Badly. No contract provided. Contractor asked for more money than allowed prior to starting the project so he could pay the cement company. Workers didn't install rebar-contractor said it wasn't needed as there were stabilizers in the cement. Ha! Contractor said he would be here during project, but only showed up near the end of cement pouring when he got in to a loud verbal argument w/cement company about paying them-very foul language used, didn't appreciate that. When the workers left, no info was provided on if there was more work to be done or care of cement pad. The project was done on the Fri prior to Mem. Day. A coating of dust appeared on the pad & the wind blew it all over our yard and neighbors-attempts to contact contractor failed. Contractor finally called and came over to seal the cement after the holiday. Told him we were not happy with the project, the color used didn't match the picture we had selected & lack of rebar a concern. Contractor said he had gone 'by memory' on the color and 'don't pay me the rest, but you owe the cement company and they will put a lien on your house' What??!! We paid extra so you could pay the cement people. Contractor also offered to come back and repair if cement failed due to lack of rebar. As if we wanted him on our property again. We learned a lot: have a contract, don't pay a deposit of more than 10% and if necessary, go to the state contractors board. Fortunately Mr. Teniente was licensed and the board was able to mediate a resolution. I had looked here for a review on Cemtek prior to project start also Yelp but didn't find anything. Searched Yelp a bit more after the fact and found a damning review over in the Valley area. Wish we had known.
Description of Work: Hired Mr. Teniente to pour a concrete slab in our back yard, with a stamped design and color.
