McKinley Window and Glass

Jon was outstanding. He was punctual and very open with communication. He came by for a quote and when I ordered the window it two weeks--just as he said it would. The installation was outstanding. He worked so hard to not damage the stucco...but we found out that the bottom of the window was "floating" and some stucco came off with it. He made sure to patch up the entire window area and it looks great. Once I paint it...no one will be able to tell. I would highly recommend. He takes great pride in his work.

I called McKinley Windows and Glass and Jon answered the phone . I told him my husband and I wanted to get an estimate to replace my windows. Jon said estimates were free and asked to set the appointment for the next day so my husband could be home too. I said anytime after 5 pm was fine and we settled on 5:30 pm. He called the day of to confirm the appointment and he showed up on time. My husband was running late from work so Jon asked if he could measure the windows and draw a floor plan while we waited. He was very polite and patient. When my husband got home , Jon sat down with us to figure out what exactly we wanted to do. He answered our questions about the different types of windows and energy savings. He also told us how one of our windows could be changed to a door. He was honest about the prices and told us that a french door was more expensive than a sliding door and which windows were losing the most energy ( we have a large window in the front of the house). My husband said he wanted to get a couple of estimates to compare prices and Jon was understanding. He explained how long it takes to order them and install them once we decided if we wanted to go with him. I felt like he was honestly trying to give us information and not pressuring us to "buy now". We called two other companies. McKinley window and glass was a better fit by far. The estimate was lower than one company and the other company who was lower, started very high and kept dropping the price to get us to sign up right then. It made me uncomfortable. We called McKinley window and glass back and asked Jon if the estimate was negotiable. He explained ways to lower the price like only doing grids in the front windows. I felt like he was honest with his prices and wasn't starting high like the other company. We signed a contract and ordered the windows. I asked to put down half now and the rest when the job was done, but Jon said that he only accepts 10% now and I would need to pay in full when the work was done. He said it would take about 10 working days to get the order in. Jon called 12 days later and said they came in that day and would like to schedule to install. I asked if he could come out the next day because my husband and I were going out of town and wanted to get the windows in before we left. He said he could install them then. Jon showed up right on time and went over what work was going to be done and asked if we had any questions. He moved the furniture in the bedroom away from the window and he put cloth down where he was working. He worked fast. He asked if it would be ok to work a little late to get the windows finished that day if he needed too. I asked that he not stay later than 8pm. He got the whole job done that day. He cleaned up all the mess and cleaned the windows too. He even showed me how to use them and gave me the information about the warranty. He was done by 6pm. I would recommend McKinley window and glass to anyone. I was very impressed and would use them again if I need windows or doors in the future. A+
