South Placer Heating and Air

It has been a nightmare trying to deal with South Placer Heating & Air. Our AC unit has been broken for over two weeks and under contract with this company for diagnosis and repair (through a home warranty company). We have been scheduled twice now, taking time off work both dates awaiting a repair tech that never showed or had the basic courtesy to inform us they were running late/cancelled. The first time we were scheduled, we had to call two hours before the end of the window for repairs and only then found out the person was running late from the dispatcher, but promised they would get to us. They never showed up. We called the next day to reschedule an appointment to see what was wrong with the AC unit. They gave us a date a week out. Ok, I understand they're busy in the middle of summer, but why are we sent to the back of the line because they didn't follow the schedule *they* set up? Here we are, a week later, waiting for the repair technician, roughly an hour before the end of the our window and have had no contact from the dispatch agents or repair tech. Currently we have been on hold for close to an hour waiting to speak to an agent to get an update. The best part? Their office closes in 5 minutes and they've let us stay on hold until their offices close to *intentionally* avoid communication. Do not use South Placer Heating & Air unless you are unfortunately forced to due to third party contracting.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT USE. This company is a scam. I did not use them for home warranty purposes, I paid out of pocket. They charged me a service fee to come out to my home and "diagnose" a problem, that I already had diagnosed myself...basically there wasn't enough airflow to a bedroom, which was the whole reason I called them. They never provided me a quote to fix it, which is again the whole reason I called them, and just never contacted me again. I requested a refund for the $89 service fee and they refused to give it to me since they supposedly diagnosed the problem. Worse, I left several messages to the supervisor, who has not called me back (this has been going on for a month) and their customer service agent just hung up on me (I have been courteous in ever intent). Just save your time and go with someone with better ratings.

BEWARE!!! I knew this company was ripping me off from the first visit but a warranty company was involved so I didn't get to pick them. They said my compressor was bad and charged me $330 for a permit to replace it and charges me $220 to dispose of the compressor which is half the size of a shoe box. That didn't work and then they decided I needed a new unit. I was charged another $330 for a new permit which seemed unreasonable. I called the county and was told permits are $130. I said I would get my own permit and was told they would not replace it unless they pulled the permit. I reluctantly paid it and later found out they never got a permit to replace the unit. They stole my money and would not return my calls.

This was the worst service ever they came to my house it was a rental at 12 o’clock noon and didn’t leave till seven still did not finish the work couldn’t finish the work left all kind of screws everywhere things all apart then get back to the office the office charge me $2700 and they did not show up the next day to finish I would never hire them again.

I been down for over a month now because their technicians could not fix it the first time or the second time. They now say it’s the compressor but they can’t get to if for weeks, this after they had two call backs. And since they are aware that we have a one month old baby in the house with the temperature now over 100. This is the worse company I have ever worked with. And I worn other consumers about this company.

This Company literally SUCKS..They never show up on the time that they say, infact they didnt show up AT ALL 2 times to do an easy install..Unfortunately i got them through my home warranty, so if they do a no show again next appointment, i promised myself to expose them the BEST i can and i will contact whatever authority i can and maximize my effort to save other people from South placer heating and air"s LIES and incompetence of unworthy technicians..These guys have NO RESPECT for customers and their times and they are Zero quality, bogus company..

I had an appointment today, initially between 10-4pm. I received a call early morning, informing me the tech would arrive after 4 pm. I informed my tenant the appointment time was pushed forward. Then, I received a phone call at 2 pm from the tech claimed in the message he left, he was 10 mins away. 🤨 I missed the call and he called from a restricted number so I couldn't call back, so I called the office. The dispatcher informed me he was already at the property, he knocked and no one answered so they have to reschedule for another day. Hey, now my tenant is out of work for another day, but hey who cares right. 🤷🏾♂️ Pretty dysfunctional start, hopefully this doesn't persist.

Very professional & the customer service was outstanding. My H&A was about 25+ years old & has been serviced multiple times in the last 5 years (since I'd moved in). It didn't surprise me that it was at the end of it's life. I was presented with three options, but since I'm going to live here for years it was worth investigating in the highest efficiency units. It's going to be installed Friday (2 days from today) & everything is going to go smoothly I can feel it. 4/3/20 My H&A units were installed today. Everything went perfectly. A really professional job. I want to thank Conner, Tito, Jesus, & Dylan for the great job they did & I'm sorry if I misspelled any of your names. Can't thank you enough South Placer Heating & Air. And an extra shout out to the inspector, Ray from Ricalagy Energy Solutions. Thank you all!

Stephen was great he explained everything to me and got my heater fixed And I can feel the heat now, thanks.

Steve came early, checked and diagnosed problem and recommended the solution.

OK my heater stopped working and Stephen came by to go look at it he went up in the attic think he was over there for almost an hour finally but he does he's walking back again not an actual diagnosis what's going on with the system basically rebooting a couple times according to him the system is working was suggested that this happens again I can try the main power off and on and hopefully it works but I would really like off this thing cannot happen

To be honest their front end staff is useless. I have never talked to the most incompetent people in my life. My AC unit has been down for 5 weeks and these guys cause most of the delays. I called them about 4 times to check on the status of my new blade. The basically forgot to order it delaying AC for another week. The only reason I'm using these tools is because of the house insurance. Never again

June 20th review on Yelp Currently... I'm not happy with their customer service. I have a home warranty through American Home Shield and they requested service from this company. I've tried contacting them for 2 days with no response. If their customer service is any sign of the work done by this company, I'll pass. My A/C has been out sense Friday and it has been 100 plus degrees outside. I'm extremely agitated. July 12th review on Yelp This is my second review. I received service through this company less than a month ago. The first time I was very frustrated with the lack of communication and customer service. When they came out to fix the problem the first time, it was an easy fix. Basically, the capacitor needed to be replace. However, we told the technician that the air was not blowing well and it makes a weird noise in our attic. The technician didn't take our concern for face value and didn't seem convinced. NOW... 20 days later our AC is out again. Remember that noise in the attic and the air not blowing well... it's now our AC blower wheel!!!! Whatever you do... choose another company. BTW, I'm not a disgruntled reviewer. I'm typically pretty chill. However, with service like this... I have to inform!!!

Furnace had no rust. Furnace was disabled to appear to not work by placing extra parts on that would not let it come on.The thermostat was ruined ($250 to replace). I learned all that from the second and third opinion companies. They cleaned off a few things, and it worked fine. The company goes by two names, so they have twice as many chances to get your business. Dont use either.
