We agreed on $194.00 for all five jobs. He did not complete all the jobs, yet he charged me the same amount for only three. I would like a refund for the two jobs he did not complete, or fix them.

Couldn't figure out the problem, said problem was in attic, but he didn't go in attic. Had to hire another handyman and problem wasn't in attic, it was in my hallway. Second handyman fixed problem.

He was good and it turned out nice. They were very responsive.

An eyesore of a wheelchair ramp, and porch needed to be removed from a mobile home I recently purchased. New stairs would also have to be built. I contacted Mr Fix-it, Jim Witmyer by email through the Angies List website. I received a response in about 5 days, and an appointment for a quote was set up 3 days later. Mr Witmyer came at the time agreed for the quote, (no waiting around) and we discussed the services I wanted to have performed. After a pleasant conversation, in which I received a free tip on how to paint a fence, I received a verbal quote for $1200, and this was followed up later that day with a written quote by email. After informing Mr. Witmyer that I would go ahead with the work, an appointment was set up within a week. I was informed of the time frame that the work would take (about 9 hours) and the arrival time of the work crew (8:30AM). By noon, the old ramp and unwanted porch sections were all gone, and construction of the stairs and rails began. I had only asked for a very simple set of stairs and ramps, and that is exactly what I received. Upon completion around 5:00PM, the work area was cleaned up and presentable. Mr .Witmyer had contacted me while the project was underway, informing me that the initial quote of $1200, would be reduced to $1100, which was a welcome surprise. The whole process was hassle free from start to finish and even afterwards a 5% discount that is offered for new Angies List customers, which was inadvertently missed during the process, was offered by Mr Witmyer. My experience went well, no complaints. I will definitely enlist their services for future projects when needed. For the work that I had done (stair construction and demolition work), I would recommend to others, that Mr. Fix-it Home Repair & handyman be considered.

Jim was very prompt in getting back with me and coming out to give us an estimate. Within a week his people were at our home and making it beautiful again. We were very pleased, the price wasn't bad either

Was there less than 1 hour. Charged more than my regular plumber charges. Thought I was getting a lower cost since they are not plumbing contractors. Would not recommend.

Jim and his crew are extremely professional, arrive on time, and don't fool around wasting time and money. They are skilled craftspeople who know how to get the job done. They are also personable and friendly, and take the time to offer alternative solutions or explain how the work is going to be done. Their hourly rate is higher than most, but you get what you pay for. So when I checked "C" above for price, that means fair, as in a fair price. Mr. Fixit has done work for us several times over the past two years, and it has always been A+, so we are happy to pay a bit more and have the job done right the first time. Jim's admin assistant is also very pleasant, organized, and knows her stuff. We will continue to use Mr. Fixit for any and all repairs around here! There isn't much they can't do.

I'm willing to acknowledge that I do not know how good this business is....but if I can't get them on the phone in the first place..."things" usually do not go well afterward. Either way. I will never find out.

The owner's worker came out, found out what parts were needed, got the parts and installed within about 1.5 hours. He was a little late, but did not charge me more than what was quoted before we started. I do appreciate he bought a whole case of bulbs, but only charged me for the one he used. Nice people to deal with and good service.

The bathtub still drips and was left unfinished with only one handle which we need to switch back and forth. I have callled several times to try to get the work completed but have not been contacted back. I liked Jim's personal attitude but I feel that he doesn't come through with his promises and I felt that the job he left us with was completely unprofessional. We were extremely disappointed.

When he didn't show up for the estimate, we called him and he said he got tied up with something and would be on his way soon. When he finally arrived, he seemed nice enough. He left telling us he'd get back to us with an estimate yet never did.

Mr. Fix It was great! I called on Saturday morning and was not expecting to get anyone out that day, but HAD TO. When they heard my situation they squeezed me into their schedule. They helped me replace a window on a Saturday! Normal people can't do that. They were very professional, fast, and accommodating. I will be using Mr. Fix It frequently.

waited for his email on Wednesday did not receive anything, so I gave it till Thursday did not get anything still, I called his office left a message reminding him I needed his quote to send it to the insurance adjuster, to please give me a call or send me the quote by email. I called again on Friday left another message, his secretary called me back and I told her I needed this quote asap, she said that she would let him know and that I should hear from him on Monday. Well today is Monday and still have not heard from him by call or email. I paid the $9.00 to join the membership and got nothing. I would like my money returned. I was able to find someone else who came out Friday and dropped off his quote today here with me.

HI my name is jesse , I had a entrance door that was fallen off the hinges I called Mr. Fix it and they came out too take measurements and too give me a price too fix. 2 days later they sent a man named Don out too install the new door! Don did a awesome job, he got too my shop on time went way out of his way too make sure we was happy the door looks better then it ever has. I contacted the company on Monday, we scheduled an appointment for the following day. Day of, I was contacted in advance of the appointment to confirm and he arrived as scheduled. We discussed options and he provided recommendations as well as listened to my specific requests. Overall an excellent experience. I put price as good because wouldn't we all like things like this to cost less??? But the final bill matched the quote exactly with no adders or change orders. Would definitely hire again.

The technician called when he was on his way. On that particular morning the smoke alarms decided to start conversing with each other. Unable to reach one of the smoke detectors I asked the technician if he had a tall ladder pretty much as soon as I opened the door. He did. He offered to replace the battery but that didn't work on another smoke detector so I just asked him to take it out. Favor number 1. While he and the other technician were working one one of the four bedrooms I asked if he could measure and cut a chair rail I attempted to put up in my daughters room and gave up on. Favor number 2. We had the chair rail and I figured he would just cut it and leave it to me to put up, which a would have been fine. He measured, cut and installed the chair rail and it matches the baseboards. It looks great. Better than I could have done. Once the baseboards were done, they caulked and sanded them. We've had other baseboards installed in the main living areas of the house and the installation of those didn't quite measure up. They weren't as thorough when cleaning up and left chucks of baseboards on the floor with some other debris, but with the extra favors they did, I'm completely satisfied. Hopefully we won't need more baseboards In the future, but if we did, I know who to call.

A couple of days prior to the Saturday appt., I called to ask if I could add grouting around the toilets to the job and was told by the person answering the phone it would have to be a separate job with a separate trip charge. Not a "general handyman" in my opinion, which is what I need.

I contacted provider for a quote, unfortunately the provider does not service the Fresno area anymore. But he was very responsive, and e-mailed me about 10 minutes later, then after a phone call, he told me that he won't be able to provide services since he's only in Bakersfield. I thought the services were professional and prompt, he didn't ignore my request.

He did okay. They actually got the job done, they came out and they did it fast. It was reasonable compared to other company.

All work was done as specified on the day scheduled at the time scheduled. Everyone who came to my house both for the estimate and the actual work was polite and friendly and maintained a business atmosphere through out. They seemed very capable and well informed about their work. They finished more quickly than the estimator thought they would and the price was adjusted accordingly. I will use their service again.

Mr. Fix-It and his crew did an incredible job refinishing my garage. I had been a little afraid of it every since I moved in, a number of years ago. It was only finished to the studs-and-tar-paper stage, and the cement on the floor had begun to crumble in places. It was dark, dirty, and had creepy-crawlies in it. His team drywalled the two exposed walls, put in a drop ceiling, new fluorescent lights, and a new door opener, and plastered and painted the walls. They also installed several storage cabinets, which were sorely lacking. The final step was the refinish the floor, to make it smooth, put a coat of some nice tan refinishing material on it. The difference is AMAZING! No more creepy-crawlie!. It's as nice as a guest room. Thank you, Mr. Fix-It!
