Description of Work: Attached new doorbell plate Bought three light kits and replaced current square light boxes with round and re-cut plywood to cover corners. I opted to do the popcorn ceiling repair myself. Removed one old track light and installed two new track lights in its place. Repairman had to crawl in attic space to accomplish this. Repaired one accordion door bottom toggle and secured it , put door back in place in front of dryer. Purchased two new locks/dead bolt sets for side garage doors and installed them, purchased door sweep for one of these doors and attached to bottom, purchased and installed longer plate for third door so locks fit more securely. Had all three locks keyed to match each other.

Description of Work: After my home warranty service sent out two (2) incompetent plumbing companies to repair my plumbing problem resulting from a very bad licensed contractor experience I requested that Mr. Fix It be approved to fix the problem. Mr. Fix It was able to diagnose the problem, order the correct part and repair the problem. Mr. Fix It installed the part, and fixed the drywall in my kitchen ceiling. Mr. Fix It will be only the repairman approved to make my future home repairs. He is honest, knowledgeable and a man of integrity. He also does quality work and does not cut corners.

Description of Work: I called Jim on a Saturday. He answered the call and we scheduled a Monday appointment to fix my electrical screw-ups. Jim called to be a little late (30 min), but was thorough and corrected the problem efficiently and quickly. I will use again for similar issues.

Before he had begun his work, I had explained to him that, not only would he use my chain link fencing material, but all left over wires, screws, etc. would remain with me, so there really was no "disposal" fee. He did return, and had me provide $5.00 change for the $30.00 he had provided. Luckily, I had cash, as I seldom have more than change in the house. It was difficult initially to get in touch with him, as he repeatedly did not respond to the Angie's List e-mail. I finally tracked him down through the white pages. The materials he brought for an additional privacy fence looked used and were dirty. He left ugly jagged edges when he divided the sections to use in another area, and he often showed up unexpectedly, which I found annoying.

Description of Work: Mr Fixit has a $50 trip fee. That is taken into account when he agrees to do the job. For instance; if the job costs $40, your cost will be $90 and he tells you that up front. If the job is only going to cost $10, he suggests ways you can fix it yourself or call someone who has a less expensive trip charge. I had a dripping shower head. He came, assessed the situation, told me I needed a new valve and then went to get it. He has a helper with him most of the time. When they returned they replaced the valve in the cold water handle and I thought all was well.

Description of Work: Drywall was installed and painted due to an upstairs leak, electrical outlets were updated to rollers and tile/grout repaired in shower.

Description of Work: Tile a small bathroom, he tiled on 85% of the room, left hidden area uncovered, my husband had to finish the job; the laundry room - he moved the exhause for the dryer, left the other ones open and stuffed rags in the holes; and he never showed up to repair the fence (the fence was not in estimate). He did have someone come and put in a security door which we have no problems with. He does not return calls; and he does not finish his work. We are not happy with his company and will not call him again
