Description of Work: A wonderful company! They came, got up on the roof and checked out the chimney, came into the living room and cleaned out the fireplace. When they left, other than the clean fireplace, you wouldn't know they had been here. The employees were very polite and careful of our possesions and a delight to work with. I highly recommend this company!

Description of Work: We purchased a new house and in having the chimney inspected, found the damper was not working, bricks missing in the floor of the fireplace and several cracks in the fireplace that made it unsafe. Geraldo and his team ordered all the required parts and fixed the fireplace and chimney. They were on time, completely professional and left the living room cleaner then when they arrived. I have used them before and will use them again. I highly recommend Mr Chimney.

Description of Work: 2 technicians came out, one cleaned the chimney and fireplace from the inside, the other man went on the roof and checked the chimney cap, and the inside of the chimney from the top down. They were tidy and cleaned up after themselves. One of the technicians discussed his findings with me (using illustrations so I could understand what he was talking about) and suggested cleaning every 3 years. They completed the job within an hour (they arrived a little early) and were very polite the whole time. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Two fireplaces in a pair of flats. Replaced damper, installed stainless steel sleeve, replaced cap on one fireplace. The other was in good repair so just was cleaned. Total cost $3700 which was significantly less than a competitor. Not cheap, but a good value.

Description of Work: I purchased a chimney sweeping and safety inspection through Angie's List Big Deals. I was contacted next day to schedule an appointment. Linda, the office manager, was very patient and helpful, and I was able to reschedule with no issues. | |On the day of the cleaning, the technician (sorry, forgot his name!) actually gave a call to let me know he had an earlier time slot available, but unfortunately I couldn't do it, so we settled for the original time. He arrived on time, set up quickly, explained everything he needed to do, and went about performing the tasks. Afterwards he explained his inspection findings (no issues found) and gave me some tips on what to look for that might cause issues down the road. He cleaned up everything he set up, and was on his way. | |Overall, I was very happy with the service. It was easy for me dealing with this company, and the technician was efficient and professional. I'd definitely use them again if I have any chimney issues.

Description of Work: Mr Chimney swept out the insides of two chimneys. He removed 60 years of ash from the interior. He did NOT create any mess. He pointed out several issues with the overall structure of the chimneys. He was prompt, professional and polite.

Description of Work: An initial problem occurred in establishing a service date due to absence of the secretary from the office for several days. Once set, Matrin and his assistant arrived earlier than the set time, after calling ahead. Cleaning of our two fireplace chimneys as well as freeing a stuck damper was expeditiously and professionally done and cleanup was outstanding. The total service was excellent, I'll certainly use again.

The team was experienced, listened to specific concerns we wanted addressed (crows nesting, chimney integrity), and completed the work quickly and efficiently. They took pictures to help explain their findings.

He called ahead to say he would be 10 minutes late, which was fine--and he did arrive exactly 10 minutes after appt. time. Polite and efficient; careful about covering area surrounding fireplace. Absolutely no clean up necessary after he left.
