an excellent and professional job and on time

Michael was contracted to paint our home over a period of 3 days and the job ended up taking almost 6 days. I hired Michael for his extensive painting experience, but he did not actually do the work. Even with the additional work that we added, I do not feel that this should have added more than 1 day. He had primarily 1 painter (who was very good) that did the majority of the work. I think that Michael should have had 2 painters working on the job or have worked himself to meet his commitment. This may not have been a problem except that we had a moving company scheduled to deliver our household items. The work was generally done well with some small attention to detail missing here and there in the house. Michael was patient with us in choosing colors and offered some advice... although being clear to point out that he did not feel color selection/matching was his strength. Overall, his advice was helpful. We had problems with the texture matching of the living room ceiling and they tried a second time to match by extending the area they retextured.... I requested that we retexture the whole ceiling to be able to insure that it would look ok. The drywall company that Michael recommended wanted an additional $600 to correct their work (This was an independent company chosen by Michael). I ended up hiring another company to do the same work for $250 which was done very well. Michael came and repainted the ceiling - charging only for materials. My greatest frustration was at the completion of this work. They left and never cleaned up any of the room and did not replace the dining room light fixture which they had removed. I ended up removing the paper covering the floor, cleaning the room and finishing the work myself. Michael never called to see if I was happy with the final work. I found both the lack of cleanup and follow-up very unprofessional. I also feel that some of the final touch up that should have been done was not because Michael was frustrated with how long the job had taken. We are planning to repaint the kitchen and family room because we are not happy with our color choice... which was shared with Michael. At this point, I will find someone else to do the work because of the lack of follow through at the end of the job. Although I am generally satisfied with the work that was done, I was not pleased with the lack of planning to complete the job on time as committed... that the overall cost was higher than expected (even with the added work) and mostly - the lack of final follow-up. As a note, the original estimate was less than others I had received, but ended up being more than some of the competitive quotes I had received which included painting ALL of the ceilings in the house. I also waited over a week to see if Michael would follow up before posting this review.

He was great, but we didn't end up using him.

I called last minute to have the house painted as I was putting it up for sale. I was going to 'touch-up' the paint myself - but the paint was pealing off in sheets due to poor prep work by the last painters. The painters showed up to paint two days after my call, and it took two weeks to paint due to sandblasting, primer, and rain. I would highly recommend and would/will use them again
