Dish Network

The gentleman from DISH showed up at the designated time and after looking at the house and verifying exactly what we wanted he gave me an estimated time to of completion of 4 hours. He set to work and this was in the evening so it got dark after about an hour. He had a light but I felt bad for him so I ran him a cord with a spot light to help out. He was very appreciative. Whenever he encountered a situation such as to having to drill a hole in the wall, roof or stucco he made sure to ask my permission which I thought this was very nice as I have never had any one before be concerned about how I may feel about what they were doing to my home they just did it. I think the darkness slowed him down a little but after 5 hours he needed to check the connections but we didn't have the TV's in the rooms they were still in the garage from the move. He actually carried them in the house for my daughter and I and two of them were the older large heavy ones. Wow how nice was that. He showed us how everything worked answered all our questions and cleaned up after himself. He ended up bein there about 6 to 6 1/2 hours. Long past the time he was due to be off work but he was not upset and took his time to make sure were were happy with the job and understood the system. We were truely impressed. I wish there were more employees like him these days. We sent a nice letter to DISH regarding his service.

I hate them. They don't seem to know what they are doing. I just use the cable. When I moved from my other house, I had been told that if I were to move to just call them and they would take care of it. First of all when I called them to tell them I was moving, the first place I called was someplace where they could barely speak English and they said it was going to be $100.00 When I called back and spoke to a supervisor she said that I would get a discount of $50 off of the $75 I would be charged. I figured it was a lets make a deal with whoever you get on the phone with and they set their own fees. When I said, that's not what I was told, I was told it would be free and she started arguing with me. I told her I didn't want the cable and then she said it would be free. When I called to do the move, I got someone back on the island and they wanted to charge me $25. I was so upset and they kept wanting to charge me different fees. When I moved I only needed 1 receiver not 2. They sent a repairman and he came out to get it and the service man said they should have sent a box to send it back instead of sending him and he would get a bad mark on his service record. So, he said that he would just disable it. He did, but I am still being charged for it. Every time they came, including when I got a new tv and the receiver wouldn't accept it, they told me it would be a $15 charge. It took him 5 hours with no phone call they were going to be late. They know that you can't get cable so you are stuck with them. After the first year, they are going to raise my rates.

They were real good about hooking everything up. I already had dish at a different address so they didn't charge anything to switch it over. They just came out and hooked up the cable. I have my normal monthly bill. The guy that came out was very good about hooking it up. He went up in the attic and hooked the wires up in there.
