Description of Work: My washing machine door would not unlock and kept flashing error messages. Coulton's came out the next day and fixed it within 30 min.

Description of Work: We have already supplied a very long history of our terrible experience with this applicane repair shop, and have answered your telephone solicitors, Angie, who have continued to ask our opinion. I have referred them to our original report. I hope that you kept the report, since I took a long time to write it, trying to be completely factual and fair. In any event, since you continue to solicit our opinion on Coulton's Appliance Repair, we hope to help others avoid the unprofessional and lousy experience of having that shop try to diagnose and repair their products. We had a SubZero 82" refrigerator, tried to diagnose, purchased a GE Profile 82" new refrigerator and it was installed, but leaked due to manufacturing defects. All of our household connections and causes of leaks were vetted and it is definitely the refrigerator. Since this fridge was under warranty, and is too big to move easily, this company did not want to bother with spending much energy or manpower to fix it, instead they made as many visits as they had to, reaping further fees from the manufacturer each time, only to brush us off with what might be wrong with the refrigerator. We tried 3 or 4 visits, then THEY rudely told us (manager on the phone) that the money wasn't worth the effort, so we had to discontinue using their services. Since we live in a somewhat remote area, and they are about the only appliance servicing around, this put us in an extremely difficult situation. If GE weren't such a big company, we would try to get them to help us, but that is a circular path, as well. Anyway, we want to warn others that Coulton's Appliance Repair may have a nice technician, but when it comes to diagnosing and actually fixing a problem, their technical knowledge is abysmal, and their management's attitude is aggressively rude.

Description of Work: Service call ($89) was more expensive than others, but with a $20 off coupon it averaged out. HOWEVER, could not use the coupon because I did not purchase a product resulting from the service call. Watch out for the small type on coupons. Service man was very young but top-rate (didn't get his name), and determined the probable cause right away, although he only gave me two options, replace the compressor starter switch ($200, available online for $30-$55) or replace the compressor ($500, not in stock, online $120-$163). BUT I'd already spent $89 and two hours off work, and so I said thank you but no, thanks.

Description of Work: The repairman from Coulton's Appliance Service (Lucas) replaced the large rubber door bellows on our front load Whirlpool clothes washer.
