Terrible customer service. We had a gas leak at our home and subsequently PG&E turned off the gas. We needed our HVAC evaluated as the potential cause of the leak. We called Holders on a Saturday, and explained the situation to their dispatcher, who asked for the situation to be repeated again. She then called back to ask exactly what the situation was. They dispatched an employee to our home. On arrival, he notified us that he was not able to evaluate the HVAC system if the gas was turned off. He then said he did not feel it was appropriate to charge us for service, since he didn’t provide any service. But that it wasn’t his decision to make. He attempted to call the service department manager with no success as it was a Saturday. We paid the $150 service fee, despite the tech not performing any service in our home. When we called holders today, and spoke with Cayla, the service manager, she informed us that the dispatcher didn’t document that the gas was turned off, so they would not refund the $150. Terrible customer service, on top of incompetent employees. Don’t use them for service.

I started to get quotes and was fortunate to come across Holders air conditioning and heating. They are a licensed contractor. They are extremely reactive along with the best customer service I've seen in a while. The gentleman helping me with my unit selecting and financing also stayed late an evening to finish my application and get my AC instillation booked immediately. They saved me about $6,000 dollars. I'm very impressed with this company. The salesman, Ryan, explained everything thoroughly and made sugesstions for which options he thought would worked best for me. The installer, Doug, went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this company. They quickly responsed to any concerns or questions I had. I am really enjoying my A.C. unit in this heat.

It took about four visits to get everything done. We started with replacing one capacitor, and then had to replace the compressor. After that, we had to replace a few more parts. I now have the number of their tech, who has been very good at explaining the repairs and making sure I get on the schedule ASAP. Since my A/C unit is about nine years old, I gambled on having the repairs done instead of replacing the whole unit.

I secured several bids from different contractors. I went with Holders based on references, price, and the quality of the Rheem units. The installation went very smoothly with no issues and the units have worked flawlessly since. Holder's took care of all the detailed including the duct leak test. I was very satisfied with the entire process.

My experiences with Holders Air Conditioning and Htg were real excellent. It was just a heating repair. The service person who came out was excellent. He gave me a lot of information. They're an older company and well established. I didn't have a big problem. I had a small problem, but they came out and explained things and fixed it. I was happy with their service and work. The price was reasonable. They did a satisfactory job. They are on the high side of satisfactory. They're high in intelligence, by recognizing the problem, explaining the problem and fixing the problem. I had never done business with them before this, although I've known them to be around for a long time. I think their price was well worth it, because of the knowledge of the service person and the information he provided, as well as getting to my house on time and providing the service.
