Venable's promptly responded to my request for an estimate and gave me a fair price. When I came back with a slightly lower competitor's price, they met that price. They trimmed and shaped my trees, cleaned everything up, and completed the job in a very timely manner. I am very satisfied with their work.

The job was done in 20 mins. I took 3 hours trying to do this and they made it look easy.

Monday they came out and gave an estimate and were available to do the work the next day. The arrived on time ealry in the morning and performed the job and cleaned everything up afterwards. Fielded questions and were very nice and projessional.

Not much to say. I called last week to request an estimate for tree trimming and/or removal. No answer at business number given, so I left a message with my name, phone #'s, date and time I called and the reason for my call on voicemail. No response from the vendor-none. I hired someone else.

I met with Fidel who provided me with an estimate that I thought to be quite fair especially given the fact that I had not had my trees and bushes trimmed in years plus the removal of a large palm tree. I was very pleased with their work. They arrived as planned and did most of the work the first day, but did return the next day to complete the task. They did a very good clean-up job, so good that it was hard to tell that I even had a tree removed. I think they went the extra mile when one member of the crew asked me if I wanted them to shred some of the tree material and spread it around as mulch. I would highly recommend Venable's Tree Service. I know that I will be using them again and, hopefully, on a more routine basis in the future.

The front tree looks great and you can't tell where the remaining stump was in the back yard. The cleanup was awesome and they were professional, polite, and courteous. When grinding the remaining stump in the back yard a sprinkler pipe (pvc) was broken and they fixed it without asking or charging extra (just good business).

Perfect for start to finish. I called, Tom was here within an hour to give me a quote on the trees. The quote was very reasonable and Tom was able to schedule it for three days later. The crew showed up promptly. Tom was here to supervise and get things started. As one of the trees was located directly over a water line, Tom and his crew took extra care in how they cut and removed the tree to project it. They were fast, they were safe and the cleaned up completely. Neighbors were so impressed they hired them on the spot to do some work on their trees! Super job!

They were excellent. They were really outstanding. We've lived here almost 30 years and used a lot of tree services and these are by far the best we've had. They are very professional. They wear green and yellow uniforms, so you know they all belong to the same crew and match their vehicles. I think that made them look even more professional. The appraiser came back after they left and fixed a few extra things. They were just great. I just can't say enough good about them.

They were extremely helpful, even coming a day earlier that we expected, which was fine with us. They stacked all the trimmings neatly in one area on the front lawn (and this was a considerable amount) and when they were done, removed everything without leaving anything left over. They were polite and worked very efficiently. We would definitely use their services again.

Contact person was Fidel, he seemed good and professional. Well they left way too many roots, did'nt clean up properly and asked them to come back finish the clean up, they never came back. They dropped branches in my back nieghbors yard and never told them or us. The nieghbor informed us and put the branches back on our yard. I have some landscape work to do but they will not be considered for the bid...never again

the forman came out and gave me a bid. we set up an appointment for the next day. come to find out they don't normally work in my area...only, or usually, up on the Panaromac Bluffs, and why not...that's where the money is. The crew came the next day and started the job. The forman came back to collect the money. At that time he noticed that it wasn't what they were supposed to do. He asked if I changed my mind. I said no. So he said he would bring them back the next day to do it right. sure enough the next morning the crew showed up with him and the job was comleted. Now i'm satisfied.!

I called to schedule service with hopes for Saturday estimating appointment. Due to my needs for both gardening and tree service I was scheduled with owner. Owner was late to appt with no phone call. I called to check and was told of a problem with promise for later appt same day. Owner and Mr Venable, the senior tree expert, arrived and were very helpful. Mr Venable provided the estimated prices for each shrub/tree service that I described. We walked the yard as I described the sprinkler issue. I also shared my dreams of services next fall such as the big Chinese elm pruning, adding a new shade tree, and fixing the shrub bed edging. I was promised review of the sprinklers during the tree trimming at no extra charge. I expected trimming to take place Monday or Tuesday. Service finally took place Thursday. I came home to naked shrubs/tree. I was a little shocked at the amount of trimming. I decided I didn't convey any specifics about the amount of trimming except on the yucca. It was radically trimmed as I expected with just a few small stems remaining. I looked back at photos of the yard from 2008 and I know that in a few years the shrubs/tree will likely be full again. The large juniper is still losing some of its remaining branches. I really think it was over-pruned. The small juniper looks good and healthy. The yucca already has new growth. I look forward to seeing how the pine looks over time. I learned from a neighbor that the irrigation box out front was left open. He came over and closed it. I could tell that the box in the back had never been opened so no review of it could have taken place. I don't know yet if the sprinkler in front is working. Time will tell. I'm disappointed that the salvia at the base of the yucca was broken so much. Thankfully, it is developing new shoots. I never discussed saving the salvia so I do not feel I can hold them responsible. Overall, I received good service. I have not actually paid. I have not received the promised invoice.

I was very impressed with the service provided by Venables from the get go. I spoke with a man named John who was very eager to earn my business. His prices were lower than the competitors and he was willing to start the next day despite the fact that I contacted him in the afternoon. The next morning his crew was out at my property and cut down all the palm trees (5). They then ground out all the stumps and left the place spotless. John sent me pictures that day of the work. It took 4 hours for his crew to completely finish the job, I must say I was very impressed and Venable's definitely exceeded my expectations with their work. I will definitely be hiring them again when I want more work done on my properties!

Excellent! From the first call to get a quote through to the completion of services it was a pleasure dealing with this company.

Overall it was good. can't complain.

Pruned effectively thinning out the trees well. Clean up was good except for some branch dragging marks on the sidewalk.

Arrived on time and completed work in a professional manner. I was satisfied with the work performed.

Called 4 tree service companies. 3 of which where on Angie's List. Venable's Tree Service was the the fastest to respond & was the cheapest. They did not show up as promised. They were supposed to be out at the site @ 10:00a.m. They ended up showing up between 2:00-3:00p.m. This was not a major issue to me. My overall satisfaction with this company is very good. I do highly recommend them.

I found them on Angie’s List and they had good reviews. They were all right. They were pretty nice. They did drop a branch on my gate. So, they took $100 off so that I could fix it. I was happy with them. They did an okay job. They stood by their work. So, I don’t have any complaints about them. It was quite a big tree and the original quote was $900, but I paid $800 because they trashed my gate. They seemed to be pretty professional. They seemed anxious to get the work. They called me and said that they would come and look at it. Then they said they would come back in the afternoon to do the job. So, I said okay. The next thing I know is that they were standing outside like 15 minutes later. I was going to move the date, but they called me as assigned to tell me that they would do it then. So, it was okay. I told them that I didn’t want my driveway gate ruined. They were speaking Spanish. There is only one guy that speaks English and that’s the way everything is around here. I wasn’t even sure if they were the same people. It wasn’t the guy that I talked to on the phone. All of a sudden, they were here and I wasn’t sure if they were the right people. They had told me that they were going to come in the afternoon. I only saw one person and he wasn’t the actual person that ran the company. I am sure he was somewhere else doing larger contracts. I didn’t want them to fix the gate. I agreed to take just $100 and I went and got a new gate. They were very fast. They cleaned it up and offered to do more work for me. I didn’t want any more work done and I didn’t want to pay them another $1100 for a full yard clean up. They were willing to prune the rest of the eucalyptus trees on the driveway. The eucalyptus trees didn’t need pruning because they don’t get any water. People can comfortably call them and have good results. Their price wasn’t cheap, but it wasn’t the worst in the world either. They showed up, pruned the trees and were gone in a couple of hours. The guy that ran the company showed up and made things right. So, he was responsive and very professional. He is the one that owns the company. I would call them back. They were prompt, fast and professional. When minor stuff went wrong, they were responsive and were able to negotiate without any problems.

Venables was the only tree service company, out of several I called, that was open and availible to give an estimate during the weekend. The owner cam out within an hour after calling to give an estimate. He returned a few days later and removed a 40+ foot California Fan Palm tree quickly and hauled off the tree in pieces and cleane up thoroughly.
