Job was done good, professional and in a timely manner

I can't recommend Dawson and her husbands highly enough. I am a single, professional woman who is pretty handy around the house, but there are some jobs that are beyond my skill level, or that I just don't have the time to do. I lucked into finding Hire My Husband online and I could not be happier. Dawson walked through the house with me and let me make a "honey do" list of all the things I wanted repaired/installed. She gave me a budget and we prioritized the order in which I wanted everything done and to make it most cost effective. Everyone who worked on my house was punctual, trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional. Anyone who needs help around the house, large or small jobs, should hire Hire My Husband.

I scheduled a quote with Hire My Husband for interior house painting for a 1300 sq ft condo. The appointment was easy to set up, they showed up on time, and gave me a full quote a few days later. Although I think they would have been really nice to work with, the price was much higher than we expected (3850 for the interior including labor and paint). We ended going with another referral from a friend that gave us a much lower price.

Personable and helpful service person. He was able to resolve the issues and the doors and light are working well. I am pleased with the service and happy to recommend to my friends and family .

My back garage door had pulled away from the frame. They repaired the door, hinges, and frame so that it operates even better than before. Fast, on time, reasonable price.

They were wonderful. We had no complaints about them. It was a really good company. They were actually safe to the point where we gave the painters the key so that they could come and go as they needed. We met the owners and everybody else and they were all wonderful people. I thought that the price was outrageous. They took off cabinets doors and they did a lot of work. My daughter didn’t think that the price was unreasonable. Our experience with them was very positive. They were there when they said they would be there. They did what they said they would do and it was done in a timely manner. They gave good advice on painting style. My daughter did something unique inside the house. So they suggested colors and stuff and it was just beautiful. They were really nice people; nice people that one would have as friends. If we were inclined to invite people over for dinner, we would invite them over for dinner. That was how nice everyone that we worked with at Hire My Husband was. Anything that we thought was not right, they fixed it immediately. They were very professional.

We've wanted a gate there for a long time. He did a beautiful job. We are very happy with it. It only took two days. We'd them again.

Everything went exceptionally well, from the initial appraisal to completion of the project. On the appraisal, they arrived on schedule and followed up promptly with a thorough and easy to follow point by point description of the steps they would take to complete the work. Regarding the work, once again they arrived on schedule each of the 2 consecutive days and completed the project on a timely basis. They provide a very professional work product, at a reasonable cost, and I look forward to using them again.

I couldn't have asked for a more skilled or thoughtful professional than Mark. We have needed these difficult and pesky repairs done for too long and he managed them all beautifully even going above and beyond to see that all was done as it was his own house. He was prompt, easy to talk with and needed no supervision. We could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Mark seamlessly plugged some nail holes in our gutters, installed a deadbolt on a door as well as making completely sure the door closed well which required a few extra adjustments, repaired and re-installed a very difficult sliding screen door, re-screened a window, installed a ceiling vent cover and made beautiful adjustments to a failing fence gate even installing an extra piece of wood to keep the stress off the lock itself (... a beautiful and inventive solution) which will keep the gate working well (which it never has) for years to come. He had to make a Home Depot run but still finished by the end of the day and was as pleasant after all that as he was at the start of the day. We are both quite pleased. Dawson dropped by to check in during the day which was very much appreciated and let us know we mattered, which is really rather nice!

The wife manages the office. She is the one that came out to obtain information for the quote not the actual person who does the work. She was nice, punctual and professional however could not help me problem solve. She collected the information and told me she would contact me with a quote. It has been a week and I've received no contact.

Everything turned out fantastic! The lady that works for the office and does all of the legistics was also fantastic. She sent out two guys to help me with the work. They were young and energentic and stayed on task. We were happy with it and was definitely worth the money spent.

Very professional and punctual. Listen intently, offered suggestions and advise with a deep explanation of what can work and why. Also gave us a realistic time line of what can happen and what to expect. Also, they were very flexible in what we wanted done with our limited budget. The quality of the materials they suggested were top notch and a large assortment to choose from. Again our budget was tight, so we stayed away from the higher end materials. Although we love their ideas and suggestions, we did not go with them as my budget for a bathroom remodel was not in line with reality. Once additional funding is acquired, we intend to go with Hire My Husband for this project.

They gave a timely, free estimate. Then, returned when they said they would for the repairs. We thought the job might be too small, but they seemed just as interested as if it were a large order. They weren't sure if the garbage disposal would need to be replaced or repaired. Just to be safe, they had the new one in their truck so they didn't need to make a second trip. I overpaid the invoice by mistake. They sent a refund check promptly back to me for the difference. Amazing honesty.

I did not expect this type of lack of professionalism from someone with A rating from Angies List. Said that she did not "feel comfortable" doing the work for us. No reasons given other than that. She acted like I had an ulterior motive for approaching her for the job. Had none. Just wanted work done. Understand if they cannot do the job but would have appreciated suggestions on how I could get my job done, rather than unexplained "do not feel comfortable" and hanging up.

I just moved and needed some help getting things set up, like a TV mounted, shower-head changed, shelves and a bathroom cabinet hung. Hire My Husband (HMH) confirmed the appointment with me and made sure they understood what I was looking to achieve so they could send the right person for the projects. HMH sent a very competent and polite handyman out with all the right tools and skills. The projects went smoothly and I'm having them come back for more! I highly recommend HMH to help you with any home projects that you need help with or just looking to complete.

We called around five contractors to get a quote on our fence repair, and Hire My Husband was the only one to respond and do a free quote on the date they said they would come out. Dawson was very professional and informative, and I felt confident in what she was telling me. We reviewed all of my concerns and Dawson said she would send me the quote once she got the materials priced out. After reviewing the quote, we scheduled the work, and the repair person was courteous and on-time. They finished the work in one day and it looks great! It even cost us less than the quote, so that was a welcome surpise. We will be calling them in the future for other projects around our house.

Called Dawson for estimate. Immediate response. Estimate given for time and amount. Work to be started within 2 days. Completed in 1 day. Wonderful Job done as usual. Clean. Will call them again, and again when needed for next project.

They did a very good job. They were prompt. They were very nice people. I enjoyed having them do work for me. Their prices are reasonable and I would hire them again.

I was not very happy with them. They installed the vanity okay but didn't caulked the top of it. The two holes were a simple job and they said they did drywall repair. They did repair one of the holes okay. The other hole had a pipe in it because I had a water heater re-piped and the old vent pipe was in the attic and slightly protruding. He said he couldn't remove it so he made a make-shift patch of the hole and put a metal flashing around it into the housing which was not what I wanted. He said he could not remove the pipe because the roof would leak if he removed it. That was not true at all and I told him to let me worry about that. So he said the pipe would no come down and it was stuck in the ceiling. I had an HVAC person there who was installing a furnace and he had done the new piping for the water heater. He went up an removed the pipe in less than five minutes. It just pulled right down. The fellow from Hire my Husband wanted to argue with me and said the pipe wouldn't come out and he couldn't cut it. I told him I didn't want him to cut it, I just wanted him to pull is out. He just refused to do it. I haven't received the bill yet but I believe it's around $400 which I feel is excessive, but I did agree to that. The woman who came out initially, Dawson, for the estimate was very good and was punctual and when I would call her she would follow through with everything. I just had problems with one of her people. I do think the price was high for what they did. He should have done everything the way it wanted it. I believe they had a separate person install the vanity which was an easy job that I could have done myself if I had a truck to pick up the vanity. I'm guessing the work did not take more than two hours for everything. I thought it was high but went with it because I needed to get it done. They did show up on time and did show up when they said they would. The person who did the patching was not very responsive and refused to do what I wanted and just wanted to argue with me. I would not use this company again.

We needed to replace a broken kitchen faucet. We worked with Brandon who arrived on time, worked efficiently and completed the job flawlessly. He was a pleasure to work with and he even offered to go to Home Depot for us when we realized we needed a different item. Would definitely use Hire My Husband again.

Poorly. Website seemed amateurish.

I just purchased a home in February of 2012. I had lots of things on the "to do" list that I didn't have time for or the know how to get done! Based on friends using Angies List, I joined and looked up Handymen. I landed on Hire my Husband and made the call. Dawson came over and had a look at my "honey-do lost". I received a quote and decided to proceed with 95% of the list. So far about 80% of the lis has been completed and I couldn't be happier. Dawson has done all the arrangments and Brandon has been the "husband" doing the majority of the work. They have been professional and all the work has been great. I still have some things to be completed and I plan on continuing my "honey-do list" with Hire My Husband.

They were very nice and professional. They also showed up on time. However, she has put the project on hold.
