PURITY CHEMICAL CO

VERY POOR SERVICE. WOULD NOT SHOW UP FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. FINALLY TERMINATED WHEN DIDN'T APPEAR FOR 3 WEEKS. PREVIOUSLY HE HAD REPLACED FILTER AND PUMP AND BACKFLUSHED FILTER. QUICK ON COSTLY REPAIRS AND GOOD INSTALLATION, BUT TERRIBLE ON MONTHLY SERVICE. LAWS

When I began using "Purity Chemical" a number of years ago. They did a very thorough job even doing little extra things at not charge.When my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, then was in a hospice in our home terminally ill, I was so focused on her and caring for her that a was three months behind on all bills including mortgage, Medicare premiums, Kaiser premium, utilities, pool care, etc. I had the money. I was just overwhelmed. "Purity Chemical" was gracious and understanding. During the last year of her illness, I didn't check on the pool. After her death on August 1, 2013, I noticed that "Purity Chemical" had dumped the diatomaceous earth from the filter onto the decorative rocks bordering the pool. There were three areas where the diatomaceous earth was dumped. I called "Purity Chemical" and spoke to Marlon. He promised to come to my home to see what had been done. He did not keep the appointment nor did he call. I called again and spoke to Marlon. I told him I also needed a new motor for the pump. He made an appointment to check the "dumpings" on Monday - May 12, 2014. He did not keep the appointment nor did he call. On the phone the first and second times I called him, he said nothing like what I described had ever happened in 25 years. I resent his denial of responsibility and lack of professionalism. By his behavior, I assume he is not going to clean up the diatomaceous earth that was dropped in at least three different places and is not compensate me for having someone else take care of his responsibility. I also assume that this has happened a number of times with others customers. I will employ another pool service. I am a retired teacher. I have never experienced anything similar to this.

We were able to buy a new pump from a friend who works in the industry, and Ken from Purity Chemical installed it quickly and for a reasonable price. He cleaned up completely when he was done. Great job! I would use Purity Chemical in the future.
