I called Peterson Garage Door Company after reading all the positive reviews here. I was concerned that my garage door which hasn't been maintained since it was installed over 10 years ago, was opening a bit more slowly than usual. I called around 11am and Erick Peterson, the owner of the company, answered my call. He was professional and gave me a price quote of $40 for an inspection / maintenance visit, but also was upfront about a $75 service charge instead of the routine $40 if actual repairs or service was needed. We scheduled a same day appointment and he arrived right on time. He and an assistant thoroughly inspected the springs, the opener, the drive belt, and the door itself. He also took the time to check the different tensions and explained how my door was in good working condition. He ended up just charging $40 and completed the maintenance in about 30 minutes. He even checked the tightness of the mount bolts! He was courteous, thorough, and professional throughout the entire visit. I would definitely recommend Peterson Garage Door Company.

We placed a call late Friday night and very soon after got confirmation that Eric could come out and look at our garage door between 11 am and 1 pm the next day, Saturday. At 11:15 I got a call that he was 15 minutes from getting to our house. When he arrived he fixed the problem in 20 minutes (replaced a worn out part on the automatic garage door opener). He was extremely professional and responsive. One of the best service providers I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.

I called Peterson Garage Doors yesterday afternoon. The person who answered the phone was very professional and we made a tentative appointment for today (she was not sure that Eric would be available and I had a previous appointment scheduled). I called this morning and we worked out a time for Eric to come after 3pm. He arrived and replaced the broken part, lubricated the door and reset the door opener. The door is much quieter and runs quite smoothly. Very good experience.

Eric came out and looked at the unit. While the unit is almost fifteen years old, he told us that it was not a bad unit and that he felt there was more life to it. Instead of selling us a new unit, he fixed what we had for a fraction of the price. He replaced two small parts and explained what was wrong with them. He also gave us some advice on how to better maintain the opener and he also reprogrammed the remote opener that was outside, at no extra charge. Now the door works great, and it runs very quietly. I would recommend Eric and Peterson Garage Doors to anyone who needs work on their garage door. He is honest and does quality work at a fair price.

I called to see if someone could come out to repair our garage door because it was not closing. It kept getting stuck and the wire that rolls up the door on one side of it came off. I was put on hold momentarily and then I was quoted $75 for the visit not including any parts or labor. I was told that Eric would be there in 15 minutes. HE WAS THERE IN 15 MINUTES. He came with someone else (sorry, I forgot his name) and they found the problem and began to work. Not only did they repair the door, but they went above and beyond. They explained what they were doing and they took the time to troubleshoot anything else. We ended up purchasing another remote, which they programmed and reset. THey noticed we didn't have lightbulbs on the garage door unit, so they replaced them for us and they even repairs the rubber part of the bottom of the door. I HIGHLY recommend them.

I called Peterson Garage Door when my garage door mechanism began making noises. Eric came out the next day and determined lubrication and adjustment was all that was needed. He was friendly, professional, and reduced his normal service charge (without being asked) because the job turned-out to be fairly simple and was completed quickly.

Called for an estimate, and the price was good. Eric arrived on time, and took some measurements. Since our garage door was oversized at 8 feet tall, we needed oversized springs, which upped the estimate a bit. He came back the next day, and within 45 minutes, the job was done. My brother-in-law and I were on hand throughout, and Eric was good about answering all our questions. (We had thought to do the job ourselves, but we'd never replaced this type of spring before and there were some dangers involved).

I used Petersen in the past and wrote a glowing review. However, I needed another garage door repair and called twice. Both times, the woman who answered the phone and took the message said that Eric would call me back. Never heard anything. All I can think is that business must be good to ignore a current customer - especially one who wrote a great review.

He showed up on time. Professional and upfront with repairs needed. Will definitely use them in the future

Called Patterson. They said they could come over that afternoon (New Years Eve!). We settled on Friday the 2nd. Eric arrived on-time. Now I have met folks who are passionate about wine, or art, or music, or books, but never have I met anyone who is totally passionate about garage doors. Eric is just that! He could have trashed the person who installed the busted door but praised their work pointing out the difficulties in the installation. He talked about delivery aware that the distributer for that type of door panel had gone out of business in our area (knew there might be one in Riverside). He talked alternatives from belt to suspenders to belt and suspenders. We chose a solution that was appropriate to our needs. I called Peterson Garage Door Co. to repair or replace my garage door opener. I talked with Jan at Peterson in the morning and described the problem. She said she would call Eric and get back to me in 10 minutes. She called back promptly and said Eric would arrive at my home in 30-45 minutes that morning. He arrived in 40 minutes and quickly analyzed the problem as a broken gear. His estimate was exactly what I paid. Eric professionally replaced the worn part and answered all my questions, lubricated the chain, and checked out the alignment of the garage door. Eric gave me suggestions on how to maintain the various parts of the garage door mechanism. Eric was very quick, competent and informed. He was a pleasure to work with.

Called and received a call back within a couple of hours. After explaining what I needed, we set up an appointment. Arrived on time and inspected the garage door. He educated me on what was needed regarding maintenance, programming of the remote control and safety features. He will check on the pricing and get back in touch. There was no charge for the meeting and he even suggested some easy do-it-yourself remedies that would save me money, but knowing that it would cost him some future work. Great service and attitude.

They never got back to me after leaving an extensive message.

They were on time. Price was less then he quoated. I highly recommend him.

I phoned for emergency garage door repair. The reception person was to speak with Mr. Peterson and phone me back to let me know whether he could come that afternoon. I had to call back myself, but everyone was unfailingly pleasant and accommodating. The service was done that very day, professionally and, I thought, very inexpensively. Mr. Peterson made the repairs, checked the function of the garage door, and lubricated it; it now works like new. He told us that, because of the age of the door, the spring may break, and he let us know how loud a noise it would make so we wouldn't jump out of our skin!

It went quite well and I'm pleased with the results. The door operates much more smoothly than before with less jerking and noise. Eric and his partner worked in 100 degree weather (which I volunteered that they could return when it cooled off in the evening) and explained all the particulars of the replacement. He offered to come back when the weather has cooled down to see if the door balks in cold weather.

THE COMPANY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE PRIOR TO HAVING SOMEONE COME OUT. I ACCEPTED THE ESTIMATE AND HAD MR. PETERSON COME OUT. HE FINISHED THE JOB AND I GAVE HIM MY CHECK AND IT WAS ALL COMPLETE WITHIN 2 HOURS FROM MY PHONE CALL TO THE COMPANY.

I called Petersen Garage Doors first thing in the morning. I was told that someone would come over around 11:00 that same day. Eric showed up just as promised, inspected the door and told me that he would have to order the springs. He said that he could come back the next day to complete the work. The following day he showed up as promised with a helper and spent well over an hour replacing the springs and adjusting panels. He also noted that the cable was frayed and said that he would replace that as well. My house was built in 1929 and the garage door is non standard size. Because of that, it took them a while to get a cable sized to work properly and a real struggle to get it installed. But, they did. When it was all said in done, Eric charged $75 for labor (well over an hours worth for 2 people) and the cost for the materials - all together the bill was $200. I told him he needs to charge more! When I need a new garage door (which will be soon), I'm calling Eric.

It went great. Eric Peterson was at our home exactly when he said he would be on the same day that I called for help. Very professional and helpful as to things to do and watch for in the future.

COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES SHOWED UP VERY QUICKLY AFTER WE CALLED. WORK WAS DONE EFFICIENTLY, EVEN CAME BACK TO CHECK EVERYTHING!! A NEIGHBOR ALSO CALLED THEM, HE WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH HIS GARAGE REMOTE, THEY FIXED IT FREE OF CHARGE FOR HIM!! CAN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!

THIS IS THE SAME COMPANY THAT INSTALLED THE GARAGE DOOR. THEY ARE WONDERFUL. THEY CAME OUT SAME DAY AND ADJUSTED THE SETTINGS ON THE GARAGE UNIT. THEY ONLY CHARGED ME FOR A NEW REMOTE AND NOT THEIR TIME.
