Description of Work: i was having issues with my 12 yr old Maytag washer moving around during spin cycle .the tech showed up on time ,and removed some of the paneling to inspect the various parts that would cause the problem .he found nothing wrong and checked the footing on the washer also,after asking many question about how we do laundry we discovered that we were loading the washer very wrong ,how did i miss that one, problem solved

Description of Work: Replaced oven element. Part had to be ordered so second visit needed. Finding the element entry/exit was the challenge - it didn't show up on the attached drawing or in anything online. Once located, the replacement was quick.

Description of Work: Replaced the freezer fan to repair the loss of cooling in the top half of our freezer/fridge.

Description of Work: Service call for my gas range/oven. Oven would not light. Of course it worked when they got here. Only charged for a service call, gave me prices for possible causes of malfunction, if it were to continue. The service call I paid would be good for 30 days so if problem returned there would be no extra charge. Did not feel pressured to purchase anything, felt he was honest.

Description of Work: We didn't use their repair service, although they do provide it. We purchased a new stove and refrigerator from them. (This is also why I didn't fill in the "cost of service" block. If you average these things out, $1200 will skew the repair cost results unfairly since there was no repair involved but rather two purchases.) 90% of the houses in this city have the same size kitchen and the same size space available for a refrigerator. Lakewood-Bellflower is the only (so far as we have been able to find) vendor that sells a good selection of appliances that fit properly into the spaces available. Our last fridge jutted out into the main kitchen walkway and never looked right but was the smallest we could find. But here we had a large selection of appliances that would actually fit without structurally altering the kitchen. In addition, Jerald was knowledgeable, helpful, communicated with us at every stage, and the deliveries were prompt and carefully done.

Description of Work: They repaired my refrigerator as we were experiencing problems with the ice maker. It is a bottom-half sliding drawer freezer. Bellflower charges a $69 service call fee. They came out and were able to fix the problem. They were professional and all around it was a great experience.

Description of Work: Repair and replace icemaker

Description of Work: I called Bellflower Lakewood Appliance Center to arrange for someone to come out to fix my dishwasher, which isn't getting my dishes clean. The man who answered said he wanted to ask me a few questions first to see if he could help me. His first question was, do I use Cascade dishwasher soap? I said yes. He said that was my problem. That they had changed their formulation from phosphate to bleach base, and while it was good for the environment, it wasn't good for getting dishes clean. He suggested I try getting a new dishwasher soap with phosphate base, and if that didn't work, to then call him back. Which I will do if I need to because I appreciated his information and the honesty it took to forgo a payment in giving this information.

Description of Work: Pete was great, he came out on time, and quickly diagnosed what the problems were with our dryer. It was not heating properly, and it would take hours to dry things. It was also making very loud noises as it dried. He replaced the coil kit, belt, and idler. He also greased appropriate parts. Our dryer seems quieter than when we got it. He explained everything and showed us why he was replacing certain parts.
