Called and had a quote done for tree trimming. Was quoted $800. When the trimmers showed up to do the job they made up an excuse that they had an emergency job to go do and said office would call back to reschedule. They called ten minutes after they left to tell us that the estimator far under bid the job and that it would be $1700 instead of the quoted $800. And that the guy who bid it no longer worked for them. Wow, instead of being honest when they left , they lied and then wouldn't even honor their quote or even a discount for their error and wasting our time waiting for them to show up

This tree had more cut off than I would have wanted, but it may have been because there wasn't much they could have done, since PGE had already mutilated it.

General Tree did a great job! They were communicative and punctual. Would definitely recommend them.

We needed trees trimmed on a property we own that is not in the city where we live. I found General Tree on Angie's List and they were very responsive and professional. Work was done on schedule at a competitive price.

The workers arrived on time. They worked hard and fast. They took great care with my yard and the neighbor's yards. They cleaned up thoroughly. You could tell they knew how a tree should be pruned. It wasn't a hack job like I have seen before. The trees were shaped perfectly. I couldn't be happier. And all for a great price.

It was a very good experience. I called on Saturday, they called back on Monday. They came out a couple hours later and gave an estimate that we were pleased with. They said they could do them all in one day, which in the past with other companies it has taken at least 2 days. They brought extra crews out here and got everything done as promised. We were very pleased with them.

The group arrived early and got right to work. They were professional and kind. Three of the trees were orange trees and they took time to pick some fruit for me. The trimming was done efficiently and the trees look fantastic. My yard looks great too because they cleaned it all up. I will use them again without hesitation.

They were late, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Then they had to eat lunch. They guy who gave me the quote said they would be here for a couple hours. We then had some problems foremen, but one call to Conrad quickly took care of everything. I would use them again, and I was satisfied.

General Tree Service is such a professional operation. You don't even need to be on the property to supervise. They know exactly what to do and they get right to work. The mulberry tree was trimmed. All the dead brush and weeds were removed. They cleared all the vegetation and combustibles away from the structures They cleaned and hauled away all the debris. They are so dependable. I don't know what we would do without them. They have a website ( www.generaltreeserviceinc.com) that is very helpful as well as informative. I can recommend Gerneral Tree Service highly. We wouldn't use anyone else.

The experience was good. They trimmed up a little bit shorter. Overall their knowledge and the arborist were good. I would recommend them. I called them and they came right back and took care of my issues.

The job went excellent, fine. The showed up on time, actually showed up early, got work and removed a very large, 50 foot, liquid amber tree in about 2 hours. They were very efficient. They are probably the best tree service company in Bakersfield.

They had 5 guys and the tree was down in less than two hours. It took about 2 for the grinding and clean up. They did a great job.

I was impressed with him. He was a little bit higher than my other bid, but I think it was right on the mark. He came when he said he would. I'd give them a B overall, just because I didn't actually see their work.

They're excellent. They're the only ones I've ever found to have a licensed arborist. Many contractors butcher trees, but they truly know how to shape the trees and they always clean up after themselves. I was really happy with them.

The work was professional. I was disappointed that there was a delay of several days after the trees were removed before the stumps were ground up. Clean up after the job was excellent. Overall I am very satisfied and would use this company again.

They were always early-once a day early! It was 'moving day' for me. I arrived with my moving truck to find logs in my front yard. (WOW!) One time they cracked some (faux) stones in my wall but they were taking down very tall trees in a small space--between my house and pool. Last time they arrived a day early and 3 trees disappeared!!

I went with them because they are certified arborists. They were more expensive, but I am dealing with 30 year old trees so a couple of hundred dollars didn't make a lot of difference when it meant quality and assurance. They did a fair amount of work in a timely and efficient manner. I would absolutely use them again in the future.
