The people were nice. They did their job within the timeline that they gave me.

From the moment the measurements started, it wasn't good. The gentleman that did the measuring had no idea how to do certain special needs we had for our home. We have step down rooms in our home. He could not give us suggestions on what type of flooring would be best. Then he explained that after he finishes his measurements, we would be contacted by the Manager from the store to go over everything and get the final pricing. The call we received was from a woman in Michigan. We live in California. We explained the step down living room and den and that we would need to have some kind of special tile to cover the step down. She had no idea how to help us. She then told us to go to our local store to meet with a service agent there. When we arrived at the store, no one knew why we were there. We were told we had a scheduled appointment which was not true. So after meeting with a young man at the store, we realized he was not familiar with tile or carpet and he could not access our info on his computer. He was not knowledgeable in flooring. He even tried to talk me into a cheaper flooring because the one I wanted was not in stock. He explained that he would have someone else contact us. After several days, we were finally called by a woman at the same store. She claimed she was the flooring expert and could help us fix whatever issues we had. But , they are like dealing with a huge puzzle. YOU are responsible for trying to piece the entire flooring experience together. In my opinion Home Depot should not be selling flooring unless it is to a Do It Yourself Person. They do not have installers. They do not have salesman. They were very unprofessional and disorganized. It was not a full service experience. We will not be using Home Depot in the future.

I didn't really deal with them in person. They installed the carpet in a rental house, so I don't have a whole lot to go on. They did a good job. They didn't have to come back and fix anything, so I guess they were alright.
