Description of Work: From the initial telephone call to request a roofing estimate, the entire crew at Specialty Roofing were superb! Specialty Roofing was the first of the three roofing contractors I contacted to schedule an Estimate appointment, and the only one to arrive punctually for it. Greg Dyck inspected and assessed the roof thoroughly, was absolutely confident in his company's ability to correct a perennially-leaking, low slope porch extension, and he handed me a formal estimate within twenty minutes. The other two roofing companies I was considering were slower to respond and both failed to show for their scheduled appointments. Days later both of them left a business card or hand-written estimate on my front porch - both estimates being more than 40% higher. All three roofers expected to be able to schedule my roof within 60-90 days, but Specialty Roofing is the only one checked in with me at the one month interval. A cancellation in Specialty Roofing's schedule allowed my roof sooner than expected, starting at 7 a.m. the following Monday. Indeed the first worker did arrive shortly before 7, alert and cordial but already focusing on the roof. A total crew of four was under way by 7:30, with their equipment and vehicles positioned and parked unobtrusively. What the foreman expected would take 2 1/2 days ended up taking 3 1/2 because of extensive infrastructural repairs needed on the low-slope section, as well as several other minor defects in my 35-year-old roof. However, the foreman conferred with me in detail about upgrading the porch section, and the final result there and on the main roof is beautiful and watertight! Also, the additional unknown expense of rectifying the porch's deficiencies added only 14% to the original baseline figure; the final cost was still more than $2,000 UNDER the baseline estimates of the other two roofing companies!
