Description of Work: I have used several other roofing companies in the past and I must say by far that BSW's customer service was the best.from the owners down. I was treated exceptional. They listened to what I asked for and made sure it was done and done correctly. Not only did they re-roof our current home but they installed solar attic fans and sky tunnels. Beautiful job. They were very neat as well. When they were done you could not tell they had ever been here. Other than we have a beautiful new tile roof and sky tunnels. I must admit I was hesitant about such a big company that I wouldn't get personal service. Boy totally the opposite! I see now why they have been in business for so long. I must give a shout out to Jerry who was the project manager, Ron who organizes the crews and Martin who installed my sky tunnels among other things. They were exceptional! Thank you BSW.

Description of Work: Our home was reroofed recently. The work was excellent, our sales person Jerry took care of every detail and more. The employees' who worked on the roof were experienced, not contracted out for the day. I cannot express how pleased we are with the completed job. BSW has lived up to their outstanding reputation. Description of Work: I had a broken piece of tile on my roof that I wanted replaced and the roof inspected for damage. After numerous unreturned phone calls and excuses for that we finally set a date to meet. The estimator came out and started making comments about "crickets." By the time he was done quoting the work he wanted to have perform the quoted amount was over $1150.00. He wanted over $450 just to replace the tile I wanted done and a couple more he found. | |I called another provider and got the work done and more for $150.00.

Description of Work: I was very impressed with all aspects of the re-roofing process, from the initial visit/quote, to the actual re-roofing itself. The only hiccup was the initial start date. I was told Monday, 1/19/15 but apparently the job was rescheduled to Tuesday, 1/20/15 and the scheduler did not advise the salesperson (so that they could notify me). I immediately contacted the salesperson and he researched what happened. He has since advised that they have changed their practices so that only the scheduler is in contact with the client regarding job start times. That way, if he has to reschedule something, he will make the necessary calls and the salesperson doesn't have to be a middle-man. I wish there were an A- option on the punctuality. I hope that I never have to use this company again (only because I believe the roof will outlive my presence in the house). The salesman invited me to contact him ANYTIME that I have questions - even now that the job is complete. That reassures me tremendously. I will definitely recommend BSW to others.

+ -1 moreBSW came in with the best price of several roofing contractors I contacted. They put on the roof and cleaned up the mess fairly well. However, the roof leaked terribly in one spot, more so than the old roof. When I contacted them to come out and look at it, they told me they could not make it out for at least ten days. I simply could not wait that long because a storm was coming, so I had to hire another roofer to fix the one area that was leaking. When BSW finally did come out, they claimed that they were not responsible for the area that leaked and the subsequent damage to my ceiling and walls, which I had to pay for out of my own pocket. The person who came out to look at it gave me a totally nonsensical reason as to why the roof leaked and they did nothing to follow up. BSW had a high rating with the BBB and also had excellent references so my experience with them may have been unusual. Although the roof was otherwise well done, the fact that they did not respond within a reasonable period of time and that they did nothing regarding the resulting damage leads me to recommend that you carefully consider other contractors when in the market to purchase a new roof.
Description of Work: I hired BSW to put a new 30 year composite roof on my 1800 square foot house.

+ -1 moreThere were several houses who had their roof replaced which got us thinking about it. We got our roof replaced in less than a week an excellent job all away around. It was extremely professional. The only think I can say is they are extremely busy and they have been in business for 75 years if that tells you anything because they are very busy it may take them a little time to come and do an estimate but once they get on the job they are efficient.
Description of Work: We just had the roof replace and we used BSW Roofing Contractors.

+ -1 moreDuring rainstorms this Spring the guest house where my daughter lives began to have mysterious seeping on the walls. BSW came out and determined that the flat roof was deteriorating and the roof needed to be replaced. The estimate was for $3885. but any deteriorated wood that was found on removal of the old roof was to be extra (at a price noted on the estimate per foot. They worked quickly and finished all but the final coating required by city code and needed to be applied after all had dried out. They came back about a week later and applied it. They were courteous and careful of my plants. The only thing that happened that was less than excellent was that the dust and particles from removing the roof sifted into my daughter's thing inside, but since she was at work, we didn't know until that evening. They were very apologetic and said they had no idea this was happening. I used them 3 years ago on my main house and was thoroughly happy with the work and would use them again.
Description of Work: Remove and recover of complete flat guest house using 20 year 4-ply built-up roofing system using all fiberglass materials. Replace rotten or broken sheathing boards for $35 a sheet extra determined by removing old roof.
