About us

Automotive Radiator Service, based in Bakersfield, CA, opened its doors in 1951 under the ownership of Jim Bratcher. While originally located on Golden State Highway, our current location is at 2416 Oak Street (downtown Bakersfield). Although our company has grown considerably over the years, the business has still been kept under the same local family ownership. We offer a wide variety of high quality services: private party/consumer vehicle cooling and heating system sales and service; Industrial cooling services (energy, trucking, etc.); a complete selection of the highest quality aftermarket radiators, heater cores, charge-air coolers, and A/C condensers along with a number of many other related products, as well as other services- such as: parts cleaning/testing and welding to name a few. We take great pride in our continued quality control and customer service.
