The work was done, but there was no clean-up done afterwards and we had to have our own gardener do that because Mr. Hughes did not return on the date he had said he would in order to take care of it. Mr. Hughes' attitude was somewhat aggressive and there was a surprising amount of bad language used while he was working on the job, which was certainly disturbing, both to us and to our next door neighbor who also overheard that language. I do not know if this is his normal behavior, as I understand that he had very recently suffered the loss of a close family member. This may have affected his behavior on this occasion, but I would not feel comfortable having him do work in our home again.
Description of Work: We requested Hughes plastering to apply new stucco to two areas in the house.

Kevin was fired due to him cursing my good neighbor for having been asked to relocate the truck that was blocking his driveway. He was on the street, in the open using profanity against the neighbor and myself. The stucco job he performed for us had a cold joint streak in the middle of the wall, as well as pinholes, discoloration and a brushed finish. The job will have to be redone, but will now cost more due to the finish needing to be sanded. Kevin also left plaster footprints on my sidewalk and in the street that I have had to clean up myself with a pressure washer. I asked him for a bill showing material and labor, but was given a total. The bill reflected $800, we held out 20 for having to clean the street and sidewalk. The redo will cost significantly more due to the wrong finish being applied (and poorly at that)!
Description of Work: Kevin was hired to refinish 2 very small interior stucco rooms in a "Mission finish", and to patch a few small spots on the exterior of the house. This included the eaves in the formerly open to the outside rooms. We agreed on $1100 for all the work.
