Kurt Riseling Construction

Kurt was hired to replace our deck in July of 2022. it is still not complete as of March of 2023. We paid him more than 80% of the quoted price at the time. He has not contacted us since the end of November. There are multiple problems with the construction, and we still do not have an approval from the city inspector on the build. Kurt has not provided engineering plans required by the city to complete the build. We are at a standstill without a finished deck. He came to our house with his workers and left a mess without cleaning it up. He told us they all smoked which is true, but he said that they would clean everything up which is not true. We are still finding cigarettes in our garden to this day. I would recommend finding a different contractor. I would rate a zero on every measure above, if it was possible.

Kurt and his crew were professional, experience and open-minded.

Disorganized, inefficient, constant delays. Ordered material unnecessary and charged me for it since it could not be returned to his supplier. Carpenter and helper were very good. End product I am satisfied with, but I am still trying to get repairs/modifications completed. Project started 7/5/19, not completed until mid October.

Kurt installed baseboards in family room, kitchen and stairway to 2nd floor. Reasonably priced, efficient, showed up on time, excellent clean up, courteous and very good quality work.

I wish he was professional in his approach to work, there is a difference on what he says prior to starting work, and actually while doing the work.

Arriving on time Kurt and helper did a great job on installing my new vanity.....they had to replace a old plumbing fixture that we didn't figure on and went to home depot to complete the job...will use again on some small jobs around the house.

Kurt is a good guy, fair and does a great job. I'm really picky and found him super easy to work with. Would highly recommend him.

They did a good job on the deck, but their tendency to come late, leave early and take half days off here and there made them a little slow at the job. Also, I now have sprinkler problems that I didn't have before they started and first they were out of town, then they were sick, then they stopped replying, so now I'm going to have to find a sprinkler contractor.

Kurt and his crew did a great job on my deck project. I wanted a large lower deck 20 x 20 and a 20 x 10 upper deck/balcony and a 20 x 8 arbor. Kurt's bid was right in the middle price wise. He started the job when I wanted and he finished 2 days over the estimated finish date (due to rain delay). My husband and I are thrilled with the finished project and can't wait to use it all summer.I would and am referring him to friends. Kurt's easy going attitude and good communication made him very easy to work with.
