5/29/2012 I contacted Action Glass in late March 2012 to replace a broken window at my home. They sent out an employee to access the damage and he gave me a price. I agreed to what I thought was a fair price, I didn?t get any other bids because I had used Action Glass prior to this situation. Action Glass asked for ½ of the agreed price before they would order the materials needed. I agreed and took a check that same day. I was told that the glass would take about two weeks and that they would contact me and arrange for the installation. Two weeks passed and I called, they said they had made a mistake and would need more measurements. I had to arrange to have someone at home because they needed to see a model number that was on the inside of the window. Anthony from Action Glass came out took the new information and told me it would be another couple of weeks. Two weeks passed and I once again called to see what the new delay was. Anthony told me they had made a mistake in their pricing, but that was their fault not mine and the material had been ordered. About two weeks passed and I called Anthony again, he informed me that Action Glass would not be able to install the glass at the quoted price. I tried to negotiate, I offered to pay for the glass if they paid for the labor. I was willing to meet them in what I thought was the middle. Since it now was going on about month and a half since my first call. They declined, so I asked for my money back. After not receiving the money I called again and asked to talk to the owner Jim Brown. I told Mr. Brown my dilemma and offered my solution once again. He was aware of the situation and offered no relief or discount. He said he would put my check in the mail that day, it has been 2 months since my initial call and I still have not received my good faith payment. If Action Glass treats past customers in this manner, I can only imagine how their new customers will be treated. As a local businessman myself, I am very disappointed in Action Glass?s business practices and the way I was treated. Ernie Montoya
