Difficult but great

My roof HVAC system stopped working on the hottest day of the year - 111F! After trying to figure out the problem myself and having two nights of 86F+ overnight temperatures, I searched online for a repair company. All Climate Repair seemed to have the most professional web site, a BBB rating, and they took credit card payment; so I decided to call. I called at 7:30 a.m. and was told that someone could be out between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Given that we were in the midst of a heat wave, I was happy to get same-day service. I requested a call on my cell 40 minutes prior to when the repair man could be at my home. The repair tech, Sean, called my cell at 1:30 p.m. I told him that I would meet him at my house in 40-45 minutes. He showed up about 55 minutes later. I decribed the problem (A/C unit went on, but the fan did not run). He told me that he had done three similar repairs in the past two days. It took him and his partner about 15 minutes to determine what was wrong. He had the replacement part needed in his truck. When he finished the repair, he asked for a garden hose to clean the intake filter. The entire job took less than an hour. My A/C now works better than than it has in years.

In May, 2008 we priced a moderate unit and decided to purchase it from All Climate. To our surprise and delight, instead of having to order the lower priced unit we picked, they offered a superior quality unit that they had in stock, for the same price. Nice! Prompt installation, easy financing. However, follow up seems to have slipped. We were promised a case of filters and one (1) month later I called to ask for them because they didn't bring them. Two (2) months goes buy and we received a call that the initial duct testing was incomplete or not done correctly so they needed to redo the test. Finally got an appointment for the City inspector to sign off the permit. We can not get our (promised) $600 PGand E rebate without it. Inspector came and left a note that the ladder left by the company for him to get up on the roof was not safe enough to use. One (1) week later I get a call wondering if the inspector had been there. I read the information left by the inspector and they exchanged the ladder with a call for another inspection almost 2 months later. Now we are into September. Inspection finally complete, we are still waiting to hear when we should received our $600 rebate. Customer Service was always polite but not much help getting the situation settled and finalized. Which leaves me torn as to whether or not I would use them again.
