Poor customer service. Did not complete the service call or communicate to us about the procedure.
Description of Work: Sent by home warranty company to repair an older model microwave. Representative was late for appointment. Asked for and received the warranty service charge and left. The home warranty company received a report from this representative stating there is no mechanical damage to microwave; yet it is in about 4 or 5 pieces due to mechanical problems. We accepted that the warranty wouldn't pay for him to do the repairs and asked him to order the parts and complete the job anyway. He never showed up again. We called him but the phone employee was very rude and didn't direct our request to anyone. Money spent, no service.

. The representative who came, used a hair dryer to thaw the build up of ice in the freezer and took apart the food basket. He manipulated wires in the back and said it was fixed. He put the basket back together wrong and it did not fit, so that the door would not close. The refrigerator was not fixed and he came back the next week and cut wires in the back and said he was going to order a part. This all took place over 2 weeks. The next Saturday he was due to come back with a part, but L. A. appliance and said he could not come and no one else could come in his place. I called my own repairman who actually also works for AHS. He came to my house and said that the L. A. appliance repairman had cut electrical wires and taped them together. He said it was so poorly done that it could cause a short. He also said that there was no part needed. This second company repairman fixed what L. A. appliance repair messed up and fixed what he said was a simple problem in less than 20 minutes. I had been without cooled food for 3 weeks and had waited for L. A. appliance to fix it all for over 2 weeks.
Description of Work: I have a service agreement in AHS. They contacted the repair service of their choice to come to my house. My refrigerator was not keeping food cold. L. A. repairman was called by AHS to come to my house and fix the problem. When he came the first time, my mother letting the repair person in, while I was in the other room. From the other room, the repairman demanded my mom pay him, before he started working. I have had AHS home services for 15 years and have never had a repairman demand payment prior to service. He also told my 81 year old mom to get a basket and remove the all the food items from the refrigerator and freezer. She was wandering around looking for a basket when I entered the room. She had been lying back in her chair when he arrived because she was recovering from a hospital stay that week for double pneumonia.
