Jessie communicated very well and arrived on time and moved the piano in perfectly. Great Job.

Driver called day before, called next day with time. (Bad storm closed some roads.) Arrived later than expected.

Great job all around. Very polite and professional movers. Coordination with dispatch was great.

I waited until a week from the day I needed to be picked up to select a mover; I called one mover rated very highly on Angie's list for the DC area but their minimum move was 3,000lbs--they called Sterling for me and Sterling called me back. They charged me $120 extra for the short notice--but when I changed the pick-up date by four days there was no extra charge. Overall they are not cheap and you do pay for absolutely every service you request. They came on time and were extremely professional (it was a subsidiary company that picked me up since Sterling is based in LA). The move did not go smoothly but I think that how a company acts when there are problems is the best gauge of how they act overall. First, the guys who came to pick up the stuff told me that I should have packed 1) a lamp globe, and, 2) a mirror to a vanity table (which I had been charged for them taking apart). I actually didn't want the mirror (for reasons too complicated to go into) but I ran to wrap the globe--one of the guys said "Oh we'll do that." To make a long story short they wrapped both the globe and the lamp (using MY bubblewrap) and when I got the bill it was for $52 more for their labor and the packing materials (although I had plenty of extra boxes lying around). I complained that they had never said a thing about an extra charge and that I had plenty of time to wrap the globe; Jay, one of the owners, dropped the charge. Next when the driver showed up in Tucson, the chair to the vanity was missing--he said that the DC warehouse had put it into one of my boxes--that didn't make a lot of sense (no room in any of the boxes I packed and no indication that any of the boxes had been opened) so I listed it as missing. Well that got me constant contact from Jay and other people in the LA office--even as you could tell they really thought it was in one of my boxes they put out an APB. They did find it and called me many times to assure me it was on the way--it was supposed to be dropped off by a driver going east from LA but I wasn't available so the driver sent it UPS. And the office kept called to ask if it had arrived and if everything was ok. Considering that the vanity chair weighed maybe 5 lbs and I did not have extra insurance--they would only have had to pay me $3 if they had lost it. It surely cost them more in time and UPS charges to get it back to me. I appreciate all the effort they put in to keep me happy. So I recommend them to you without hesitation. You rarely get more than what you pay for, so while they're far from cheap, they are worth it.

There were no hidden fees or gotchas, everything was as they said it would be.

Showed up on time, when they got to the next stop before we did, they knew exactly what to do with no reviewing or prompting ion the instructions. They stayed late to finish the job. Accidently walked off with the spate keys and they took them to an open post office that night to mail them back. Amazing.

For me, customer service and interaction is key. If the people I am paying to do a job do not have my needs at the forefront of their minds, I have a hard time paying this much out of pocket. But, everyone at Sterling was wonderful, from my quote, all throughout the move, I was more than happy. They are not the cheapest, but in my mind it is worth much more to have a competent company move my stuff. You definitely get what you pay for!

They were kind of dry and their price seemed to be high at the time. They didn't seem to be interested in doing the work. They didn't say too much about being experienced and my first impression wasn't very good.

It was excellent overall. On the East Coast, however, they didn't give my mother enough time to prepare for their coming over, but they were so well-mannered and professional, she didn't mind. Dropping the piano off was a carefully planned out process and the guys had the utmost respect for our property, our house, our floors, everything. They even helped fix little things wrong with the piano (a loose screw, etc.). I couldn't recommend them more.

THEIR SERVICE WAS GOOD AND I THINK THEY WERE REALLY GENEROUS AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY HAD A GOOD PRICE AND IT WAS A FUN EXPERIENCE FOR ME. THEY WERE GREAT.

THEY WERE VERY CAUTIOUS AND CAREFUL ABOUT TAKING CARE OF THE PIANO. THEY WORKED QUICKLY AND DILIGENTLY. THE MEN MOVING OUR PIANO WERE VERY POLITE AND NICE.
