The folks at Berkeley Lighting are wonderful. Their staff are extremely knowledgable about all of their product lines and very helpful and accommodating. Their selection is excellent and mostly high end. We wish they were a bit more affordable, but at least we know we are getting great products that will last. We highly recommend getting your lighting with them.

I have 2 wall lamps, one on each side of the bed that my wife and use for reading. The switches were going out on both lamps. I took them to Berkeley Lighting and the gentleman there looked them over and gave me an estimate of $40.00 each. I did not want the 3 way switches that were in the lamps because I use energy saving lamps. I asked him to install single switches because of the lamps that we use. He did as I requested. In a few days he called and I picked up the lamps, they work just fine. I am happy with the work done and as the switches were the only problem, the lamps are like new. I think the cost of repair was reasonable.

We brought in our kitchen floor plan and described our needs for the different kinds of lights we needed (for the ceiling, above the counter, above the kitchen nook, and accent spots). The rules for kitchen fluorescent lighting had just changed and they already understood them, unlike other lighting stores we visited. All the wattages of the fluorescent and incandescent lights had to add up to meet the rules, and the various styles of fixtures had to be visually compatible. They spent time with us and were very patient as we visited several times, looked at floor models, made changes in our plan, and finally ordered fixtures. They were always knowledgeable about the fixtures and bulbs, and were able to answer our questions about glare, bulbs, fixture quality, etc. The excellent staff has been there for many years.

Excellent selection of indoor and outdoor lighting. Enjoyed the creativity and variety of lights. Was looking for a porch light that was simple and modern, not an easy find in the Craftsman, popular Berkeley area. They had just what I was looking for and lots of Craftsman style lights too.
