 + -1 moreI worked with the Arroyo Grande store of Ruffoni's. Delivery date was delayed twice but the only way I knew about it was by following up a week past the promised dates. No communication from Ruffoni's about the delays. Delivery/ installer was early and did not call ahead so we were not prepared for him. He did not introduce himself and was very unsafe almost breaking an overhead fixture. He seemed to be in a hurry. Also, he did not clean up after installation leaving a mess for me to clean up. Price was comparable to Adler's and Home Depot and product works as expected. I was looking to support local small business by choosing to work with Ruffoni's but will not use them again or recommend them to others.

Description of Work: I bought new refrigerator from Home Depot came with free delivery. Company would not lift machine over counter. So much for free delivery. Contacted ruffonis to install. Showed up on time and had no problem lifting refrigerator over counter. Installation took about 20 minutes. Fast and friendly people.

 + -1 moreThey were very polite and did extra work on the installation such as removing some trim and moving the 220 outlet from the dryer to the kitchen so I could have an electric stove. The did this at no extra charge after buying the appliances
Description of Work: Sold and installed a new dishwasher, garbage disposal,electric range, refrigerator.washer and dryer.

 + -1 moreRepaired our refrigerator after another attempt had been made by a rep. from a different company that was recommended by manufacturer, That person worked on it and did as much or more harm than good. Did not seem to know what parts could be tugged on to pulll the fridg.(on rollers) away from the wall and tugged on breakable inside plastic parts to move it. Also, did not repair the problem, Rufonis fixed by Rufonni's with no trouble.
Description of Work: Replaced one difficult to find part and adjusted the door to make it air tight. That fixed it just fine. We have also used them for appliance installation (and sometimes purchase) and never been unhappy except that they may have difficulty getting parts on some occasions. We had them install our latest diswasher, refrigerator and microwave. Purchased the refrigerator from them.

 + 0 moreLooking back at the several repair visits, we believe that Ruffoni's was replacing the wrong parts. At the end of our dealings, they wanted to repair another part at a cost of $340.00 more. At that time we gave up on them as incompetent.
Description of Work: From May 2011 through June 2012 we spent a total of $853.00 to repair our LG washer. The repairs never lasted very long and Ruffoni's would not honor their 1 year guarantee. Ruffoni's promised us a big discount on a new Maytag washer, but we found better prices at Best Buy. Will not deal with Ruffini's again.

Description of Work: Purchased a refrigerator. This is my 3rd appliance from them. I am sure I could go to Sears and maybe find it a little cheaper, but they delivered within 3 hours. THey got here, and there was a problem getting it up the stairs of my tri level home.They had to take it through a narrow side yard and up a narrow stair case with twists and across a deck, it did not fit through the door, they had to take the screen and door off, the refrigerator stuck out into the kitchen too far, so they removed some plumbing, and moved it for me for only $29.00. They were cheerful through this entire difficult process and did not charge me for all of these difficult things. I cannot immage if a box store had been faced with these challenges. We have always been happy with how quickly they handle things, and how professional the delivery and instillation people are. You get what you pay for.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreWe had requested an afternoon installation schedule on two phone calls and thought that it was understood. Then were given a morning installation schedule because "another customer in your area requested morning". We had to cancel our planned outing with a group. The total cost was $175 more than we had anticipated. The costs that we were quoted did not include any discussion about additional parts and cost requirements. We had asked if the installers would have a circulating pump so that we could discuss the benefits of this device with the plumbers and have one installed if we chose. We were told that they would have the pump on their truck, they did not.
Description of Work: Installation of a water heater. Ruffino's is the contract installer for water heaters purchased at Sears in San Luis Obispo.
