Ken, listen to what I was wanting done and designed a wonderful kitchen for me. Went to all stores with me so that I understood what I was getting, ie cabinets, granite, flooring and ect. He also made sure I did not go over budget.

To sum up it up: Ken was the epitome of a great contractor. He was more than willing to give us multiple options on our bid (freestanding vs sunken tub, tile vs linoleum) and didn't make us feel bad for having a budget. He was great to work with. He was able to take what we wanted and make it work instead of just saying and quot;noand quot; and even if we changed our minds, he maintained the same cheerful and hardworking attitude. When we ran into snags, he took it upon himself to come up with creative and very eye-catching solutions. I am amazed at how clean they kept our bathroom, house, and patio as they did the job, which required major demolition! Everything was precisely measured, methodical, and our bathroom turned out beautiful. He was very accommodating and I cannot recommend him highly enough! Unlike some contractors, I trust Ken and his team to be in and around our home while we're gone and know he's not going to cheat on his prices. Hire him!!!! I also have to say that he accommodated our active 6 month old lab puppy who loved to steal tools, gloves, parts, etc from them throughout the whole job! All around nice guys. Just look at the before and after pictures, you'll see the kind of work they do!

Our shower pan in our in our master bathroom had failed leaking water into the wall. Called Ken for a quote; Ken responded promptly. Due to nature of this repair this job was ultimately a complete remodel of a 6’ X 5’ shower. Through the whole process Ken a pleasure to work with. Ken said he would complete the job within a certain amount of time and he did. When I changed my mind on things I wanted done, or added items Ken was very accommodating. We decided to add shower lighting, change the shower plumbing and add a rain-head that was mounted in the ceiling. During the remodel Ken and Ed paid attention to detail and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything. They also kept the place pretty clean, considering that there were two exterior walls that had to be opened up and reframed due to water damage. When everything was finished I was extremely satisfied and felt like Ken was an old friend. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Ken and Ed arrived punctaully and completed the work with no delays. They handled the demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and tile setting knowledgably and professionally. They were easy to work with and a pleasure to have around. The price was fair and reasonable and I am well satisfied with the outcome. I plan to use Great Scott again in the future.

I just closed escrow on a single family home on Friday and wanted to start paint and repairs on Monday so that the property would be tenant-ready ASAP. I got 2 bids: 1) The realtor's recommended contractor; and 2) Great Scott Builders aka Ken Scott. Great Scott's estimate was about 30% less than the other person; also Ken had done a small $400 job at my home several months before in which the work was top notch. In both cases, he started on time, finished early, and came in exactly on budget. He's detailed in his written proposal, his work, and level of communication. Ken uses his keen esthetic view when needed. He and his long-time associate Ed are a good team, friendly, very accommodating, and experienced. When I mentioned that I didn't know he could fix sprinklers too, he said that anything to do with a house inside or out... he can do it! And I have every reason to believe him. This is not a fake review. First time I learned of Great Scott was on Angie's List, so now I'm a believer in Angie's List too. Definitely I'll call on Ken again and hope that he's available.

I like the fact that he's efficient, reliable, honest, and does good work. He does a good job cleaning up and is tidy in his work. He is also a pleasant person to be around.

The owner basically does it all. He did an excellent job and I couldn't speak highly enough of the work he does. He also did my kitchen three years ago. I appreciate how courteous he is and that he cleans up every night before he leaves. He was just outstanding. He goes out of his way to be thorough in his workmanship and do the best possible job that he can. It is not the cheapest, but definitely the value for your dollar. When I had family coming into town, he stayed late a few nights to finish things up so we had a functional second bathroom.
